Extremely poor customer service from some of the employees (not all), it seems like some lack interpersonal and people skills. Extremely bad at getting back to customers about their questions and working with this store is just beyond frustrating. definitely don’t go here

All the employees were amazing from the Doctor to all the other employees they were professional but so friendly and transparent like I could tell that everyone was being themselves and just very good people. My glasses came back fast not even a full 2 weeks and they were fitted to my face. I am very happy this is my permanent Pearl Vision

One of the most unprofessional places I have ever visited. Young woman named Rosa was listening to my phone conversation and felt it appropriate to chastise me from across the room. When I make an appointment and ask if my insurance is accepted, and am told Yes, then when I come in Im told it isnt accepted and that it was my job to call my insurance and verify. Which I would have gladly done had I not been Assured it was accepted after providing full information days in advance. They could definitely benefit from some customer service training. The rest of the staff was amazing.

Two years ago I had great service this year they order me bifocals when I didn’t order bifocals and when I asked why they would do that without even fitting me for them they didn’t even make sure the glasses fit me correctly I was told I was being rude I’m sorry but if complaining about the service and asking why the mistake happened is being rude And then I think this place has issues And incompetent employees I’ll take my business elsewhere next time

I just spoke with a young lady who was too busy or too impatient to hear out my name change issue, nor change my maiden to married name as requested. I was hung up on. She was very snippy if the conversation didnt go as exactly as she was trained / scripted. Im not sure I want to go in to this location now for my appt. despite it being the nearest.

If i could, I wouldnt even give this place any stars. Worst place ever! I went in a total of 3 times and the service was someehat decent until the very last time I went in. I stood at the front for a good 10-15 mins without anyone greeting me. When I finally got someone to help me, I told them they needed to fix my lens. I bought anti reflection with my lens. It started wearing off after 4-5 months. I went in to get them to fix them but they said I have to pay half price because warranty wore off already. I didnt know I only had 2 months warranty (who needs warranty for only 2 months?! Im not that careless to break them in 2 months!). But it still seem unfair that I had to pay when I didnt do anything to cause the coating to come off, they did a bad job with the coating which is why I they wore off in a couple of months when I barely wore them! I didnt have them fix it because they insist I pay half price. I just left upset and they didnt seem to care. Never going back and I hope you dont go either.

Terrible job on working with appointments. Arrived 15 minutes late had to reschedule a week out. Only makes my appointments in the late pm. Have to wait late into the afternoon on monday the 18th just for my eye exam. Pearle vision in roseville could do so much better. Didnt even allow me to get my information on like insurance ect. I had to make a very long trip to this place I hope this doesnt happen again.

I came in with a prescription from another clinic so I could get glasses. My current doctor didnt accept my eye insurance. Pearle had a nice selection of glasses available and accepted my current insurance. The staff was very helpful too. They went into detail about what type of lenses I would need for computer work without being too pushy for sales. I wasnt ready to buy that day but will definitely be coming back when I am.

They are terrible at responding back to you when you have questions or need to confirm something. Seems like none of them are ever on the same page about customer information which makes it frustrating when you have to repeat yourself all the time.

I had been struggling with my new progressive lens for a week. I had purchased my glasses at a different store, but this is the eye place closest to my work. I stopped in on my lunch break and asked for an adjustment. I could not believe I left with the same glasses I walked in with. The manager took the time to make small changes and checked with me along the way to see if my reading was getting better as she did her little tweaks. I will definitely be back.

Friendly staff, optometrist is great - not as cool as a chiropractor but que sera sera. Glasses came in very quick like 3 days, lenses and frames are of superior quality and very enjoyable switches from Costco optical and am happy with that switch.

Easy to schedule with and get in quickly, but disappointing customer service. I require annual exam notes to be submitted to the surgeon who performed my Lasik - it took 5 requests for this to happen, and ultimately I had to have the information sent to me, and insisted on waiting on hold while they did it so I could confirm receipt. I will be finding an alternative optometrist for my annual exams.

