I always get the sense Im asking for too much. I walked in there to pre order Final Fantasy endwalker for PC, and I was told they dont sell it. And I when I got to my car, I was able to go on the website and see that GameStop is accepting pre orders for both Standard and collectors editions. Im honestly done with this location.

Have called multiple times and I’ve received no answer. Location has 3 different numbers listed (one on maps, another on Yelp, and a 3rd one when you look up the location of the store) Absolutely ridiculous that I gotta go through all this trouble for a pre-order that I’ll never be doing again through this company/location.

Excellent location, primarily due to employees. Ive been coming here for over a decade but one thing will stick out to me forever. In 2017 I decided that RE7 would be in stock and I did not pre-order it. I planned an entire weekend around this game, and when I came in it was sold out. I headed out the door when the worker told me that they had a pre-order, but could let me purchase that one last copy and they would wait for the next shipment to collect theirs. My night was salvaged, and my weekend made. I never got to properly thank you Shad, thanks man.

While the store was clean and polished. The employees demeanor; to me, screamed Im only here to sell you as much stuff as I can convince you to buy. Also while they do sell video games, consoles and peripherals...they only do so for current generation equipment. Yes the online store has prior generation gear, but theyve almost completely phased out those products in their brick & morter locations. Was a long time shopper at this company, but will not-likely return unless what I need is exclusively found there.

My favorite gamestop! Its out of the way for me but the super friendly and knowledgeable staff makes it worth going to. Any issues like trying to find games or accessories they dont have, they have been more than helpful in hunting them down and calling the stores to hold it for me.

This place is a joke you can buy brand new games cheaper at Walmart then there used games.Yea let’s give customers .5 cent for a game and sell it for 50$ in our store.

Rating is for this particular GameStop since well GameStop itself isnt that great...This specific one has always through the years had very helpful staff and is the go to for midnight releases (Usually held at 11pm the day before release) and they make sure those midnight releases are enjoyable for all waiting to get their game early by proving snacks and small free merch on occasion.

Poor service..... I went into the store yesterday. Was told by one employee to call in the morning when they open to hold an item. I asked how long they would hold the item for. The guy said til the end of the day. I called this morning. Another employee said theyd only hold it If id be able to pick it up right away.I live 20 miles away. I had planned to be I. The area later that evening. Apparently not in the time table of this employee. Thats unacceptable. Not going back. Ill price match @ Target or elsewhere before thinking about going back there.

Its a GameStop. Ive had poor to okay service most often but occasionally someone is really great about locating a hard to find game and getting it to the store for me (this has happened maybe 2-3 times over a 10 year period).

The sales rep was very nice. He went above and beyond helping us.

Sold me a clearance item at full price just because I called ahead. Saw him pull the tag off so I couldnt see.Update:Went back and asked the guy why he charged me full price and took off the clearance sticker. His excuse was that they hadnt updated their inventory. When I asked him about the price he said Thats the price it rang up as, so its correct. Well look bud, it rang up at full price cause you didnt scan the clearance barcode. Updating my review to 1 star for insulting my intelligence.

The best GameStop location between Rockford to Beloit. The staff jumps right at asking if you would like help, are very kind, and are knowledgeable. This location has been renovated and is well lit with nice flooring and a clean feeling, unlike some of the more dated GameStops in town that need some attention from corporate.

Alright, so this is the first of two reviews Im writing today. The first ones directed at Game Stop, the other to UPS. So, last july after the conclusion of the Destiny Beta, I was hooked and ready for the full game, so I went to the local store and asked to pre-order the Limited Edition. The clerk told me that they were sold out and I would only be able to obtain a copy by having it ordered online and shipped to me, no big deal, I asked him one question, and that is if I would be receiving my copy on September 9th (Yesterday), to which I was told yes. So I went ahead and dropped the $100 on the Limited Edition and had it ordered online to be delivered to me on the 9th.Now, Ive had bad shipping before, and I know this is out of the hands of the local store, but they need to be more well informed that they dont actually ship new release games on the Friday before the release (Like they should), so yesterday comes and Ive heard nothing in my email regarding an arrival today, so I check again, and they had only shipped it out of their Warehouse in Kentucky on Monday. I was given the tracking number so I looked it up, and it was sitting in the UPS place in Chicago ALL DAY yesterday, with no movement towards Rockford, which is only an hour away. So, the entire day goes by yesterday and I still dont have my copy, so now were here today, I checked this morning and the game was out for delivery at 6:10am. Its been about 11 hours since that now, and I still havent received my delivery, so I went to the UPS help line and got one of those typical Ill get there soon responses. Now, I live a mere 10 miles from where these UPS trucks are being sent out at the morning, it should not take them 11+ hours to deliver my game to me when Im 10 - 15 minutes away.Im not pleased at all with this entire experience. The staff at the store needs to be more well informed than to make a promise that Ill have the copy by a certain time and to know better than to trust UPS. I think its time they switch to USPS or FedEX, at least Ive had better customer service from them. 2 Stars for Game Stop, 1 Star for UPS. You need to do better than this.
