I wish that I could say that I have windows to actually rate, but unfortunately, Capital Remodeling has failed to follow thru with an actual date for installation. After meeting with their sales rep, we quickly signed a contract to have our front windows replaced. We opted to go with the high-end so that we could be sure to have the best. This was on April 5, 2021.Recently we were called by one of the supervisors who would only provide his first name. He countered every aspect of the process that we brought to his attention. He truly messed up when he said that he had spoken to us several times. Prior to that call, we had only spoken to him once, which means that other customers are complaining and hes being bombarded with staying in line with his lies.My husband, who now has cognitive impairments due to a severe stroke, first spoke with him. When I realized what was happening, I took over the call. This guy was verbally and accusatorily all over my husband, and he did this although he was aware of his condition.Now that I was on the call, he tried to talk over and berate me throughout the conversation. He went so far as to tell me what was and was not said during our meeting with the sales rep. I told him that unless he had secretly joined the meeting in my dining room, he had nothing to say about items discussed that day.After he realized that I was not going to idly sit by and allow him to rant and rave, he went from his outrage level of 10 to 7. Perhaps he felt that as a man he had the upper hand and would have more to say than a woman. I proved him and his theory wrong with actual facts and logic.Bottom line, as I explained to him, we want our windows installed as promised. He blamed the delays on us, but I have the emails that show there were huge delays from the sales rep complete with apologies, delays for the professional measurements to be taken, and unanswered questions regarding an addendum.Since we are cash-paying customers, I explained that the cashiers check would expire at the end of September and that would incur another cost to reissue. He scoffed at the $15 fee, but I informed him that it had absolutely nothing to do with the cost; it was the principle.I will NEVER do business with this company again nor would I ever consider recommending them. Unfortunately, we are locked into this contract and must wait.

This is a great company to work with. Their residential windows are both manufactured by them and installed by them. Their work crew was conscientious, knowledgeable and courteous. They spent extra time explaining the entire process from start to finish and how to operate and maintain the windows. Once the windows were installed, a company rep called to make sure we were satisfied with the product and the installation. Overall, they did a great job and the look of our home was greatly enhanced!

I am engaged. I own my own home. My fiancé doesn’t even live here in the states, we have signed prenup. And they still want her to be here to give me a quote. Is no wahy she can be here she lives in another country. And they didn’t want to give me a quote and I was going ro pay in cash not financing. Why would they need her here.

Set up an appointment but the company insisted on having every adult living in the home to sit for the entire meeting, a pressure tactic to close the deal immediately. We cancelled. Dont like high pressure selling. A legitimate and fair offer quote from the company should be able to withstand a little delay and discussion among the people living at the home.

Tried to schedule an appointment for window replacement. They insisted that my wife would be present for the appointment. I tried to explain several times that would not be necessary since she is not interested in being present for this appointment, but they insisted because its their policy...In that case my policy is to look for someone else.

I purchased about 15 new windows in my current home with Capital Remodeling about a month ago and I was very pleased with the results. The installation only took one day and they made sure the house wasnt a mess before they left. There was a couple of issues I had after the installation. One of the guys that installed the windows used the outside power outlet for one their machines and it blew sparks, which turned off the lights in the rear of my home since they were on the same circuit. I wouldve been okay if they wouldve informed me of the incident, but no one told me that it occurred. It wasnt until the next day I realized the outlet was burnt to a black color and I had to call and find out thats what happened. I had to hire an electrician immediately to take care of the fire hazard. Also, one of the screens they installed had a tear in it. I called to inform them and they stated they would send someone out to my house to replace/fix it. However, I had to follow up again because no one ever came out to take care of it.

From the salesman Rick, that did the presentation, to the guys that did the install, this company was amazing. The process was seamless and everyone is so nice and helpful. The attention to detail is unmatched. My windows are awesome. Everything Rick said about them is 100% accurate. Great product, great people.

On September 24, 2020 my windows were scheduled to be installed, the workmans/ installers were on time. On my door its state be so kind and take your shoes off, wear mask and clean your hands both young men honor and respected my home without me asking or saying anything about sign. I really appreciated both of them for respecting my home. They were on time and work until work was completed, they clean up and I was proud to have them in my home and my windows make me feels so much better during this time of pandemic. I will be calling Capital remodeling for additional service.