We had the best experience, all the staff was friendly & helpful. Even the other customers were interacting with one another! My husbands eye check & picking out frames only took 45mins..I will definitely be recommending this place to everyone I know☺️

I only have one issue with this location. One of the ladies who took my call was unwilling to listen to me. I was explaining to her that I needed to see the doctor when I came in to try on my trial pair of contacts and make sure they fit (they had to be ordered because they werent in stock at the contact fitting) before I receive the boxes of contacts and she kept saying I can come pick up the boxes... I rephrased how I worded it multiple times... nope, still didnt listen. Then, I asked when the doctor I saw would be in. She said tomorrow and told me I could pick up my contacts today.... So I said Id call tomorrow when I could talk to someone who would actually listen to me.Other than that, Ive had a great experience with them. I had an exam with a woman and ordered glasses. Both are great (: . I went back for a contact fitting and to order a 2nd pair of glasses and the male doctor I saw was even better. He knows what hes doing and is right to the point. The other lady on staff was great as well, super friendly, caring and respectful. They helped me utilize my insurance benefits, all while providing superb customer service. Will come back :)

12/02/2018In August and September of 2018, I went to Pearl Vision making a purchase of eyeglasses in September 2018.I am thanking Pearl vision for having a knowledgeable, respectful and professional employee at its store in Roseville, Minnesota. Jennifer is the representative that I appreciated working with, she educated me on the difference in progressive vision lenses and bi-focal lenses. this helped me select the right style and lenses that suited my vision comfort. Thank you, Jennifer, for taking the time to show me the distinct difference in getting my eyeglasses at Pearl vision as opposed to any other eyeglass store.

The staff along with the Lady manager are very rude to the customers. We wasted lot of money for purchase of glasses which is of low quality. I was so frustrated trying my best to make the team understand but it was of no use as people aren’t cooperative. Hence I had to purchase another pair of eye glasses forms lens cart. This is the worst place in Roseville. I suggest people don’t buy any glasses from this store. Many people complain about there quality. Prices are high with low quality. A store manager should be a person who could help customers patiently and not try to send them off the store as quickly as possible.this is the worst place I ever seen especially manger.

I must agree that the older guy has attitude problems. In my case, I was due a refund for glasses that they were unable to make. That old crabby guy processed the refund, but the amount he refunded did not include the tax I paid. When I pointed that out, and he argued that he refunded what I was due. He simply refused to acknowledge that my tax should be refunded as well. We argued for several minutes until a manager came over and told the jerk to give me the whole refund. Earlier, when working with him, I had similar experiences as those mentioned in other reviews. Why do they allow that guy to keep his job? On another note, it actually took them 14 tries to provide me with glasses that I could see out of. I went back 14 times! It was a very time consuming and frustrating process and while I do give Mona credit for working with me to get it right - it was the worst possible experience. Im actually avoiding getting new glasses because of this experience.

I had difficulty with my glasses and changed my mind about frames. Clayton took the time and was very precise about getting my changes corrected. He assured me it was fine that I made changes and ensured the measurements and prescription were correct.I appreciate their willingness to fix what was not quite right - they made sure I went away happy.My glasses work and fit perfectly now. Brian was most helpful and thorough, Ive seen bad reviews here, but was pleasantly surprised by the caring, patient, and helpful attitude, of not just Brian, but everyone else. I did not feel pressured into upgrading to more expensive frames, and Brian was very diligent in making sure I got all the insurance benefits I was supposed to, and that I knew exactly what I was paying for. Excellent customer service. Not at all like the negative reviews here would have you believe.

