Ron the owner is amazing, I trust him over any other repair person for my car. He wont try to update or overcharge. He is a great guy running a great business.

Not a very friendly place. I took my Dodge Viper in for smog check and they refused to smog it because they could not see the catalitic converters. I even called beforehand to ask if they can do it, and the manager told me to bring it in. The car is all stock and any other place had no problem smogging it.

I would never recommend this repair shop and will make sure anyone and everyone I know and speak to will NEVER go to this shop and deal with what I have. The mechanic was EXTREMELY rude and disrespectful to me in front of my children and the manager continually spoke to me like I was a child. I brought my vehicle back in the day after they “fixed” it and all I needed was a new alternator. They dented my hood, my driver’s side window was messed up, my radio wouldn’t turn on, and now my car is making a horrid sound. The manager told me “we didn’t touch it, it wasn’t us. My mechanic said he didn’t do it so I believe him.” My car DID NOT have any of these issues before these people at the shop touched my vehicle. After paying the hefty bill, I brought it back less than 24hrs asking them to please fix whatever they did, they refused. I DO NOT RECOMMEND AT ALL! Save your money and go to a trustworthy shop...I will never recommend this place to a single person out there.

Well, I originally made a bad review and have since changed my mind. I went back and the owner was a man of his word, admitted mistakes, and gave me a free smog. I cant ask for more than honesty and the owner Ron gave me that. I regret leaving a bad review and Im now a happy customer. I will go back.

Ron and his crew at Rocklin smog and auto repair are by far the fairest repair shop I have dealt with in my 27 years in the automobile business. His prices are fair he fixes things properly the first time has great communication and great follow up I am very appreciative that I found him

THIS PLACE IS ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE. They take my car in for a brake problem, charge me 1300 dollars and claimed they fixed it, just to find out they fixed nothing. So we take it back in for them to actually fix it, they have the car for a week before they even call back. We go to pick the car up for the second time and this time it doesnt even start. They tell us we have to jump start the car so we do and as we are driving home we notice ATLEAST 3 additional problems, AND THEY STILL NEVER EVEN FIXED THE BRAKES. Now the car is in way worse condition than when we originally took it in and they wont do anything to help. ABSOLUTELY DO NOT RECOMMEND!

Services were reasonably priced and customer service representative was friendly and easy to work with. They didnt have enough time and/or personnel the day I was there so they asked if I could bring it back on a different day to diagnose that. I wanted them to check out a whining noise my car has been making when accelerating but I havent had a chance to reschedule.

Paid over a 1000$ for a new def heater and 3 manual regens with their computer. Gave me truck back with all warning lights still on, and told me theyd go off over time. Truck went into limp mode, and their mechanic couldnt figure out why. Then tells me i need to replace a 3200.00 dollar filter! Place is a total joke if your need need of anything other then a smog test

I had great service here! I got in and out in a very reasonable amount of time. They were friendly and didnt mess around. I know nothing about cars but I didnt feel like I was being taken advantage of like some places do when youre a woman. They brought my car right back to my same parking spot when they were done and even helped me back out as there were many cars around when I left and it was a tight squeeze. I would definitely go back there again.

I took my car here without an appointment and they were able to take care of me which was nice. They did forget to notify me when my care was done but I showed up at the end of the day and it was all finished.

I took my car in for smog check. They called me to indicate a problem with my car prior to doing the smog test. I was very pleased with the way they approached the issue in such a profession and timely manner. The cost for the fix was very reasonable and they where able to have my car ready to go within an hour. Great job to both mechanic and shop manager.

I asked for a smog test, the large older man behind he counter made a big deal about me being from another state, told me I made the wrong decision by moving here, literally laughed in my face and when I said I was in a hurry and asked the price he told me to go somewhere else if I can get a better deal. No customer service skills whatsoever, how are they in business with that guy working there as the first face people see?