Originally they set up a meeting and ask that you have your spouse there as well. I know when that is asked, what is about to happen (Timeshare pinch). Well the salesman came by and he was rather helpful actually and of course when he gave me a quote he gave me three quotes, one for that day with the biggest discount, 1 quote for 2 days and one open quote that is like double. It leaves you with not much of an option. I chose to have some of my windows done first to shop around and make sure they had the best turnaround. The house I was quoting was an house that was basically a complete rehab and needed about 50 windows replaced. Due to Covid the wait time is very long which is understandable. My 8-10 week mark was roughly about December which I knew wouldnt happen. However, because I had so much work done I called to check to see what was the status on the windows at the 8 week mark but couldnt get an answer from the Sales rep. I called the company and got transferred to other people and eventually was told I can only talk to 1 sales rep located nearby. No one else could answer my questions which i think is weird. I call the Sales Rep Ryan several times and never got a call back. In the company notes they said he had tried to reach me so I gave the my business line and said they would tell him its urgent. I still never got a call. I never had a voicemail, email or neither phone rang. So instead I called every day literally for about 2-3 weeks and kept getting told someone will call name Ryan and he never called. I gave it the benefit of the doubt cause of the holidays. However, I called again yesterday and left another message and he finally called me back and basically told me he had different numbers for me although I called him personally and left my phone number on his voicemail several days. He never once took ownership, nor apologized just basically told me someone should call me in another 2 weeks. I end up going with another company and that company came in at half the quote (1 quote), and had the windows installed within 8 weeks. Not to mention I got several follow up calls on the status. I have several houses but will never use or suggest Capital Remodeling again. Shop around before you bite the bait.Looking back I also see that the company never ever replied to the reviews although most of the bad post are about poor customer service

Got 4 windows for our sunroom. The windows look great and a very easy to clean. Since they make custom windows it takes them few weeks to make one. Once that’s done the installation is done within couple hours. They are a bit pricey but you get what you paid for.

A gentleman by the name of Rick Controy came to our home, gave us an excellent preview of what we could do with the windows needing replacement and gave us a quote.My husband is a skeptic, so he wanted to have reviews from other Capital Remodeling customers. Rick gave us names and phone numbers of people we could contact and we did. They said they were all very satisfied with the windows and the service. So...now we have some terrific looking and easy to clean windows!! The workmen who came did an excellent job of installing and cleaning up when they finished. We recommend Capital Remodeling.

Any questions I had were explained to me in detail. Now that it is Spring, I am enjoying all the functionality of my windows. I can use the mid-open locking feature to feel safe that no one can climb through an open window, and utilize the open at the top feature to let hot air out (no a/c until June!). The materials seem to be of a great quality, and thanks to double panes, I cant hear my neighbors loud car music when he gets home. I also like the fact that I have a lifetime transferable warranty. This will come in handy if I choose to sell.

Had a 12 window job planned for today and unfortunately it is raining. I got a call from the installer last night to remind me to take all window blinds, curtains, and make sure there is 3 feet of clearance for the install. I get a call at 8:30 on the day of the install when the installer is supposed to be here already telling me they would not be installing due to weather. The next available date for install is 3/28....... i questioned the representative that called me Haley i believe was her name why since i have all of my items moved am i not getting the next non rainy day and her response was thats not how this works. I then explained that those people may not have disrupted their entire home by moving furniture and taking down all window treatments in the house and would be more understanding than a customer whom has completed it all. She again repeated that is not how this works and stated she has me scheduled for the 28th.......... my brother in law was going to use capital for the remodel of their rental house and their own house based on my experience. Guess who will not be recommending capital remodeling to anyone? Please beware of the way they treat their customers at the time of install. Oh and by the way you are stuck doing whatever it is they do once you make the purchase since the windows are made when ordered.

I was initially skeptical with some of the negative reviews. The salesperson came out and offered the best deal we had received in gathering quotes. Salesperson wasnt pushy at all. We paid in full. In a few days we were contacted to notify us when was the best time to come measure all of the windows. We set a date and the person measuring the windows was on time and was in and out. A few days later we received a call scheduling when the windows would be installed. The installers came on the scheduled date, did quick work, was very informative about the windows when I asked questions and cleaned up. A few days after the installation I was called by the company asking me did I have any questions or concerns. I was extremely pleased with the whole process and recommend this company in a heart beat.

Capital remodeling helped us with replacing our windows. The sales man was professional, respectful of our time, and gave us no pressure whatsoever. The prices he gave us, he stated, are good for one year so I gave us lots of time and peace of mind to decide. The installation was smooth and the installers did an excellent job of cleaning up after themselves. My only complaint was with the financing company. However, it is a third party and is not Capital Remodeling themselves.

