Steve is a good guy with plenty of patience to explain the unknown to customers. Plus its a cool laid back place that makes you feel like they care about their customers. Ive been to other race shops that ignore you if your not a repeat customer. Steve is cool no matter if you buy a $5 dollar sticker a $20 airfreshner or a $5k turbo kit. He treats everyone equally and thats what makes me a repeat customer at overspeed.

Horrible experience at this shop. I went in to get dyno'd and the kid they use to drive the car around the block to get into the shop out back peeled out around a corner and slammed into the curb at the light seriously damaging my powdercoated wheel. When I confronted them about it they said it was old rash....you can clearly see that is fresh metal showing on the rash. Then the kid in the shop wants to start acting al macho and wanting to fight me...LOL...Really now? C'mon man. This is supposed to be a proffessional shop run by men. Not hormonal kids that loose their temper. Im part of a large car club here in Houston and none of them will ever come to Overspeed for anything after this happened and word of mouth WILL get around that your shop is crap. All I wanted was the kid to take responsibility for what he did and I didnt even get that. Then, Steve, the owner, does ZIP to help me out. Least he could do was offer to repair the wheel. Not even powdercoat it, just repait it. Nothing, not even that. Im not a troublemaker. Ive been to plenty of race shops and dynos with my crew and never had any problems, but this situation is just stupid and pisses me off that no one would accept responsibility. We even went outside to the curb and found the fresh conrete gash, I mean, how much more clear cut does it get than that!? Really let down by a shop that had good reviews.
