This was such an interesting store! They had everything I was looking for (Lana Del Rey and Taylor Swift)! I was able to get some vinyls! Non came out damaged or warped! While looking at other vinyls non of them seemed damaged too so Im guessing they inspect vinyls and only resell ones in good condition! Overall I loved going here! I havent had much experience with other vinyl/music stores but this seemed pretty good! It was also pretty clean!

I liked the vibe. While their Metal selection wasn’t as big as I’d hoped, I found 2 shirts and 9 CDs (very well priced). The guy with the long beard (I am terrible with names sorry) was friendly and engaging and seemed like a nice guy. Maybe people who had issues with him were the ones with the issues. And if you spend $20 you get $1 token for the next visit. Thank you for a great experience!

This place is a spectacular time capsule!! Awesome selection of vintage vinyls, cds and cassettes!! The owner is very knowledgeable and friendly about all things music and pop culture!! This is my son’s go to spot for music!! Stop in if your in town!! If you live here this should be your record shop!!

A good store to get some old CDs & cloths & some lil nick nacks for whatever for a fair price

I wandered in here because of good reviews and dang were they right. The fact that there was a copy of IDLES live at the Bataclan displayed right there for me to grab in the used section was just incredible luck. Definitely going to be my new go to record shop.

There’s a fella with a gray beard who seems to not have any interest in customer service. It’s annoying when you try to speak to an employee or proprietor of a shop and they ignore you. He seems to have a strange air of condescension and self-importance that seems ill-earned. Honestly, if this dude wasn’t in the store that day, this would be a 5 star review because the other employees are super great, and THEY (not the beard) were working very hard at pricing and organizing the records. The beard was just a sloth behind the counter.Bottom line: the other workers are really cool, but this dude with the beard really kills the vibe of the shop. It’s a strange thing when someone owns a store and wants nothing to do with its customers.

Wish I could give this place five stars but the this store has lost my business because if it’s lack of respect and communication of one employee with a long beard. I spent too much money at this record store to allow this long bearded man to be disrespectful and rude to me. Every time I asked him something he would be rude or condescending. Every other person on the staff have great communication and treat people with respect. This long bearded man could learn from the staff how to treat people and how to be kind to loyal customers. It’s a shame you lost a fan and a customer because this old long bearded man. He could be the owner but I could care less treat people with respect, especially your customers. Have some patience and let the rest of your staff do what you pay them for. Also a lot of records over priced and you can find cheaper online

Awesome store for all kinds of music in vinyl records or CDs. New and used records are here. They also have posters, tee shirts and some turntables for sale. Well worth a visit if your in the area and looking for some music to add to your collection.

One of the last cool, independent record shops in town. Bring in your lightly used albums - theyre fair on trades. Leave with a new (or new-to-you) album and a sticker to show off. Be prepared to take your time looking through the racks.

Store was like a throwback feeling to it. Check out entire store there vinyl selection is a must see from rock, country, rap, reggae. I was quite impressed with the selection I know ill be back to buy vinyl records. Decent prices 👌.

Good place to visit for music junkies

I love stopping in here every couple, few weeks and digging through their used vinyl selection. I always find a gem or two at a great price. Nice new selection as well, always spot at least a couple wants. Lotta extras too, collectables, incense, clothing, rares, cds and cassette tapes and other odds and ends. Cool little shop.

My wife and I really enjoyed the cool things like t-shirts, cds, dvds, vinyl records, you can bring all your items and he may buy them from you.

Cool and hip. They have a lage selection of new and used records, cds, some tapes and pretty fly clothing. I bought some Bing Crosby Merry Christmas record for $21 and got a dollar off token for that Ezey-Duz-It tape that caught my eye on the way out.

Huge selection vinyls, many CDS and tapes, large selection of incense. Varios merchandise such as posters, wall plates, shirts, socks, pins.