In my case, Capital Remodeling does stand by their word/agreement. I had a sales rep come to my home for hours to do the whole spill about their windows. We signed an agreement on a certain number of windows for a certain price. The plan was to start on other windows throughout the home in phases later in 2020. Weeks later I get a call from the rep saying they will need almost $1000 more to do the work but they could meet me half way. Since we decided to go the financing route, this was after they pulled my credit with a hard inquiry (which I had been approved) and my score decreased. If you could not honor the agreement that was signed, why pull my credit?I finally spoke with the GM of the city where I live after several attempts and so called messages being passed to him. The numbers he gave were different than the numbers the rep gave about meeting me half way. The GM claimed they need the full amount that was close to $1000 more because the company needs to break even or the job would not be done. So, I guess the reps are driving around, burning gas, working for free and not making commission if that is the case. This experience with Capital Remodeling has been a major waste of time, an inconvenience and unnecessary ding on my credit. Bad business practice not to stand by your word/signed agreement.

We had 7 windows replaced last year and 10 windows replaced this year. We especially like the ClearView screening and the double-locks, as well as the quality thermal insulation features. Service was excellent and we would recommend this company highly.

I had 11 windows installed. The windows were installed quickly, properly, and the cleanup was done. I like the way they open and close. The windows that were replaced were in horrible shape and it would take all of my strength to open them. I can open the new windows with a couple of fingers. The difference is appreciated.

I called and made the mistake of telling the representative that I was upgrading my house to put it on the market and I needed to replace all my windows. Apparently it’s company policy to not replace windows if you are planning on selling the house. When I asked why (because that obviously made no sense) she said they only use high quality windows and the company does not replace windows if the house is going to be sold. Again, that made no sense but it was the only answer she would give over and over like a robot. So what they are telling me is that I can’t give future owners of this house high quality windows? The conversation was beyond frustrating. If you get an ad in the mail about this company, don’t call. It’s bogus!

Thought long and hard about leaving this review as I know others will read it to help in their selection process but if I can help someone else not waste their time or money with this shoddy company then it was worth writing it. I dont take leaving reviews lightly as I know they can make or break a company but when you experience service this bad from such a company you have an obligation as a consumer to warn others.It started with a flyer in our mail, with a ridiculously too good to be true offer but we still bit on it despite all their negative reviews we read on them. The sales man came to our house was Ryan and I must say he was an extremely good salesman. He sold us on the price, quality of the windows their awesome work and most importantly on their reputation of being a great company to do business with.Well once the paperwork work was signed that was the last we heard from the sales guy Ryan. Someone was supposed to come back again within 10 days for a second measurement of the windows to send of to production. Over 21 days goes by and nothing from Ryan or anyone else. I left several messages on Ryans voicemail and text him as well with no response from him. I finally decided to call the office and after several attempts and speaking with different call representatives I was transferred to finance department where i was explained that for some reason our financing didnt go through and the account was closed 15 days earlier. I explained that I had not received a single notification of this from anyone and that Ive been trying to get a hold of Ryan to get an update. I informed her that had I known about the finance not going through, I would of paid for the job with a credit card to keep the project on pace.Heres where it really goes from bad to worse. The very next day guess who I get a called from? The only and only Mr. Ryan letting me know that he heard that Im wanting to continue the project and will be paying cash or with a credit card. I asked him why he hadnt return any of my calls, texts or emails or followed up with us like he said he would. He indicated that he had not received any of them. How convenience right? Later in the conversation he indicated that he is extremely busy and reference some large amount of sales he does a week which keep him so busy that he cant get back to folks sometimes. Then he tried giving me some other BS stories about company policies of why he couldnt get back to me.Throughout our whole conversation he never once apologized for not getting back to me after a few days like he promised he was going to do and tried to give every excuse why he didnt. But funny once he knew I was willing to pay for the project in cash or credit card he knew to follow up with me.My advise to anyone considering this company, read the reviews really close... I think they tell you the story of what kind of company youll be letting in your home and trusting with your windows.Best of Luck.

I purchased 28 windows from Capital Remodeling. I recently inquired to have one of my windows replaced with a larger window and the refused to help me saying that they would not do just one window after they have already replaced EVERY window in my house. I have tried calling my local office, the corporate office several times and was told the manager would get back to me quickly. Its been weeks of me calling and each time the person on the phone tells me they cant do it and I ask for a manager only to be told I would be given a call back. After spending this much money with a company I would think they would bend over backwards to help, especially when I want to spend more money with them. Do not use this company.....horrible aftercare service.

I never got a call back after leaving voice messages. I wonder how will the triple life time warranty work if you cannot reach them when needed. I will NOT recommend this company to anyone.

