I really like this place, coming here for my first time the people was really nice. Plus they answered some of my questions I needed answered for. Highly recommend this place, and there glasses choices I feel are better then others.

This is the worst place I have ever gone to in the 30+ years I have been wearing glasses. The first visit I went in for normal exam. That went okay waited about 20 mins past my appt time before I was seen. Then once I was done when we went to pick out contacts and glasses they told be my total above my insurance would be over $1200. I have really great insurance and actually care 2 different insurances. In all my years I have never paid more than $300 above my insurance. And no they were not name brand. So I decided not to get glasses. So I decided just to get contacts. Well they did not have the ones they wanted me to try in stock. No problem I will wait the 7 to 10 days for them to get them in. Well that was over 8 weeks ago. Finally called to find out what was going on. They said please wait while I see whats going on. I waited 15 min and now someone has to call me back because I was talking to the call center and not the actual office. Now I am stuck using this company till my insurance is up again. This place is a joke. If I could give ZERO stars I would..

I’ve been a client of EYEcenter Optometric for about 10 years, and their level of accommodation, professionalism, honesty, and thoroughness has never waned. The staff are all very relatable and kind. My doctor has always given me the long answer when I have questions about my eye health or options for glasses, which I appreciate. Their equipment is all top-notch and thorough. I’d would highly recommend them based on the consistency of their service and professionalism, as well as their willingness to work with customers for particular needs.

They were nice and patient!!! I had to take my son with me when I paid the visit. And I am also nervous to take him with me while I have to take care of my business as my son was hyperactive and could not resist touching anything he saw, the optometrist simply explained to him why he needed to stay where he was as mommy was the one who needed to be taken care of for now. The next day, we visited the same optometrist again for this naughty boy. And the optometrist remembered his curiosity and spent some more time during the checkup to explain to my son how the machines worked and also some basic medical knowledge about eyes.

Professional staff, clean office, no appreciable waiting at all. My exam was insightful and produced an excellent prescription - Please thank the good doctor! The glasses I bought were ready very quickly... With a 4.0 reader section in the progressive lens (FYI Costco only goes to 3.0-at least on the glasses I was considering). I made the switch from my long time optometrist to here and I was NOT disappointed! They were extremely friendly and explained everything in great detail. They did not rush you and were very thorough!! I am so happy I made the leap to them!!!

This was my first time here as I just moved here recently. Everyone was so nice! They have high tech equipment and very updated compared to my past eye Dr. I think the guy who assisted me with my frames was Matt and he was amazing! He went over my insurance with me, gave me time to check for frames. He was prompt at coming back to me Once I had my few frames in my hand. I asked for his assistance to help out with the looks of them on my face. He was so helpful, honest and above all, a VERY POSITIVE person so full of light!!!

An excellent practice... everyone who helped me today was outstanding. My glasses are always a little complicated and I do wish my insurance helped cover more of the costs, but they worked with me to help find ways to get what I both wanted and needed and still save money. I actually learned a lot from this Dr. as well. I highly recommend this practice.

I needed my first pair of glasses, and went to EYEcenter Optometric. Everyone is friendly and professional. My eye exam was thorough, and all tests were explained, and results as well. I tried on a number of pairs of glasses, found one I liked best, ordered and received a text that my glasses were ready in about 2 weeks.I am happy withe my new glasses. I would recommend EYEcenter without hesitation.

Extremely friendly and professional, this was my first visit and it was quick and I got a new prescription and contacts for the first time. The staff was amazing and it’s a wonderful location!