I am unable to put less than one star, so Ive giving them 1 star, and thats just because I have to. I agree with everyone else, the service is horrible... They dont great you when you come in and they look at you like, what the heck are you doing standing there? Ive gone in 3 times in the past month and every single time, its the same. They just stare at me and its this awkward struggle to get where I need to be.The older man with glasses and grey hair is not a very happy camper, and the other workers just joke around with each other or dont say anything at all.To make matters worse, I paid $49 for a contact lens fitting... I left today with a completely new brand of contacts--a different brand in each eye--I called back to let the doctor know that one side was extremely uncomfortable and asked her to order the one I had been wearing in my left eye (the more comfortable one) and she said this, Well, you cant tell how a contact feels in 5 minutes. Wear it for a full day and then well see,Um, doc... yes. I can feel it; its my eye and I know when something is uncomfortable because Im getting a migraine and my eyeball physically hurts. She then states just take that one out and wait to try the ones we are ordering,... I go, Arent those the same brand that Im wearing now? She says, Yes, but they shouldnt feel that way. There must be something wrong with the ones you have.She gave me 5 trial pairs... I went through three to make sure something wasnt wrong with just my eye. Nope. The contacts just suck and she wasnt very enlightening on trying to find a good brand for my eyes and their condition.I am now looking for a new eye doctor and will not return here. I wasted $49 as well as $29 for a tool that the doctor didnt even use in determining my prescription. Unless youre in severe pain, you do not need the $29 picture. Opt out.Please, please, please go somewhere else. Lets show this place and these people that customer service is a big part of business and that people go to an eye doctor so that they can see--not to throw money away.**Update**I figured that since I paid for the contact fitting, I might as well go back and get fitted instead of throwing the money away. Ive gone back 2 more times and both female doctors just rush through the fitting and give me whatever they think is best. They seem uninterested in me and the condition or needs of my eyes. I really do want to wear contacts and am fighting with myself about whether or not to go back--I want to be fitted for contacts, but it has proven to be a waste of time. On a lighter note, there is one good doctor--I dont know his name, but he is the older male doctor and he does listen and prescribe according to the condition/needs of eyes. They have earned their one star.

The staff is totally incompetent it took a month to get correct contact lenses ordered which involved wasted trips to the location after they ordered the wrong lenses. I was so frustrated I tried to purchase eye glasses at Target Optical but was foiled by Pearle’s incompetence again because they had put the wrong name on the prescription. Which took another trip to the store. Where when getting the name problem corrected they gave me the wrong prescription. My advice is to go somewhere else this place is a disaster, I wish I did.

The service was terrible!!! Got a call saying my lenses came in scratched. A week goes by and I here nothing, I give them a call and within two hours I get a call stating my glasses are in. While picking them up I notice a warranty, it was explained to me I to purchase it at the time of purchase. I explained to the sales person no one ever offered it to me. She responded you have one anyway. I still today dont know what kind of warranty I have. Be careful of this Pearl Vision

Dr Thomas Meyer has been taking good care of me for many years and is always patient with my exams as Im really analytical. Other eye doctors feel rushed to get me in and out and didnt feel as confident in the exam. Thanks again keep up the good work.

I had an eye appointment with Dr. Krein and had a great time. She was very good in answering all my questions and it was a fun experience. Jennifer helped me at the appt. checkout and gave me some good advice about my current sun glasses, and the pair Im waiting for on order. I do wish their selection was a little be larger, but I thought the service was great. I have also learned that there are different prices at different Pearles and Ill definitely go back to this one.

The only way I can order contacts is to call in or stop into the store. Stopping into the store is least convenient. Calling is better but payment is required over the phone which Im not comfortable with. So every time I need to place an order, I have to either risk my personal information being stolen or drive out of my way to physically be at the store to order contacts?! Doesnt accommodate the customer at all. One would assume that in 2017 there would be a secure online payment option. The second star is only because Ive had a decent experience with the actual eye doctor, but the business itself is poor. 1.800-CONTACTS just got my business. Sorry (not sorry) Pearl Vision.

I seen the other reviews and wanted to say that I had an extremely positive experience here. The eye doctor told that he could only correct my vision to 20/40 so he recommended I see a specialist as this was something that I had not experienced previously. So, I did take his advice and I am glad I did. It saved my vision. I had an epi membrane tear near my retina that already had scar tissue forming on it. If let undetected, I would have lost my sight in that eye. I had eye surgery shortly after and corrected the problem in that eye...the specialist noticed I have it in my other eye too, so we are closely monitoring that eye as it will eventually need surgery as well. I am so grateful to the eye doctor at Pearl. I hope other people that have had a positive experience here will write a review. Yes, we need to know about the negative experiences too, but take the time to write a positive one if you have had one.