Customer service is poor and the sales pitch is the only thing promising abkut this company and their product... the only time this company shows interest is before you pay them.. once you pay them the service is over... I paid a decent amount down and didnt get any phone call or anything until i reached out to them multiple times just to get them to come measure my windows.. so that a month and half after I paid my money.... then 3 months after that with no phone call or any form of communication.. then out the blue a call to schedule for the following week... ok cool about time i hear from someone.... fast forward to the install date.. Im out of town but have someone at the house so they can install the windows all appears good... I come home to inspect everything and they left trash and didnt even seal the windows all the way can feel air coming throw a few windows, trash was left from the windows and put aluminum covers over the wood framing of the windows..Overall do your own research and compare window companies. For what this company offers it is way over price and no customer service

It started with an ad on a mailer,” 15 windows for $1125”. Then the phone call, a salesman will contact you to set up an appointment. I should have known something was up then. The salesman, John, is very friendly and wants to sell us windows. Not for $1125, No that would be silly. Windows cost more than that. Can we say bait and switch? I stood my ground and wanted low cost windows. He was persistent. Next thing I know I am settling for over $500 per window agreeing to a no interest loan. I was concerned with the installation. I want to keep the nice 2x4 cedar trim. I was assured that only a small channel will be cut around each window and they would come right out. Only take 8 hours to do them all (15)the new windows will be installed in the opening and a aluminum cap would be installed between the window and the trim. These guys are true professionals and do this with ease. Don’t worry. A few weeks later they came by to measure the windows. We were called and the installation was set up. It had been a couple of months since the sale. On Saturday two men showed up at the door. A little late but it was ok. They started trying to remove the windows. From the beginning they were having a hard time. Instead of cutting a a small strip around them like I was told they trying to remove them from the inside. After a major struggle then they started to cut around them on the outside. This was still a struggle. I was concerned that it was going to take another day. I asked about all the damage that was happening to remove the windows and I was assured that everything will be put back as good as new but they didn’t have the paper work to tell them how they would be putting them back together. After noon help arrived. The supervisor changes the pace things are speeding up. Problem though, I now have several of my windows out and now they are removing the 2x4 trim that I was told would not be damaged. Windows were out and new windows are going in but now the 2x4 trim is being replaced with aluminum siding. All of the window trim is now aluminum siding 4” wide on my cedar home. I called my salesman to complain while this was going on. Left a message but no reply ( I never heard from him). My wife called the customer support line to be told since it was Saturday I would have to call back on Monday. I tried to call the general manager. It is getting dark and things are finally wrapping up. I was asked to sign off on the install but said no. The supervisor demonstrated how to work the windows and then left. The next day I got to see how everything looked. I still wasn’t happy with the trim. The area around the house was cleaned as well as it could be (since dark when they started to clean up). We are still finding pieces of aluminum from where the pieces that were cut to fit fell to the ground. Nails and screws are still being found inside and out. Starting Monday I continued to try the salesman and GM while my wife contacts customer service. I finally received a call from the GM. I expressed my dissatisfaction and was assured he would come out and see what we were concerned about. He didn’t have the courtesy of coming out to meet with us and seeing it for himself. After a couple of weeks I received a letter in the mail. I was informed that according to the installers, the way my windows were installed was the way that they were supposed to and that any changes to them would invalidate my warranty. He offered to come and install the aluminum siding on the associated trim to make everything look the same. I now owe the remainder of the cost of a cheap window install. I have enlisted the advice of a carpenter that assures me that the installation works but could be done without all the aluminum. A simple flashing between the window and the opening around the opening and under the siding and then the 2x4 put back into place would be the proper way to install them. Capital Remodeling is not a professional window installation company. They are an aluminum siding company that does other things. I should have done my research.

Absolutely the WORST remodeling company I’ve dealt with, and I’ve dealt with a lot! They came out the first time and refused to give me a quote because my wife was unavailable, even though she is not involved in this decision process. They called to reschedule and said “now your wife must be there for us to come out and give a quote”. I informed them that she was not involved in the process and to not call me back. Most pushy unprofessional people I’ve dealt with, avoid at all costs.

They failed to show up to the next 2 appointments to finish (I missed 2 days at work waiting for them) and they were actually late AGAIN to the last one. They were not late to collect the final payment off course, now that the ball was on their field. When I asked for a compensation this is what the manager said We dont offer any compensation for these missing days, I am sorry that was it

I recently had an estimate done to replace the windows for my residence. After getting the high pressure pitch, I signed a contract (to get him out of the house) and thought I was putting 1/3 down on my credit card. On the first business day afterwards, I sent my cancellation notice via certified mail to both the corporate address in Maryland and the local office in Roswell, GA. Today, I found out that they charged my credit card for the ENTIRE purchase after they received the cancellation notice! Phone calls to the corporate office were not answered. I have put in the dispute with my credit card company and will never consider this company for anything ever again.

Good experience. Would use them again.
