My wife and I were needing a pair of new glasses. We were told that this Optical at Target on Fairway Dr. in Roseville would take my insurance. Oh man, they were right and the service we got from Mathew was outstanding! He was very professional, very knowledgeable and very helpful. Now, we can’t wait to wear our new glasses.We highly recommend this place and please make sure you ask for Mathew. You won’t regret it.

I was greeted by the friendly sales people on arrival. The optometrist at the target optical was great! He was super friendly and patient with the kids and was happy to explain anything they had questions on. Joseph, the sales person, was also very pleasant and helped with the insurance. He was not pushy and very considerate of cost. I would definitely return and recommend.

If I could rate them higher than five stars I would. Joseph at the front treated my fiancé and me like family. He used my preferred pronouns and was just so genuine and kind. Dr. Huang thoroughly described my prescription and when to wear my new glasses. He was extremely professional and helpful. The frames I originally picked were out of my price range, but Joseph redirected me to frames more in my price range. I would recommend this Target Optical to anyone! I’ve never been treated so kindly anywhere! Thank you Joseph and Dr. Huang.

Joseph was so sweet and helpful! I came in to drop off my new prescription and order contacts as well as update my insurance. He explained to me my options as far getting both glasses and contacts and the coverage through my insurance, I’ll definitely be coming back! He also straightened out my current glasses, got everything done for me today, since I drove an hour to visit their location!

Worst Experience Ever! Left In Tears bc of Rude Optical Mgr with no Customer Service!! I am appalled on how I was mistreated at Target Optical and will NEVER recommend this location to any family or friends because of the Negative Experience I have had with Andrew, the store manager and his team. Warning — kind of a long read but I have to let you know, as my fellow customer brothers/sisters!! I’ve been a loyal customer for 3 years mainly bc of the convenience (hello it’s Target!!). Long story - not so short, I purchased reading frames/lenses and they didn’t work out so my plan was to exchange them for something more comfortable. I was well within the return policy so that wasn’t an issue. Matthew assisted me (name printed on my receipt) with my exchange and towards the end of my visit, the energy I sensed from Matthew felt negative. His demeanor made me feel like my questions were not important but more so an inconvenience. Like most people, it’s very difficult to choose something so permanent like prescription frames or sunnies especially if it’s a long term investment. Matthew appeared to not have any interest in reviewing lense colors options and literally pointed at the wall display and said look there are color options on that wall (my teenager was also present and witness our exchange). Matthew even commented on why I exchanged reading glasses for sunnies and said “I thought you needed these for driving”. Who does that? As if I’m not going to be using my sunnies to drive? But ok sir. I ultimately opted for a Rayban tortoise brown w gold with a Tint Brown Gradient Lense. I received a text notification at 7:28PM on 4/12 that my sunglasses were ready for pick up so I rushed to get there before closing at 8PM. I arrived and a woman associate assisted me, unable to recall her name. While inspecting my sunglasses I immediately pointed out one issue, that the color of the lenses on the pair I received did not match the color of the lenses on the sample glasses that is displayed in store. The woman associate agreed 100%, that the lenses did not match and noted that the frame color looked solid brown rather than a Gradient (dark to light). Since it was close to closing the woman associate assured me that she would process a new order to fix the issue, so I trusted her word and I gave her the benefit of doubt that she would do as she said. She Lied. The next day, Andrew, the “store manager” calls only to inform me that he spoke to the woman associate and that my reorder was not processed bc he believes that the initial order was correct. Andrew himself confirmed over the phone that he did not view or inspect my prescription sunglasses so essentially he has ZERO knowledge on what I actually received. It was never communicated to me that the actual lenses would be anything different than what was displayed on their sample frames because remember Matthew? Had I known any of this information beforehand, I would have had a completely different set of expectations. I expressed to Andrew that all I wanted was for the issue to be fixed to match the sample frames that I chose inside of the store, that is all. In addition to attempting to rush me off of the phone, Andrew became extremely combative and said that I would need to drive down to the store and show him my sunglasses. I declined to do that bc the error on their end AND not to mention the woman associate agreed that my pair did not match just the night before. Andrews frustration was out of control and in turn made me very upset bc ofc who wants to be treated that way? No one. It’s very sickening to see Andrews attempt to turn the situation back on me as if I was at fault. My expectations were reasonable, I requested the same exact frames and the same exact lenses as displayed inside of their store and both their Product and People fell extremely short. Andrews behavior is not only unprofessional but his actions do not appear to be in line with the core values of Target.

I’ve visited this location twice and both experiences have been perfect. Dr. Slutsky is fantastic and the staff is always friendly, knowledgeable and there to help should I need it!