Do not go here! There’s always a problem when I go here. I came here to get contacts from Dr. Gittins and the experience was horrible. It took over 2 months to actually get contacts that I can bring home and wear because every time I went to pick them up, they prescription was completely wrong. I ended up going back to be disappointed by the contacts around 6 times. The doctor let me take them home to wear around the 6th time that I went back, and they were still wrong. They told me to wear them for the 2 week adjustment period, and then I would be able to see 20/25 in them. After two weeks, I could still see better in my glasses than my contacts. I have pretty strong astigmatism, so I can never see very good in glasses already because they can’t make glasses in my prescription, so that’s saying something about those contacts that were supposed to make me see “20/25”. I had these hard contact lenses before from a different doctor, and I was able to see 20/20 perfectly for the first time, and it only took a week for me to receive my lenses, vs. 2 months at this practice. I hounded them for a refund for a month or so and just now got it. The team does not communicate well with you at all. The staff is nice, but one of them will tell you one thing and the other will tell you something else. For instance, I was told my exam would cost $80 when I booked the appointment, but once I was done with the exam, they charged me almost $200 just for the exam. I also didn’t even get a refund for the exam even though I expressed how deeply disappointed I am I’m their service. I literally got nothing out of it and just lost money. I am also a broke college student and was pressured by multiple staff members to get scleral contact lenses which I made very clear before that I could not afford those.

I love ❤️ this place. I was able to get in same day due to a cancellation. The staff are all amazing and friendly. They have state of the art exam equipment and are happy to spend the time answering all of your questions. I highly recommend and awarded ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Great place. Friendly staff. I went in for a standard eye exam and diagnosis of what turned out to be a cyst on my eyelid. Dr.Fuerst was very thorough and answered all my questions. I got a complete rundown on my eye health and a treatment plan going forward to eliminate the cyst. Very happy with the care I received.

This is my third bad experience from them, literally every time I go there is some kind of headache or stress. Im going to start with 4 years ago I had originally gone to kaiser to get my eyes checked and glasses before I realized my eye insurance was through vsp, since I already had a prescription I thought might as well use my insurance and get a 2nd pair of glasses and my mom recommended this place I go in ask if they have time for me to look around they said yes and let them know if I find anything I like. I found a pair I thought was cute and someone sat down with me she seemed helpful but when she went in the side room I could hear her and one of her male coworkers talking poorly about me, the jist of it was who do I think I am just walking in here. I was more then willing to make an appointment and no one else was looking at glasses when she came out she was all smiles after her little gossip session with coworker and I just exclaimed I was done and will not being taking up anymore of there time. Went to the eyeglass place in the mall was quick and easy and they were able to upsell me on glasses as well. Fast forward to 2 years later I decide I want contacts and my mom urges me to try them again, I thought things went smoothly we finally got a pair that fit well and were comfortable so we order them my pair arrives and a couple days later I get a package with my moms name on it. Turns out they sent hers to me as well, I am not under my moms insurance seeing as I at the time I was 28 and also I have not lived with my mom for about 6 years at that point so really no reason our accounts should be connected. I called and asked what they wanted me to do and they said to hand them off to her. I had to drive 30 minutes to my moms house to deliver a box of contacts that should of never been delivered to me to begin with, I just started ordering online from then on. Fast forward to about 2 weeks ago can no longer order because I need my prescription renewed so I try to call multiple times with no answer and eventually get an appointment for today I explained I need my prescription renewed and asked about the costs since it costs 20 to renew through 1800 contacts they told me my insurance covers it. Went in for my appointment today and all of sudden its $60 which the lady who was starting my eye exam informed me of not the front desk. We decided to investigate before we went further and lady who did help me up there was friendly, not exactly helpful but not much help you can give when someone else gave wrong information and you get stuck with the frustrated patient. I just told them I am going to go somewhere else instead. I have been in this office a total of 5 times and 3 of those occurrences have just been bad. I get things happen but I had to deal with catty workers, an hour long errand and mis information I just cant justify being a patient here anymore.

The best place I’ve personally visited for my eyes, they have a smart selection of glasses so there is plenty of variety w out overwhelming your senses w too many similar looking frames if that makes sense. Found it easier to select a style.The staff is beyond friendly.Kudos to this local. They provide a brilliant service. It’s obviously well managed and staffed carefully which we appreciate. They don’t ask for reviews either, their yelp and google scores are legit.

