This guy is the number one true mechanic awesome job awesome prices awesome awesome
Very good experience
Dont bother, place is more of a crappy car dealership now and an eye sore. hopefully we can finally clear this place off the map and get something better in there. though that area isnt particularly happy with change so it may be awhile but skip this auto service and head to Johns down the road, higher prices but at least you will have some by the book work to fall back on.
Weve taken our vehicles to Bubbas for several years. They always show us great kindness and respect and provide timely service. I appreciate Bubbas for all theyve done for us.
Honest.....the most important! Excellent prices. You cannot go wrong with Bubba.
Been a customer for over 10 years and never had any thing but excellent honest service, but now Bubba has changed in the worst kind of way, hes living out of the shop, his shop is filthy, tools and garbage litter the shop floor, his parking lot is in disarray with cars and junk. Not knowing this I called to schedule an appointment to have my car worked on it was a late night drop off and he said the car would be ready the next day late afternoon. I called in the afternoon to check the status and he said it would be later than he first said, he said be here at 8:00pm which worked good for us, this is where we realized Bubbas change, when we showed up to get the car the car wasnt out side and the shop appeared to be closed I went to the office door and opened the door and realized that the office was his bedroom, food and garbage everywhere and the smell was terrible, the car wasnt ready it wasnt even half completed, he said he got side tracked but promised it would be ready in the morning he was also speaking very fast and not making much sense and acting very strange definitely not the man Ive known for many years. The next morning I called he said 9:30am when we arrived the same thing, not ready, he said 2 more hours, 3 hours later we showed up and the same thing but this time I waited 45min later he moves his scattered tools and junk around and has me back the car out, he could only take cash which was also a first, when I left I realized the car wasnt right it lacked power like the timing wasnt right I turned around and was back at the shop within 10min and Bubba was nowhere where to be found and no answer on the phone. I will not be surprised if he loses his business or if he hasnt already, its sad to see such a good man decline to such a state. If youve been a customer before please verify whats in this post prior to leaving your car with Bubba.
Even veteran customers need to beware. Bubba has been my mechanic for 8 years and I hate that I even feel the need to warn people to stay away from his business. For years, I have recommended Bubba to family and friends because of how honest he was and because his prices were better than anywhere else. I am not sure what has happened to him in his personal life but it is affecting his work without a doubt. The place is unrecognizable, especially the office and his business line has been disconnected. He seemed no different to me when we were discussing my car and he gave me a cell phone # to contact/hear from the next day. I heard nothing for two days and my calls went straight to voicemail. I did leave voicemails, which were never listened to. I got sick to my stomach when I saw other reviews from other long-time customers and I just decided to go get my car. Upon arriving at the shop, Bubba was not there but finally called me from an unknown number that I later Googled was from the Trocadero bar around the corner. He asked if I had another key to my car. He had my spare somewhere in the shop but said he couldnt get to it. I told him I was at the shop to pick up my vehicle. He then told me that my car was parked in front of a house in the Sunrise and Cirby area someplace but he could not give me an address. He had my friend and myself follow him to my car, which felt so shady in and of itself but we did get to it safely. Bubba left abruptly and when I started my car, the gas light was on and Im sure if I had driven 2 miles it would have been bone-dry. Im not sure where Bubba drove my car that day or what plans he had for it being so far from his shop, but he abandoned it once it was extremely low on gas and gave me no information until I physically took it upon myself to find out. Not sure what condition my car would have been in otherwise. I hope he gets himself and the shop together. Instead of being in his shop during his morning business hours, he was at a bar and instead of trying to fix my car, he abandoned it far from where I entrusted him with it. Bubba is nothing less of a genius when it comes to cars and this is such as loss to the community if he throws it all away on whatever he is prioritizing instead of his talent and what used to be a huge clientele.
