Had the falafel sandwich. Very nice complement of flavors. And the falafel was crisp and delicate. Delicious!
This store recently changed hands, it is no longer owned by the Egyptian woman mentioned in the previous review.I came here for lunch today for a falafel sandwich. It is very clean, with a brand new kitchen, and everything is homemade by a very friendly woman. Its not quite the Pita Hut replacement I was looking for, but certainly the best falafel sandwich I can get in the area right now! I bought a couple meat pies (delicious) and groceries as well.I will most certainly be back to try more of their menu offerings (pide, sandwiches, daily specials).
Delicious, authentic Lebanese food and market. I had the falafel sandwich and I have to say it was the best Ive had in the DMV. It hit every umami note: sweet, sour, savory, crunchy, crispy, cooling and fresh! The pickled white cucumber and beets added the most refreshing, surprising, and just plain delightful contrast. I also had their kibbeh and spinach pie, both of which were tasty little bites of middle-eastern yum! This unassuming little gem of made-to-order Lebanese munchies is hidden from the street view, and I only happened upon it because I was getting my nails done next door. If youre in Rockville, this place is in the Giant shopping center on 355 and Washington Street. Oh and they also have a small market stocked with middle-eastern sundries like rose water, hookah coals, Turkish delight, tahini, Greek cheese, sesame candies, and more! This will be my goto lunch spot from now on!
I purchased some items from this market. It was overpriced, which is OK. But when I went to pay, the cashier, an Egyptian woman, wiped the prices of the bread from the board just as I was getting to the counter, then she proceeded to overcharge on all the items that had no sticker prices. I called later and inquired about the price of the meat pies and I was given a price about 60% less. Avoid like the pest. They are thieves.
I Love it ... they are so good
Very bad customer service and overpriceNot worth the visit