I dont usually post reviews good or bad unless I feel strongly about it. Unfortunately in this case I have had a negative experience with the Rocklin site over the course of the past year but especially the last couple months. My family has been going here for many years but will no longer be. This has caused me a lot of stress, time and ultimately money. The quality of care, customer service and attention to detail has been falling off throughout the site from optometrist to the opticians to the front desk. But to be honest the last straw and the reason I can no longer recommend them to friends or family was this past week when I went in to get some paper work and I could hear the male eye wear specialist, who I have felt pressured and intimidated by before and had asked twice in the past not be helped by, literally moaning and groaning because he had to fix their mistakes twice - they had printed the wrong prescription and then one with the wrong expiration date. It should have been me complaining for having to come back but instead it was him hiding in the back room, even calling her from the back, making the poor front desk girl run back and forth because none of the staff would come out (apparently it was lunch time?). The only thing I am guilty of is wanting eye wear that I can see well out of and wanting to not feel pressured to settle for less than good (notice not perfect) results.

Brenda Cohen is very professional, sharp and easy on the eyes (no pun intended). Glad to have her and the backup of the EYEcenter staff as my primary optometrist. Good customer service. Im a customer for life!! Thank you EYEcenter!!

All of the staff make you feel like a good friend and are there to help in any way. The doctors take time to actually listen to you, answer questions and let you know what to expect down the road but not to worry about now. And if that isnt enough for one to want to try EYEcenter Optometric, they have a coffee machine that will blow you away. Its a design your own brew that is fun and absolutely delicious. I cant think of one thing I wish they would change or do that isnt there now.

These folks are the best! The whole experience was good for me, the technology was state of the art. The doctor was a total human and great to talk to, and you could tell he was very good and knowledgeable. The lady that sold me my glasses was also excellent. One thing to keep in mind, you have to pay for quality, so why pay someone else who isnt going to live up to this standard?

Wait time was minimal, everyone very helpful and friendly. The exam seemed thorough, Dr. Cohen very engaged throughout. I chose frames with some input from a tech which was helpful. I would like the digital imaging to be included without an extra charge (alternative is to dilate eyes, not so pleasant), but it is optional.

I couldnt have had a better experience.

Almost 60 and finally needed to break down and get prescription glasses. Wasnt keen on the idea but decided to deal with it. No turning back...Two hours later, I was introduced to the awesome EYEcenter team. Knowledgeable, friendly, and above all, patient. Dr. Gittins is very personable and took time to explain different options of contacts that might be best suited for me. I was given a sample pair before just ordering something that might not have worked out. I did go back and he made a little adjustment and again gave me one to try before ordering. I appreciate his concerns for the patient and helping get the best results for your vision.

I felt that I staff was very helpful and polite. They greeted us (my husband and I) when we entered and were eager to assist us. The eye exam itself was very thorough and the retinal exam was whole lot easier then previously. It was like have space age technology in this little old Rocklin. I enjoyed meeting the new Doctor (sorry I am bad with names so I dont remember her name) but she was very personable and easy to speak with.All in all I think they all rock.

Dr. Gittins is awesome. Because of prior surgeries on my eyes, Dr. Gittins has to work extra hard to make sure he gets my vision to where we are “both” happy with it. He does not hesitate to take any extra time needed to make sure that happens. I have been with this group for as long as I can remember and never intend to change that. GREAT staff🤩👍🏻

I had an eye exam here, at EYEcenter Optometric. I was pleasantly surprised to find the entire staff so professional, courteous and good listeners. Every minute of their time is used on helping their clients. It was quick and pain free.The selwction of frames is reasonably priced. The Doctor was really down to earth.... On June 11, 2015 I had my annual eye exam. I have been seeing Dr. Randy Fuerst for some 25 years. My last visit was great as usual, nice ladies at the front desk, a very competent lady technician, who did all the testing and a great exam by Dr.Randy. I feel that the EYE Center Optometric is the best in the Sacramento area, with the latest in testing equipment, plus the skill of Dr. Randy and his staff. When you get there, you are not just a patient to make money from, you are a person that they genuinely care for.

