Great service even for the hard to find things.

After far to much headache with another company, Robert was timely, efficient, and professional getting us up and running in a fraction of the time it was taking the other guys. Whenever there was an issue, he was in our shop by the end of the day to get things taken care of, and made sure to take the time to explain the issue and the correction in a way that we less technologically literate could understand.

They have great customer service and everything but some of there stuff is a bit over retail but it’s good considering the gpu crisis

Have had my laptop fixed and having another computer rebuilt. Reasonable pricing . They also have some computer items for purchase like external and internal hard drives, USB hubs, cords, card readers and so on.If your computer crashes, they can usually recover your information.

PC Tech 2U is hands down the best home office, computer and/or support store in our area. Ive bought all my equipment from them for my business and continue to purchase new equipment from them. They help me troubleshot when necessary, dont over charge, and provide honest assessments.Other computer stores talk about supporting local businesses but PC Tech 2U actually does it! I refer all my clients to them because they have my trust.

Hands down great people and service.I brought my laptop for connection issues. They not only got me hooked into their WiFi, they let me sit at their business for an hour while my computer updated.I also asked them to stop by my house this week, they didn’t have time available but cleared a spot anyway. The guy is literally stopping by at 5pm on Friday. Talk about earning your trust.This place is legit.

Bob and his team will make sure your computer trouble is fixed right the first time and wont charge you ridiculous fees unnecessarily when you should be replacing your hardware instead. His prices are very competitive as well. A tech store you can trust.

Finding PC repair is worst than finding honest mechanic. This is my experience.. I brought them two desktop towers I built a few years back to diagnose which components were working and which were not. I first took them to You break and we fix and they werent able to diagnose anything after a week, which I found odd.They didnt have components or the right tech to test and diagnose. This was not disclosed to me when I dropped them off. But I digress. I picked them up from You break... then brought them both to PC Tech 2U.. Told them what You break We fix didnt do. They send they would check them out and give me a call. I get a call that they may have fried one and they unplugged it when they saw the smoke. They told me they then checked the wiring and it was wired wrong. Really horribly wrong. you break we fix didnt wire the computer properly before returning it. Never the less, I expected both places to check wiring before turning on the computer. This is the beginning of the unprofessional service called computer repair. PC Tech.. then offered to put in a used mother board with less features for no charge... I reluctantly said go ahead... mind you I went in to get my components diagnosed. So far Im taking hits with no resolve. I get it, it was a mistake on them for not checking the wiring... unprofessional. I later pick up the computer with a used mother they hustled from a free recycled computer and proceeded to charge me for the mother board and repair. I didnt intend on having any repairs done. I built the computers and did not have a working one to diagnose the other so I figured a computer repair shop would have these things. Neither You break.. or PC Tech.. could accomplish this simple task. The worst thing about PC Tech.. is hes not honest. He tells me my computers are old and not worth much... but at the same time I dropped off two computers and he tried to keep one. He didnt even bring it out. This snake said I thought you wanted to recycle it. Mind you I went in to get the parts diagnosed not donate a PC. The real kicker is he says my fried computer isnt worth much but raved about a the value of a old motherboard, that had less features than my fried mother board, was worth over a hundred bucks. The same mother board he offered for free when he said it was only worth $15 bucks... Yeah my head was spinning. I spent too much money for very little service. I also purchased some operating software which I ended up having an old one.. so I returned the newly unopened Windows 10 and this piece of work charged me a restocking fee... I literally saw him grab that item off a shelf just beyond the office door. 30% percent restocking fee they will only point out after purchase. Fortunately I still have recourse for legal remedy since its a hobby of mine. If you are not equipped to service older PCs and new PCs are warrantied what is it that you do??? I would avoid this place like a new strain of the Corona plague. Not to bash them only but none are up front and honest and standing by their word. As for You break we fix, they broke and cant fix anything. Im back to the drawing board trying to diagnose parts with out getting scammed. (JUST THE FACTS). My advice is dont leave spare parts.. Old parts are worth money. They seem to find value when you need them... If I got something wrong Im willing to listen. I posted this from a worthless twelve year old laptop Im sure theyll find value in. trust me. The hustle game in the Rockford area is strong.

