I like coming here. Smaller store so in & out fast. The prices are competitive. And being a smaller store; the service is always great!!

This store is tidy and friendly!! I would let my kids work here. You can tell the employees care about their store and their customers. It just feels better to shop here. I wish their meat counter had more turkey products like burgers and sausage, or that they had a larger baby section, but that wont stop me from visiting from time to time.

This location is always well stocked. And associates are always pleasant and willing to assist

The place is a bit outdated, and the selection is not expansive, but - its a great little neighborhood shopping market thats a local gem! Employees really are customer-focused and thats a nice compared to big corporate stores. Items on sale are competitive with chains. The biggest draw, though, is the meat counter. Hollywood does a great job getting quality, fresh meat and poultry. Happy to have this store nearby!

Their meat department is wonderful with a good selection of fish and seafood. Staff is always happy to assist.

Used to go shopping here with my mom when I was younger. Deli is excellent and prepared foods (roasted chicken, sides, etc) are great. Staff are friendly and helpful.

Very clean and produce is always fresh... some of the employees and customers there are not the friendliest unfortunately.... you ask a question and they just look at you as if you just stepped off a flying saucer....but overall I do like shopping there.

For a small grocery store, Im impressed with their assortment, most items you can find, except for gluten free stuff.The meat is very good and decently priced.The staf is very helpful and friendly.The checkout is fast because they always have multiple registers open.Go here if you are tired of overcrowded places like walmart or meijer.

Slightly inflated prices compared to big stores, but it is a locally owned family business with a great selection of Michigan/local products across the board. Friendly staff, very well kept store & easy to navigate. Quick in & out shopping whenever you need it but everything you need for a big grocery trip can also be purchased here. From Gluten Free donuts (yes they have both a frozen section & an aisle with GF products) to vegan cheez (veg meat, veg pizzas, veg anything & everything), Michigan chicken breast (& a HUGE deli) to local produce - its here. They even have dog toys ... Its hard to find a store that makes you feel like youve been a valued patron for your entire life. The 1950s feel is the perfect amount of kitschy-cute! Oh, did I mention their Rotisserie Chicken is the BEST EVER?!

I live near this location and like to walk to the store to support a local chain (vs going to Kroger, even though it’s much less expensive). I’m not sure I’ll be back- I went with my husband and we tried to buy a handful of items including a single beer (for a stew recipe), but the cashier refused to let us buy it because I did not have an ID (my husband did have his ID, and he was the one paying for the groceries). We’re both in our 30s. The cashier was pretty rude and snapped at us “you should always carry your ID with you, everywhere.” The meat counter here is good, the deli workers are always nice and helpful, and so are the baggers, but this particular experience left a bad taste.

Always a great experience they know how to train their staff to be courteous and helpful. During the pandemic never seen anybody in the store without a mask which is super rare but its up to the store to make sure that stuffs up to par and they pass the test!

Have been shopping here for over 10 years and have loved it. I dont feel like they are taking the pandemic precautions seriously enough. Spoke with the new manager who daid she does and will make sure safe practices are followed. Will give them another chance and will move on if not.

The deli offers wonderful choices and it has a old fashion meat counter. Its not an overwhelming place just a comfortable and youll more than likely see someone you know

I have been a long time shopper of the various Hollywood supermarkets and I usually shop at the market thats in Auburn Hills. Or the one in Rochester Hills. I stopped into this location for lunch which I do once in a while, I wish they would expand the store a little bit so little bit crowded and its showing its age but the people are amazing.

I enjoy my monthly visits to Hollywood Market. I have always found the staff to be friendly and helpful. The stores is always clean. I love the fresh products and over-the counter meats. Hollywood stores give you that good neighbor feeling, like youre always welcome to come.

I started coming here when they closed the Kroger at 13 and Woodward. A great local supermarket. I love their tuna salad and their house brand potato salad. They have a great selection of deli meat. Everything is reasonably priced, and the staff is always helpful and nice.

Nice little market in Royal Oak. Not as big as Madison Heights store. Meat counter has decent selection of fresh cut meat, even during covid pandemic. Helpful and friendly staff. Constantly cleaning the store and carts.

