Great selection of kitchen and bath tiles with a few spaces setup to get ideas. Many sizes textures and patterns. They’ll let you take tiles home if needed. The staff are very friendly and helpful. We needed a few visits before we were able to make a decision.

The customer service here is exceptional. When I came in, I was immediately greeted and JoJo did a phenomenal job helping me. Super proactive and knowledgeable. I cannot recommend them enough!

This place has lots of very nice tile options. And the designers are very helpful. Its best to make an appointment, but they let you look around at the displays by yourself. And there are a lot of displays! Nice that its open on Saturday, as well.

Leland has many years of experience in the field and is able to offer expert advice to consumers and interior designers alike! He has great taste. Wonderful! The designers helped me choose a perfect tile for a hard spot (had to fit in with a lot of other visual activity in the room). I sat on the information for over a year and the tile was discontinued by the time I got back to this project. Brenda managed to locate some boxes and when I didnt order enough to complete the job she searched again until she found another box. She also expedited the delivery so that I was able to get the tiles the next day (less than 24 hours). I cant say enough about how helpful Brenda has been. She literally saved the day - TWICE!! Great selection of tiles, terrible customer serviceWe went to the Chevy Chase store. There, we experienced the weirdest customer service, to say the least .The whole time we were in the store, we were the only customers. When we arrived, three sales persons were in the store. One on the phone, the other one sitting at a desk and the third one standing. Nobody acknowledged us or tried to help as we were going about the store.We finally went to the lady who was standing and explained what we were looking for. We showed her some of the things we liked and asked if they had similar model. She first said she didn’t have anything similar. As we insisted, she very reluctantly took us to look at another tile sample — and immediately left us without a word ! We had to go back and get her in order to ask for the price. She said she didn’t know and, again, she abruptly walked away from us. We literally followed her to ask if she could please look it up. She slowly walked to her desk and came back with a piece of paper with a price written on it — which she gave to us without a word. The price was by the tile and not by sq feet, but she declined to help us convert it into sq feet so we could compare it with the other models. Instead, she went to sit at her desk and started flipping through a catalog. After a while, I decided to look at models on their website on my phone. I found a couple I liked and went to show them to her asking about price and availability. Again, she was unable to help, simply saying they did not have it in the store. At that point, we gave up and left.The models we saw were very nice and I would have loved to purchase from them, but the whole process was just too painful. I though of going back again a few days later, but at the thought of going though the same experience, I got discouraged and decided to purchase my tiles somewhere else.

We have been working with Architectural Ceramics, specifically with Leland Decker, and have been so pleased. The Rockville store has a huge variety and selection of high quality materials, and everyone there is helpful.Leland is super knowledgeable and patient. His experience has really helped as we navigate our master bath and kids bath renovations. We will definitely go back to A.C. and work with Leland!

Great customer service and expertise. I had a bad batch of stone tile from the factory and they made it right. No questions asked.I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for high quality tile and products.

This store has a really great selection of tile that I havent seen elsewhere. If you cant find what you are looking for, give this place a chance you may find the perfect tile for your renovation project.

The designer Ginnie acts completely entitled and has zero patience. You would think they weren’t working on a commission structure.

We had a great experience at Architectural Ceramics. A consultant was assigned to help us very quickly after we arrived without an appointment and he was very helpful taking us through the myriad of tiles and assisting us in a couple of follow-up visits regarding our bathroom project. We ended up choosing a beautiful seagrass limestone tile for the floors and wall and a snazzy pebble tile for the shower floor. We followed Michaels suggestions regarding grouting and sealer and were very pleased with the finished bathroom. Not only was Michael helpful and responsive throughout, the follow-up from customer service regarding our order was very attentive. I compared some prices on the Internet and found the slight premium on ACs prices more than worth the service, convenience and reliability.

I worked with Michael Kilgore and Leland Decker at Architectural Ceramics picking out the backsplash for my kitchen renovation. I brought in my cabinet samples and they quickly pulled together some great ideas. They were very professional and easy to work with. I had a great experience and am thrilled with the result.

I have been using AC for many years on a professional level specifying tile for project and when it was time for me to updates my wife bathroom I knew I could trust them. But there was only one problem- I had to bring my wife to the showroom in Rockville and she was amazed by all of our options and I had to refocus her on our plan. But once we met with Tim he was tremendously helpful as I knew I wanted to use the 4x16 Streamline tiles but the accents and floors were a total mystery to me. He talked us through the options and at the end we have a beautiful product, which was so affordable and arrived earlier then expected so i could start on the project before Memorial day weekend. I can not say how much help the AC staff and Tim have been. We will use them again and I highly recommend them to anyone who is trying the DIY approach.

Ray who works in the back was extremely knowledgeable and went out his way to help me find anything i need; even with other stores.best customer service ever.

The customer service person Ernesto treated us rudely when we tried to return a box of bullnosed tiles. We no longer had any need for these tiles since we changed our plans for the bathroom. Ernesto was not helpful, and he treated my wife with some distrust when she asked him how much we paid for it, and he said I cannot tell you the price of the item since you are not in the account. We decided to talk to the manager (Roger) and he said the same policy: that tiles from different lots may not have the same color. So he cant accept them. Even if he accepts the tiles, they will just trash them! No support at all from Architectural Ceramics. We received a cheap sealant as a token for being their customer! AC just lost a customer.

Waited for ever for help. Customer service was horrible. No one seemed interested even asking if I needed help. After trying to find my way around the store to figure things out I finally left. Person at the front desk was more interested in texting on her phone.

Great place to get ideas with good selections and DIY supplies and knowledgeable staff

We had a dream photo kitchen picked out and they were able to to help us match the tiles we wanted, colors, & style. Plus we saved more than at another vendor and it was done earlier than expected. We will go back for the bathrooms in 2013!