Doctor was rude and so was the staff!! and would not work with me for contacts and when i was trying new brands he seemed irritated, I will not be coming back after i spent $400 on new glasses and $150 on contacts- pearl vision itself might lose me as a customer in its entirety.

Terrible service. The moment I walked into the office I already felt unwelcome and a bad vibe. I felt rushed by the employees. Lots of attitude. It took almost 3 weeks for my glasses. They claim they ll call you but they dont. The only reason why I came to this location is because its close to my studio.

Maybe Brian was having a bad day. I came in for my contacts check up and was greeted by a older gray haired gentleman. He was busy on his desk cleaning glasses that was on display. I have called earlier and have spoken to a nice woman named Julie. When I told him I was coming in for a contact lens fitting. He blurted out, wow..you have not been here in a while. Since you did not come sooner we will charge you a $60.00 fee for inconvenience. I started to laugh..seriously I did. My prescription was not invalid so because I did not come in quicker there is a fee? when I did not bulge he went in and spoke to the doctor. He came out and ignored me and the doctor called me in, of course he was nice. He explained that there was a 90 day window to check your eyes. So I paid it. When I was about to order contact lenses...I stated I wanted to try color again. well you cant do that because of your astigmatism I wanted to laugh!!! Obviously he did not read my file, Toric colorblends is what I can wear. When I said that to him, he stumbled his words...oh well okay..I mean I did not know about that his attitude just turned me off from ordering. I decided to order my contacts with someone else. I would come again because Julie and Dr. Meyer was nice. But Brian needed a hug..or chocolate..he was just too mean for me! I was nice and not argumentative, I am a Christian woman... I just hope this review helps.

Pearl Vision will not give you your PD number. They will take this measurement and will hold it hostage to bogart buisness. Do not give them the ability to either charge insurance for this info and do not give them your money to take it from you. Has anyone contacted better buisness bureau?

We had a very bad experience with the optician who tried to up-sell lenses wrongly claiming that they were high definition - like TVs that would help see distances better, when in reality, according to the doctor in the backroom that I just spoke with, they only helped correct lower peripheral distortion inherent in bi-focals. The human retina has only so many rods & cones - so obviously, what the optician was saying was incorrect. I know that this may be isolated to the Roseville, MN store, but I will never - ever shop at Pearle Vision again for risk of it being a corporate cultural thing about squeezing as much out of the customer as possible.12-19-14 Update: I went in to get my glasses and they were all messed up - could only see clearly out of the center of the glasses - even on the top part for distances. Totally unacceptable. The doctor retested my eyes to confirm it wasnt anything he did wrong - turned out to be bad lenses. They are being remade.1-24-15 update: My wife and I had a very bad experience trying to get the lenses done properly (over the course of 2 months). The store kept giving bi-focal lenses (3 times) that had tunnel vision even for the distance viewing. This made it hazardous for driving. But, they said that my eyes would adjust. (yea right). We just gave up & asked for straight lenses and asked for the difference back, but they said theyd just work with us on that and would only give a partial refund of the difference. Getting the clear clue that they werent acting in good-faith, we asked for our prescription & all of our money back and went to a different place altogether. We gave them many chances to work out the problems but they ended up just being rude about it in the end. This is the worst experience I have ever had with any eye wear store. Too bad.

It took about a month and a half to get my glasses, the first pair I received was incorrect though I only realized it when I got home. I came in a day or two later to let them know, and it was a struggle to get them to reorder the correct ones. Jump to 3 weeks later and they call me again to let me know my glasses are in. After a good ten minutes of running around looking through the disorganized store for my frames they were found. And they were the wrong frames again. So I said Screw it. I need to see and Ill buy another pair with cash somewhere else. And I took them. They did give me the first incorrect frames (womens) as a gift however.