Good old fashioned grocery store. Love that it’s small and easy to navigate. The deli is amazing. Prices aren’t too bad for a small local business. Not suitable for plum market snobs or Aldi cheapskates. It’s somewhere in the middle.My only complaint is the smells. The recycle machines are right at the entrance and aren’t a good first impression. It smells like there’s a dead body behind the vegetable freezers.

Hollywood Market is a good local market and the Royal Oak area. They have good sales from week to week. My favorite is the store at 12 Mile and Campbell. Which appears to be a slightly larger store is well maintained and has an excellent meat counter. They have a good produce department billing department frozen foods and a nice selection of ice cream.

Best grocery store in all of Oakland county. Very clean and always well stocked. They have a beautiful meat counter. There is a deli and they serve the best fried chicken than anyone else in town. Because its such a great grocery store, I have shopped there weekly for almost 40 years. I usually go to the Main Street store but also go to the 12 Mile and Campbell location. I highly recommend Hollywood Market for all your food needs.

I see why people from Royal Oak love this place! Big selection of Organic foods, meat counter looked great although was only stopping by for a few things while I was in the neighborhood. Staff were very courteous asking if I preferred paper or plastic which rarely happens anymore. I liked that they carry Sanders, Awreys and Bill Knapps baked goods. They didnt have as much variety of yogurts flavors as I would have liked but everything else made up for it. Produce seemed very fresh!

Ive never had a bad experience here. Sometimes I have a hard time finding things since the setup is a little bit different from larger stores, but any time I have trouble the employees are right there to help.

Supervisor Mike P. refused to accept a valid military ID as proof of age for purchasing alcohol. I hope the anti military sentiment is contained to him and not indicative of Hollywoods approach.Update. Senior management reached out and corrected the issue, so I now give 5 stars

An employee named Paula in the meat department shouted at me that I was rude when I went to the meat counter to pick up some chicken. I asked the person I was on the phone with to hold so I could pick up my order. I said thank you and walked away. The employee shouted several times in front of other customers that I was rude. I asked a manager to have her apologize to me and she refused to apologize. I have never been disrespected by an employee this way ever before. And the manager Steve didnt seem to care.

This is your tried and true neighborhood grocery store. You can get all the basics, but dont go looking for trendy or high end groceries with names youre not sure you can pronounce. Its clean, staff are friendly, and lines move quickly due to its mid-size.By contrast, the Kroger up the street is huge and busy with loads more options but doesnt have the personal touch. And sometimes you just want to go somewhere a bit more local like Hollywood thats less chaotic with traffic on the inside and outside.The only reason I gave 4 stars is that youre more likely to need to go to more than one place if you start here and the recipe calls for some unique items.

Hollywood Market in Royal Oak is a high standards, high quality business. The selections in the Deli cases are Top Notch and the meat selection rivals anything found in the chain store markets. The employees are super helpful and friendly. A refreshing change from the BIG stores.

The employees here always go above and beyond! The food is aways fresh and yummy! Ive been coming here to get the Jack Daniels steak kabobs for YEARS! (Even when I lived in Detroit!) Ya GOTTA try the Kabobs. For REALZ! 👍👍

Shopped here for years - convenient! I hope the management understands that some of the slower moving items are counted on by the regular customers and if they disappear off the shelves because of an inventory decision then at times the customer will have to go somewhere else? Great place to work and shop. Worked there in 1952/1953 and shopped there since then, till now. Good management too. Best meat counter around. They are continually very good to the Salvation Army also.

This is a very good grocery store but there is one thing in particular that stands out...its meat department. If you want quality meat at a very good price, this is where to go. They cut meat in-house. None of this stuff that is cut far away and shipped already in a package. Look for sales too. I got thick cut NY strips that could easily hang with a Delmonico steak for $5.99/lb. in sale in December. They cut Chairmans Reserve, a very good brand. I get everything for my smoker there too. Side note, beer selection isnt as good as other locations, but you can find some gems in the beer dept. on the right day.

I frequent this store at least 2 times a week. Love the meat selection behind the counter. The store could be laid out a little better, but its a great local market. The Veggies are always fresh. Good place to do shopping.

A bit pricey but they have EVERYTHING for the average cock and the gourmet. Staff is super nice. Even other shoppers were amazing. Spent 45 discussing a recipe with a gentleman shopper with hints from one of the butchers and other shoppers.