Smogged my motorhome here and it passed which was great, go to DMV the next day and tell me the VIN dont match, long story short, I had to come back to re-smog it because they typed it my chassis VIN and not the actual VIN. I come back and now I gotta wait in line when I should be camping somewhere with my registered motorhome...😠

If you’re looking for an honest and reliable mechanic, DO NOT trust Rocklin Smog and Auto repair. After giving them many chances to make right of there wrongs, I’m here posting to warn others of what happened. Do not let them screw you over as well. After originally going in to have my front break pads inspected and changed for about 60 dollars, I received a call saying I would need new rotors as well and that would bring the price to over 400 dollars. I told them to go ahead with the repairs and I had no problem paying them. When I picked up my car (after hours because I worked out of town full time) I found that damage a mechanic caused was still present. When checking my mileage the mechanic pulled my key out in front of me and the entire ignition switch came out with it. That had never happened before and I voiced that to him. A couple months after the repair was done my breaks were not working correctly and my car would shake violently when breaking sometimes. After consulting with other mechanics it came to be known that Rocklin Smog and Auto repair had only replaced my break pads and left me with ruined rotors, even though I WAS STILL CHARGED over 400 dollars for rotor replacement too. I have video footage of the tire being taken off revealing old rotors that were not replaced. My self and my father have tried to resolve this problem multiple times and the store owner has no interest in helping us or giving me a refund. I’ve even went as far as contacting the BBB and they Rocklin Smog had no interest in resolving the issue that way. They not only practically stole money from me, but also put myself and any passengers I had in my car in danger and that is not okay. We Tried to communicate multiple times even at the shop and the owner has instead yelled at my father and walked away from him and cursed at him. They took advantage of a young girl because they assumed it would never be found out. That is disgusting. I advise all of you to take your business elsewhere.

Theyve been working on my vehicles for about 7 years. Ive had friendly service and not-so-friendly service. Sometimes I get cross communication because they dont put notes into the customers invoice accurately. Overall Ive had cars smogged here and had them fixed well.

Many Thanks to Rocklin Smog, and their Smog Tech. He has a genuine care and concern in protecting his customers, and I believe a Valuable asset to This company! We had purchased a 1995 Chev Blazer w/ missing cat converter, we bought new one as it was for the car, and 3 smog shops would not even look at it. all they saw was new cat converter not matching up to the cars Family number Rocklin Smog was the only one who did smog it, (passed smog) but failed it for cat not matching up. We made an appt. to see the REF and 2 weeks later we went. With paperwork in hand and a new egr put in, we again went to Rocklin Smog. A gentleman who worked there stated that the family number, I said the ref approved it. I called the regional director of the BAR and handed the Smog tech the phone, during the conversation I heard the tech say no sir, I will protect my customer, the shop and me. I smiled to myself and thought Bless this guy, he truly has a pure heart. We left that night, car not smog. later that evening (after they were closed) Alex called (Alex, person who writes up work orders) and said, Leslie bring your car back tomorrow, will take care of it. We did, It passed. What more could anyone ask for! a Company that goes the extra mile to make sure that their steps and understandings are correct, and that the customer is protected. They have good prices with coupons but other than that they are not very good. Office smells like body odor, most of their employees have a bad attitude and desperately need customer service training. They are not careful with your vehicle and have a high probability of scratching or denting your car. I was not impressed with how they drive my car into their garage ramp. My car is low and they were going too fast. They need to be more careful but their biggest problem is their workers unceasing bad attitude. They need to fire those guys and get some nice guys to work their. I HOPE THE OWNER READS THIS. Pay attention or you will lose business.

My car was having a starting issue. It was dead. I took it to Rocklin Smog on a recommendation from a relative. They fixed it but several days later it was dead again. I took it back a total of 4 times, even left it for a weekend. Every time I came back there was no effort to even apologize. After the 4th failed attempt I found Lehr Auto ElexElec in Natomas. They diagnosed it as a faulty reelay switch with the A/C. It has run perfectly ever since, no problems.

This place WILL try to take advantage of you. They are a very sketchy place. For example, they replaced some old,hoses on my truck because they were worn for me. They used vacuum hoses; however, those hoses arent meant to withstand high temperature gases that were going through them. My truck failed smog due to this. Heres the thing. THIS PLACE IS A SMOG SHOP. They knew my truck would fail to squeeze more money out of me. Im sure theyve done more sneaky stuff to my truck. Beware of this place.
