I was excited about trying this place out since I just got braces and needed something soft and easy to eat.The service was quick and pleasant. The place is nice and small, very cozy.My only concern was the amount of grease my food had. By the photos, youll understand. I think this amounted to a tiny cup of grease.Ill make this short...it wasnt the best meal ever.

Their school lunch could be better. Definitely not the food you see in the pictures. I wouldnt ever eat here by choice.

This is a tiny hidden gem. Excellent prepared foods to reheat at your convenience plus a serving hot food bar with plenty of delicious food options. Also a good variety (small) of quality Italian ingredients. They cater for large events too. High quality!

This is a hidden gem. In addition to tasty subs they have a freezer full of high-quality meals you can reheat at home. Prices are very reasonable and the staff are very nice.

Tried this for the first time last night and was super impressed. We had the chicken marsala meal with broccoli and potatoes and it was excellent (and a TON of food given the price). Perfect easy dinner for a group.

Vignola’s has been offering this amazing meal deal since the pandemic started, the deal is good Wednesday through Friday and we tried it for the first time yesterday. It was amazing! We got the sausage penne and two sides (roasted vegetables and garlic bread), it’s a lot of food and I won’t have to cook much this weekend. Not only were the portion sizes generous, but the quality was outstanding my husband was shocked it didn’t cost twice as much! We will be doing this again, and soon.

This is literally one of the best sub shops in the greater Bethasda area and is also one of the best kept secrets due to it’s location which is hidden from view along Boiling Brook Pwky. A close colleague of mine took me three for lunch some time ago and I have been a fan ever since. The crusty bread, fresh quality meats and delicious toppings make this take out focused deli top notch.

I noticed the shop on a test drive and knew I had to come try it out asap! I had the most wonderful experience there today. The service was incredibly kind and generous. The selection was fantastic and Im so thankful to have some delicious food ready to cook and eat for dinner. I went in looking for one thing and came out with 5! Their cannolis were so good... i picked up some tiramisu to enjoy after dinner, and for another day, i purchased some fresh fettuccini noodles and the bolognese sauce they had ready in the freezer. I asked about their catering services and he handed me a menu and was gracious to show me the options they have available for family dinners. Weve got the menu hanging on our fridge now, because we are sure to be regulars at Vignola Gourmet!

If I could take away stars from this guy, I would. The rudest abd nastiest store keeper Ive ever come upon. I started ordering for my kids and ask he kept saying was they wont like that....dont order that.

Delicious!! I ordered the meatball sub for lunch. This place is a carryout, so they are quick. The sub is a decent size with 5 large meatballs. The cheese and bread are good (I got the soft roll). All I need is some more of the delicious marinara sauce to dip. Everything seems freshly made.

This place is a hidden gem (no really, it is hidden....hard to find but worth persevering and finding). Great takeout frozen options. Excellent arincini and pasta bowls. The sandwiches look great too. Service was very good. Not really a lot of seats so better for take out.

This place always delivers. They serve awesome food for reasonable rates, there are no long waits even when the spot is packed.

So I’ve been here multiple times just to try different things on the menu and the food is decent at best. I’ve also had the unfortunate experience with seeing small rodents in the kitchen as well as the front bathroom. From what I’ve heard it’s a long-standing problem so I’m not sure how they plan to deal with this but I will not be spending my money here any longer.

I love this place. The homemade pastas are wonderful. The sauces are great. Everything is fresh and delicious. Im a big fan.

Great cold cut sub

A neighbor told us about this out of the way spot. A little difficult to locate because it is not in the main shopping strip, rather it is in one of the little brick buildings in front of the strip. It was definitely worth the hunt. Had the Arancini and it was delicious.

Vignola used to be a lunch favorite in downtown Rockville. When that whole area was torn down, we lost our beloved Vignola. But they are back tucked in the shopping area off Bolling Brook Parkway. All the old favorites are there for lunch. Carryout or eat in (although the eat in area is limited). Where Vignola excells is in their home cooked entrees, frozen to go. Chicken Caccatore, lasagna in many different combos - meat, sausage, chicken, and veggie - plus other Italian faves are all there. Thinking of a catered party? Think Vignola. Btw, their arrancini are to die for.

The food is good but if you want something specific you should order early to make sure they dont sell out. You know its good if they sell out of something.

Good place. Great when compared to its competition (which is ...?). Good subs, meals, mozzarella, and nice staff. I have had better, but not that much better, not in this area, and this place is consistently good, I wish I had a 50 person event to have them cater.

We first discovered La Vignola in 1988, a tiny little family Italian carryout in the old downtown Rockville. The large frozen dinners were healthy, delicious and homemade and easily fed 2 for 2 nights at a reasonable price. This wonderful place created our romantic dinners for two, (carryout since we had 3 small kids under 5). Then they expanded their carryout deli to include a busy small restaurant. But, when Rockville remodeled itself and raised its rents, all the little shops left and we lost our Italian getaway. They tried to reopen across from Wintergreen, but it didn’t last and I never thought I’d taste those delicious dishes again. Amazingly, I found them just a few days ago.Now called Vignola Gourmet, they are located across the parking lot from Katz’s / Koshermart / Moti’s Market, on Boiling Brook Pkwy. They have the same dinners, use the same recipes, with the same wholesome ingredients, at a great price. For just $12, you can buy 2 1/2 lbs of Zuccini or Eggplant Parmesan, Chicken or Meat Lasagne, Spinach Cannelloni, Vegetable Lasagna and many other frozen dinners, all delicious. Stored in a huge freezer, just find your piece of Italy and take it home. They are catering and carryout only. Four generations begun by Arturo and Irene, then Luciano and Alma, and now Giovanni and Ashley, with his nephew Biago, have made this a place to enjoy real Italian food.

Like the chicken nuggets and macaroni and cheese and pizza. But the other stuff is not that good unless your starving and they need to give bigger portions.