Took my PC in to find out why the sound crapped out on me. Everyone at the shop was great, very friendly, knowledgeable & asked me to explain what was going on. It didnt take long & they found out it was actually my SPEAKERS which had took a dirt nap. BUT, while they had the PC they gave me a suggestion to upgrade my memory for better performance. I had asked them to look at the sound card, and to also check & see why the computer was acting sluggish recently. They had the available memory on hand & at great price. I had them install it. When I went to pick up my PC they wanted to show me that it was operating correctly before I left. I really like that. Well.... in that process they couldnt get it to boot, or something to that effect. Now nervous, they put my mind to ease & said they would look into this & get it working. They called me & said they had fixed it & it was just some weird think with my video card that it wouldnt boot when connected to a TV. Its an older PC, I get it. But what was great is that they (obviously ) didnt charge me anymore than what they had quoted me. IE, these are stand up people. They did me right & the PC is working today & actually performing better than when I took it to them.I highly recommend PC Tech 2U.

I have always been extremely satisfied with the knowledge and service provided and have recommended them often. I have purchased a couple laptops from them and have counted on them for service.My only complaint was that the young man who too care of me on my most recent visit was not wearing a mask. He told me asthma prevented him from wearing one. I hope he was telling the truth about this. If he really cannot wear a mask he should not be waiting on customers. He is also risking the health of his coworkers. If he is not telling the truth he should be reprimanded.As a side note, I have breathing issues but I care enough about the health of others to wear a mask. If I cannot wear a mask you will not fine me near other people. There is no excuse for putting others at risk.

As a local business owner PCTech2U has come to the rescue so many times. I appreciate the insight and advice both Dustin and Robert share with me and they have always been able to fix my IT/computer issues without breaking the bank. I would also like to add that they are honest and fair.

So I contacted PCTECH 2U during COVID19 and let me tell ya when you cannot actually go into a store to ask a million questions about building and PC its not an easy task. So up until recently when they did open there doors ( mask required) I was relying on FB message to have PCTECH answer my questions. These guys answered all my questions, keep in mind Im a Mom building a PC for my son and know nothing! The support along this process was overwhelming! They built my sons PC in a matter of a few days!! Best thing yet,is we supplied the graphics card which was lagging in the mail order and was the last piece to the finished product! Robert stayed over closing to finish up my sons computer just so he can get it just in time for his birthday. Thank you ROBERT and thank you PCTECH, he loves it and this made his 13th birthday..the BEST BIRTHDAY EVER! Thanks again for guiding me thru the process, I actually learned alot!

Awesome service from a group of family and friends who make it their business to make sure you come out of your experience with the best fit for a reasonable price. I recently just used them for help with putting together a new PC and it couldnt have went more seemlessly. One thing I particularly love is that they wont just fix or install things for you and have you pay; if you want, theyll show you exactly what was done and how to do it yourself. In fact, now that Ive got my PC put together, I plan on going in and getting some hands-on assistance with cable management.Theres no where else Id bring my PC to or recommend here in town.

Brought a troublesome computer in on Wed. morning and it was fixed and I picked it up the next afternoon. I dealt with Matt and he was very courteous and professional and spent the time to explain to me in detail what they found and answered any additional questions I had. I would very highly recommend them to others. Glad to have found them on Google Maps when looking for a computer service company.

Pctech2u was recommended by a friend. Took my computer in yesterday. Matt explained all the options. He called later in the day telling me he was successful in retrieving my data and would be ready today .I highly recommend them and will tell all my friends.

As a geek, its nice to have a local business that can help out when life is too busy! I went to the store on Alpine and am a highly satisfied customer. I couldve built my computer for less, but self-builds dont come with a warranty on hardware or software. The extra cost is worth it and is still several hundreds of dollars less than any Alienware or other online PC builder. Theyve gone above and beyond and Im happy to support this business.Also, check them out for any PC issues you may be having. They are excellent at diagnostics and computer repair.

This place is the worst! I dropped off my Mac book here, they couldn’t fix it. So, I picked up my MacBook and a few days later received a email asking to bring it back in they thought they had a way to fix it. If I brought it in and let them try it they wouldn’t charge me. Just to see if this new fix work! Of coursse it did! Now they want to charge me $165 for it and put a lock on it because I refused to pay! Scam artist!
