It was my first time here and I enjoyed my visit. It was fun to browse as everything is organized so well. The shoe aisles are labeled by sport/activity type so it’s easy to find just what one needs. They even have dance/ballet shoes, kids shoes, and work boots. Everything one needs seems to be under one roof: from sports, to exercise, to camping, to hunting, and everything in between are here. I even found a whole aisle of shelves filled with support braces for athletes or therapy. The employees, though busy, are helpful. Restrooms are clean. Don’t miss the clearance section on the west wall. And I got both a printed & emailed receipt. Very convenient. This store will get a regular visit from me.

Our Rescue during the pandemic! We were looking for a way to exercise and stay fit. We were on a mission and walked into Academy and found our gem. This has been a great addition to our household. They assembled and loaded it before we left. Thanks Academy!

Terrible selection of mens shorts and after July, you may as well forget about finding anything in your size as they start prematurely stocking cool weather clothing (It doesnt get cool here until November). Also the style of shorts within a brand, is constantly inconsistent. This is probably a manufacturer issue but, you find what you like one year, then never find them again the next.

Actually, I had done some research on some new shoes bur wound up finding a pair that had what I was looking for which website did not show. This is why I like brick & mortar better. Plus got to enjoy some of the day as well.

Just went to buy an elliptical a few minutes ago and experienced possibly the worst customer service ever. We pushed the button to get a sales associate to help us, and someone came, but then told us that someone else will be over in a minute to help us. Waited for over fifteen minutes - the same guy came back a few minutes later, spent about a minute scanning the barcode on the machine we wanted, said nothing, and then walked away. He walked by at least three more times afterwards without saying anything. No one else came and we left. It was a skinny guy with terrible posture - someone please train him on how to treat customers.

Beautiful and clean!! Courteous sales staff! And offer much more than the Houston stores in variety. Of duty cop security made me feel unwelcome.

Expensive for everything unless its on Sale. Do not do FFL transfer here (40$) its way over priced go to gun stop (25$) in pleak its 8mins from here.

This is a very top notch Academy, there is always an employee nearby if help is needed. checkouts are always the quickest. ive had numerous assistances with the employee Kevin, not sure if hes a manager but hes certainly the most knowledgeable employee there, hes like a human computer, he knows exactly where every item is located in the store. simply brilliant person, an asset to the company for sure.

Out of all the Academys this one I like the most got a friendly staff real helpful with knowledge if you dont know. Always buy odds and ends different merchandise but what I mostly come in for is ammo lately the one off of 59 and Highway 6 thats some good employees there but some are rude. But the one off of Highway 6 going towards Fresno they were pretty good stuff theyre just like the one in Rosenberg. But for the oh and Ill keep up the good work I know we are in a pandemic dealing with a lot of people at one time and plus the holidays dont help.

The store is very clean as to be expected. However, stay away from the adult knee pads unless you are a midget, they run extremely small. I purchased the L/XL for adults and struggled trying to put it on. I finally gave up and returned them with no problem at all.

Good selection. Always plenty of stock available. Store is clean and organized. Staff are pleasant. The negative thing I have to say about this location is the wait times to check out. Sometimes you sit in line for 10+ minutes. Overall great store.

Inventory was limited and prices were on the high end. Maybe its due to COVID. Did not find what we were looking for.

Can’t shop in peace due to their negligence of maintaining a safe place for customers. Was shopping around late Tuesday and noticed a lady with her two girls all without masks and employees standing near by not even addressing the issue.

Did not have any rain gear for me (mens)

Went to this sports store to find soccer shorts for my kids. Only they dont sell soccer brand clothing. 2 young kids showed me basketball shorts and said they were soccer shorts. Lol.... Wrong! Umbro soccer shorts is what Im looking for. Not the long Adidas shorts (those are basketball shorts). This store needs to get a clue on what soccer clothing actually is! So, I ended up putting back everything I had in my hands and have decided to take my business elsewhere. Never again will go to academy

Awesome customer service from John in hunting/fishing department, Over The Phone!!! Hats off to this man. Buy the time I got there and picked my online purchase John was off, but would like all to know I have been checking Academy Stores in Houston (where I live over the phone) for months looking for an item. Most of time I wouldn’t get an answer and when I did I got someone who sounded like they really did not want to be there working. Great job! I’m driving 40 mile round trip to frequent this store from now on.

This is a store with average stocks and thngs. There are more items in sugarland store. The customer service is good. They used to provide first responder discount, but this store not giving first responder discount. Overall this one is a good store with good collection of items

I was looking to purchase a pair of comfortable walking shoes. I was approached by an associate named Damien and he gave me the best customer service while I was there! He would not leave until he made sure I had the right pair of shoes! He went all over the store to find my size in the shoes I wanted. He went above and beyond great customer service for me! This young man also said yes sir and no sir while we were having our conversation. I can honestly say he was raised right! Salute to his parents and god bless his family! Great job Damien!

Bad customer service. treated like another whatever customer that just walks in. Normally I don’t care, but I was barely listened to or acknowledged when I had asked questions about my card. There was a female there I believe was named Emma who was really disrespectful there you guys need to let your associates know how to speak with other people! Not taking my money anymore.

They simply dont sell anything for sporting official. A few shirts and pants but really lame selection. Without the official the game isnt official. Just saying.

Just like to say thanks to all the staff at the only store That I shop at Academy Im an addict outdoors man thanks to Cory Brady store Director he has taken the time to call me back when I hade an Issue with a concept reel. Is reason like him that. Academy in Rosenberg is doing so well. There are so many stores to chose from but why. Phill the store Manager was very nice and understood the visit to Academy . Great workers! There is always someone greeting you at the door. Then I have found there is workers thought out the store asking if anyone needs anything. Very clean last several times I have gone. Very good customer service.

We love academy always! This one is big enough that you dont have to smooshy through the racks to find stuff. They always have a good stock of what we are looking for and never a shortage of sizes in clothes.

Looking for comfortable shoes, I chose a pair after looking at a bunch. Price was good, so I bought them. Just a little slow checking out. Not bad really there were quite a few checking out at the time.

I came in to get another pair of Vans, but they didnt have the plain black ones I was looking for, but I did fine two pairs of chucks, and my husband and I had a very awesome conversation with a Harris county sheriff deputy former marine. The staff was very helpful too and kind when we left after closing time.
