Either they are way overpriced or are intentionally overcharging me, its hard to know because many items are not labeled and Ive never been able to get an itemized receipt. The last time I went I got a bag of rice, a couple packages of paneer and naan and the total was $50. I had started going here because they are more reliably stocked than another Indian grocery further up Rockville Pike but at least at that one I never feel like I am being gauged.

Do not follow FDA rules, no price tag on selling items. Keeo change in price based on customer. This store should be close. Is there any FDA insoector looking for their own rules or just taling cash from owner and approving licence?I recommend not ti visit unless owner follows the FDA rules.

Its a small store. They do have most South Asian groceries. But very limited produce items.Biggest concern I had was on their billing. It doesnt say which item costs what. Everything on the bill just says Grocery! Kind of confusing and you dont know how much you are paying. Also the prices are not labeled properly. There are much better Asian stores around.

This is a small store with a lot of stuff. The produce is fresh and nicely packaged. I asked for a hard to get item during covid and was told it would be in on Friday. I didnt go back for a few weeks but he remembered that I asked for it. I think this was pretty amazing especially since we are all wearing masks. Highly recommend this store.

Just be careful and check your receipt every time when you buy stuff from their. They either overcharge you (compare their price with near my Indian stores and you will find out) or charge you twice for the same item. Not only me, I have found them doing the same thing to others; once they convinced an old guy in front of me to buy 10 samosas for $5 but they packaged only 8 when they charged him for 10, they did the same thing to me two weeks before that. You would be better off driving extra couple of miles to a different store for a genuine service and better price.

I have actually owned and ran a successful Indian meat and grocery market . The service at this store and lack of customer service skills, product knowledge, curtesy, body language need to be addressed for the future of the business. Typical peering looks by desi men at ladies does not sit well with customers especially personal questions when you don’t know them. Your manners and body language can make or break your business. What I recommended costs nothing !

This place has stuff that is long past its shelf life. Despite bringing it to the attention of the manager i found the same stuff back on the shelf the next time i visited. Last i bought a bottle of Marmite and sent it with my parents back home overseas. They found the bottle was already opened and more than half of it was used. Its atrocious.

This place is full of items that are expired beyond the sell by date. It’s unbelievable how many items they leave out like this and no one notices!! They should be reported to food regulations and their license revoked or suspended until they comply to food safety standards. They also push you to buy products that you don’t even need or came to shop for when you go to check out.

As the other reviewer suggested, they intentionally hide the prices and try to charge it higher prices. I needed a couple of spices and didnt wanted to go all the way to Patel brothers so I thought Dana Bazaar- close to my house cant be that bad but it is that bad!!!!! He charged 100gms - 3.5oz of turmeric $2.99, which is ridiculous. They try to cheat you out of your money. Avoid this place like a plague!!!!!!

An option for Indian grocery when you are looking for the standard items. For our main grocery shopping for Indian food related items we generally tend to gravitate towards the Korean grocery stores like Lotte Plaza and H-Mart since they carry the widest selection of Indian grocery items and are also huge and clean and have stuff that is not past the expiration date (things that may be the opposite at Indian grocery stores).

He is a thief! Do not go there! 400 gms or paneer 4.99....800 gms 10.99? R u serious? When asked about price says we dont make enough money. The owner is straight up theif! I would rather not eat Indian food then giving away money like that. 8.99 for 30 piece roti....he just randomly places the prices without having sticker on any of his items. If you go there be ready to be pay a fortune! I would give them negative drive if I could.

I have been to this store a couple of times, when I am in urgent need for some Indian groceries. As someone else mentioned, many items carry expired date. I bought some soup packets and later to realize, that expiry date on box was almost a year backs. The owner who handles cash register is totally unprofessional and keeps pushing to buy supposedly fresh samosas etc. I mentioned couple of times, I dont need some of the items, yet he kept asking me I should try. Also, he kept asking me some of the personal questions like why I like indian food? if im married to indian person- which is none of his business. I dont recommend this place to anyone. I am not going there anymore.