I will never visit this location again if the older white associate is still there or if the managment doesnt change. We moved to the citites and were referred to Pearle Vision by family members since we were looking to establish relationship with a Vision Clinic. We tried booking an appointment closer to home but since they were all booked, the Roosedale location was the only location that had opening. So I took my husband their to get an examination and get new prescription, the associate (Brenda) that assisted us was friendly. We thought it was a good experience giving the fact that we had just moved to the citites. We decided to make an appointment for myself for the following week and to pick up my husbands prescription. The following week when we came back for my appointment, Brenda was with another customer. We were told to take a seat by Brian (I believe thats the older associates name ). I can see that they all were busy, so my husband and i took a seat by the farther table in the back. Brain then came over to us and handed some forms for me to fill out, after filling out the forms I had asked Brian about what my Vision Ins covers. He told me he doesnt know in a very impatient and unfriendly tone. He then told me to wait and told me that he was busy. He then walked away. After a couple minutes he came back over to my husband and I, and took my forms. While he was over by us, he was told by another associate that his wife was on the line. He then rudely walked away to pick up the phone. After talking to his wife and hangs up on her, he walked back over to my husband and I. I then ask him about what coverage is available with my insurance. ..he rudely said, I Dont Know! and threw the pen down in front of me while standing up. At that point, I did not feel safe nor trust him with my information. I felt threaten by his action. So my husband asked for his prescription, I gathered up my personal information along with the forms and left.I can see that everyone is busy and I was fine with waiting because I drove 45 mins and had to leave work early just to make my appointment. I was very disappointed by the service I received. After reading all the reviews and how much everyone talk about Brian, I realized that management does not try to improve their customer service. Will never visit this location again.

By far the worst experience ever. I stopped in tonight at 7:30 to purchase frames and lenses for my daughter and I, we were greated with a sigh of disgust from the lone, older, grey haired opi-tech.He asked what we needed, I told him that we wanted to order glasses after I handed him our Rx. Automatically he asked if we were on medical assistance, mncare, public assistance. He then stated that we could only choose off a little wall of welfare frames. Now mind you we have private insurance and we have a maximum benefit for the purchase of any frames and lenses we so desire. I knew this, but he insisted that we could only choose welfare frames! As Native American, Im used to being generalized but for my young daughters to experience it as well is what is reprehensible. I told him I would be taking my business elsewhere after his lame excuse of saying all insurance was not accepted as his store. My familys insurance is accepted at pearle vision but he basically said he didnt have time to look. This is even after I showed him my husbands receipt for his Ray Ban glasses from Pearle Vision, our family has the same exact insurance number.

I had the worst experience Ive been going there for 2 years now and i never had any problem untill these last 2 months. The older gray hair guy helped me out first time i went to get glasses for my daughters he was very rude and didnt even look at me in the eye when he would talk. I thought he might be having bad day so i let it pass. Next time i went to pick up the glasses he was still very rude and i stayed quiet idont like to complain to people. Well i just went in on 10/7/15 due to my daughters glasses breaking he was still rude he asked for insurance card told him i didnt have it with me i can give him the birthday. He looked very mad and impatient and then he went to look for the glasses for my daughter and he says they will be ready in a week he didnt even look at me he was talking to the floor. Then i asked if he could check when im due for a vision check up he asks when do you want to schedule i told him i need to know when i had my last vision check he was then more rude and started to whisper i asked 3 times then he got up like if he was going to hit me or kick me out. From then i didnt like how he trwated me this guy is very rude and needs to be fired i work at a dental office and that kind of behave is not tolerated. That is very bad service and makes the place look very bad this man needs to get fired. He is very racist that should not be tolerated even if the patient is from a different race every should be treated equally.

The worst customer service ever! I paid for my glasses in full on 2/6/16 promised Ill have them in a week! called a few days ago to check the status of my order 2/17/16. Then told one of my lenses was defective.... Then promised my glasses will be ready Friday 2/19/16.. Called Friday 2/19/16 then told again theyll be ready Monday 2/22/16... What a run around and unapologetic they were when it was their fault!! Will never go to any Pearle vision again!!!!!!!!!!

We will not be back. There are several reasons why. We will also be notifying our insurance carrier to search for other options. Pearle Vision in Roseville was not a good experience. We only chose this location for insurance purposes.