Weve been trying to get to a vinyl store for a while and this one was worth the wait. It would take days to go through their entire inventory. My husband and I both left with some great finds. Pricing was excellent for used vinyls and even the new vinyls we selected were priced competitively with other vendors.

Always love coming to the music shop. Th a staff know their stuff and a great selection of music. I like all the accessories that are now available in the job too. Makes the experience that much better/easier to buy good tunes

Love this place! Living in Round Rock, it is the closest record store to me, but it is a fantastic store! Ive only been here once so far, but will be making many repeat visits.I spent quite a while browsing through the vinyl, and had a good time doing it. Piranha has a large selection of both new and used vinyl, and also CDs & cassettes (though thats not why I was there). Clothing & accessories are also an option, with some nice Piranha Records gear as well as some band shirts.

One of the most excellent experiences Ive had being able to curate vinyl amongst my peers. The helpful staff couldnt have been any more knowledgeable or friendlier.

Found some cool stuff. Had to dig a little to find the punk records but it was worth it. The staff were friendly.

They have a wide selection of vinyls, cassettes, and CDs. They only supply needles for 2 brands of record players however and only have a few record players on stock. They have a few old game consoles. And headphones. They also sell gauges, and piercing accessories. Ps2 games, old Nintendo games too. Some keychains and pins. Staff are friendly. A nice store to browse through if your curious.

I feel lucky to have this place be my local record store- The prices are great, good deals are every where you turn! The used vinyl selection is amazing and there always seems to be a fresh influx of new stuff every time I visit. The staff are knowing and friendly and this place just has great vibes, I love taking my time here to dig around. There is also a wide range of cds and a good collection of 45s. Piranha is a must-stop location for people in the Austin area.

There was a lovely man in the store who was more than happy to help us find what we were looking for and even pulled something out that he just happened to remember that he just got in stock. Had a decent amount of stock and he was able to answer pretty much any question we had. Definitely recommend!

Been a long time customer, since they first opened up. The owner is a cool dude and always acknowledge us when we walk in. He always strikes up a convo when at the register as well. They have so many goodies; T-shirt’s, cds, records, dvds, keychains, stickers, pins, even incense!Today when I stopped by; I saw the owner spraying & wiping down the doors with disinfectant spray. I don’t even see the big box stores doing that anymore. John definitely cares about his customers and their shopping experience.

Great local indie owned record store. Dont see it there, ask. Bargain used cds and cool new vinyl. I love the fact that this has been a small locally owned neighborhood staple for a long time with no plans of being otherwise.

For about 13 years this place has been a refuge for those of us who still like to hold our music in our hands. Give them a call if you need that in opened CD or that 1974 vinal pressing. They will let you know if its around. Or if you need some that can get a new copy of Bill Shatners tribute to major tom they can get it.Swing by say hi.

I used to go here when i was in high school to flip through the dollar record bins in hopes of finding a gem, that was probably around 10 years ago, its crazy how time flies. Regardless, I went to piranha with my girlfriend on my birthday to mess around and look at vinyl having not been in the store for years and it amazed me that it was still the same place I knew in high school and the staff was still the same knowledgeable people!The prices here are more than fair and they have a HUGE selection of vinyl and other media. The guy that runs the place is a super nice dude. it seems like they know what they are talking about and they do their research when buying vinyl because i went looking for the bicycle company version of nine inch nails pretty hate machine vinyl and it was the only type they had (the UME version is a notoriously bad pressing).Overall going to Piranha is a great experience and for anyone looking to kill a couple hours rooting through vinyl you really need to check this place out.

John the owner is knowledgable and polite and the entire staff is friendly and helpful. Enormous inventory makes it a treasure hunt every visit. Highly recommended for serious collectors of all types of music.

This is a great vinyl shop, but they also have a lot of cool stuff in there. They have cool t-shirts, fat laces, body jewelry, incense, etc. Whether you want to spend time digging through records or looking for something specific, this place is great. The staff is nice and helpful.