RANDY FUERST, I believe, has saved my eyesight. His succinct evaluation, aggressive and ongoing caring treatment has been incredible. We are talking no-nonsense, serious and thoughtful kind of care, addressing a challenging and sight threatening eye issue. His responsive evaluations and treatments have made a world of difference. Cant say enough good things. That and literally everyone at the Eye Center has been awesome to work with. A pleasure…

Absolutely the most thorough examination my eyes have ever had. I especially liked the diagnostic scan of my retina in lieu of dilation, even if it was at an additional cost. Dr. Gittin was especially professional in his description of the condition of and changes in my eyes. I had no real wait for anything and was positively impressed by the amount of staffing they have for serving patients. I feel that I got my moneys worth and then some. If you think how important your eyesight is in the whole scheme of things, this type and quality of care is especially good.

I have been going to this office for 20 years. Now my daughter goes there and she had to get contacts. They did such a thorough examination and they were very patient while teaching her how to put her contacts in and taking them out. She was so excited that she left that very same day with contacts in hand!

Went in for an emergency...my son scratched his eye. They got him right in and took good care of him. Very much appreciated it.

Everyone was very professional. There were two issues (not big at all) 1) when I first walked in, I asked if I needed an appointment; I was asked to complete a form and have a seat. I waited 30 minutes to find out I needed an appointment. I would have rather completed the form and made an appointment without the wait. 2) one of the receptionist was either suffering from allergies or a cold, either way, when she coughed into her hand and then pick up a pen and offered it to me. I wish she had excused herself, even if that meant I had to wait while she washed her hands.

Everyone is always so friendly, I love coming here! I thought my glasses that I had broken were long gone but they fixed up my pair while I ordered a new pair as well.

We have been going to the EYEcenter for over 20 years but times change and unfortunately so has their service and not for the better. Over the last 10 months it has been miss communications, delivery commitments they say will only take 3 to 4 days taking weeks with no calls or updates, to not even getting call backs from staff to make or reschedule appointments. Bummer to see this happen.Update: Dropped to one star. Just found out that they switched to a new system and never placed the order for my sons contact even though they collected the money over a month ago. Just highlights the poor service you can expect these days

I lived and raised my children in Rocklin for 22 years. We’ve been patients of Dr Coen nearly that entire time. I remarried in 2009, and I relocated to the Bay Area (temporarily until my husband retired), and I kept Dr Coen as my eye doctor despite the 95-mile drive (one way). My son has done the same. We like Dr Coen that much!

SECOND OPINION? A worthwhile read! Amazing experience at The EyeCenter Rocklin.All staff members were personable an highly competent. Dr. Brenda Coen and staff provided exceptional service and client care. Dr. Coen was warm & engaging, and provided the most thorough testing I’ve experienced in 30 yrs. I recently had an exam that was done using only the phoropter, or main instrument in the exam room. I was given the diagnosis of a form of convergence insufficiency. Most grievous to me was that I was offered no hope for improvement, and only a prescription change for treatment. There was a significant contrast between this outcome and the outcome at the EyeCenter. Dr. Coen used state of the art equipment (at least 5 machines), extensive testing, and vast experience to produce a valid outcome. She refined the diagnosis, gave treatment options, and assisted with an achievable action plan.Rarely do I offer ratings, but this was a noteworthy experience from a competent and credible team!-R. I recently saw Dr. Coen for my yearly eye exam. As always, the exam itself was very thorough and the staff was friendly and helpful. Dr. Coen is always very friendly and professional. I never feel like I am being pressured to buy anything that is not necessary or not what Ive asked for. Everyone is very accommodating to the patients needs. I highly recommend this office and will be back next year!
