Dr. Swanson has been my optometrist for over 12 years. She is extremely knowledgeable, professional, and friendly. She is always willing to work with her patients to ensure their needs are met. I highly recommend her for anyone who needs an optometrist.

I cannot tell you how much I love this place. I have been going here for years. Dr. Swanson is great- very thorough and explains everything. Her equipment is state of the art and her staff is always professional and very nice. I love their glasses. She has the range from economical to very high end. If you love really nice glasses that you cant find anywhere else, come here because they have really great brands.

I went in on December 8th to order glasses, expecting to receive them in 2-3 weeks, as I was told. After 5 weeks had passed, I called to see if they had arrived and they hadnt. I called back on February 17th. The woman I spoke with said they were in the back but nobody bothered calling me. The entire time I was without glasses.

Amazing service! Front desk crew was very friendly and took good care of me until Dr. Swanson assisted with the appointment! Dr. Swanson was exceptional! The interaction was great as she broke down in a clear detailed demonstration that provided me a visual understanding on what is going on with my eye sight. If I could make her my primary eye doctor I would!

(Edited to add that 7 months ago the owner commented here that they would be looking into it and try to make us happy customers. As usual with them, any communication ends before it even begins. I never heard from them, which I honestly dont care about at this point, but it is reflective of everything I said below. Great doctor, really disorganized office staff with horrible customer care. Just go see the doctor to get a prescription and then get your glasses somewhere else.)My family has purchased multiple pairs of glasses between us and while the doctor is good, the rest of it is extremely disorganized. The first time we purchased glasses I thought it took a long time at 3 weeks, but the wait time has become longer and longer each time. Recently we went in to get the arm on my daughters glasses fixed because it was bent, no new lenses, just an arm. It took weeks to replace and even longer for them to bother to let us know that the glasses were ready. Two weeks in we called because we had not heard anything and the glasses were still not ready. We were told repeatedly that we would be notified as soon as they had them back. 1.5 weeks later we were told that yes they were in and had been waiting for us for days, but no one had contacted us. This whole time my daughter was going without glasses and they knew it.When my husband went in to get my daughters glasses fixed he also was seen by the doctor and ordered glasses himself. Glasses, that were crazy expensive and more than we would have paid elsewhere considering we have great vision insurance. Now, over 5 weeks later, his glasses are finally in. Totally unacceptable as they were not a complicated order by any means. No explanation was given and he was generally treated as if he was a problem for checking in when he did.The parking is also an issue as the lot that they validate for is sometimes closed, like today, or full. Be prepared to try and find street parking downtown.Basically, the doctor is great, but none of the rest of it is worth it. That is unless you like inflated prices, driving around forever looking for parking, unhelpful staff that dont communicate well, and waiting over 5 weeks for your new glasses. I know that we wont be going back.

Great experience with Dr Swanson. Very personable and professional, and took plenty of time to explain everything she was seeing in the scans, even though there werent any potential issues. She and her staff were also super happy to just print my Rx for me without pressure to buy. The opticians explained the cost-sharing for my insurance for frames, but never gave me any pressure. It was reassuring to know that their goal really was eye health for their patients, not selling lenses.

Amazing experience- the Doctor was professional and pleasant. Staff was efficient - meaning I did not have to wait in any step of the process during my visit. The contacts fit great and the glasses (when on) add 10 points to my IQ and lower my age by 10 years - thank you.

I had some new floaters in my eye that I was concerned might be associated with a retinal detachment. I was able to make an online appointment and see the doctor quickly. She did a thorough eye exam and assured me they were just regular floaters. Office staff was very helpful and polite. Highly recommend this place.

Everyone was pleasant and professional. Even though I am just another baby boomer with reading glasses, Dr Swanson kindly spent time advising me on getting the best use from my eyeware, as well as educating me on general eye health. Will return for my annual checkups.

Dr Swanson is a great doctor. Funny and always patient in explaining the process. Both my daughter and I have been patients for almost 6 years now. Many of my coworkers now see Dr Swanson as well. Her staff is always helpful.

Ive been going to Eyes on J since its original location on 10th/J back in 2000! Ive been seeing Dr. Swanson since 2002. She is a professional through and through with vast knowledge and she is friendly too. All the opticians that work there are great too! Great selection of eye wear. I got prescription goggles for my work and they are perfect. I noticed a white spot on my eye and called this office and they recommended I come in right away. I was prescribed antibiotics and it cleared up. This place saved my eye sight! I highly recommend Eyes On J! Since my eye infection I go every year to make sure my eyes are healthy.

They have a great selection of frames, and some fabulous folks to help you pick out THE most flattering ones!I started going here a number of years ago because they were close to my office. Ive since retired, but am happy to make the trip downtown because of the great service Ive received here.

My appointment with Dr. Sarah Swanson on Wednesday, October 31, 2018, could not have gone better. My visit began with a very pleasant reception by one of the assistants, who asked me to complete an information sheet. She then led me to an examination room where she performed various preliminary functions to acquire information. I met Dr. Swanson shortly afterwards and she performed various examinations on my eyes and vision to determine the status of my eyesight. Dr. Swanson then very carefully and thoroughly explained all of the results, and the options to improve my vision. I found Dr. Swanson to be very caring, very honest and very forthright. I even told Dr. Swanson that she had a wonderful bedside manner and that it was obvious she really cared about her patients and her work. Ultimately I walked out of Dr. Swansons office extremely happy with the results and I hope to continue being one of her patients. I highly recommend the office, not only because of Dr. Swanson, but also because each and every one of the four assistants I met that day were wonderful and well trained on how to interact with people. On a scale of 1 through 10, I give the office a 12.

I’ve been seeing (ha!) Dr. Swanson for a decade. She’s knowledgeable, helpful, and caring. My favorite thing is the no dialation retenal scan. Glaucoma runs in my family so I want to keep an eye (ha! ha!) on it. I love the stylish frames too. Walkable for anyone who works downtown. They also validate parking at the City Garage of Caesar Chavez Park and the Capitol Garage at L and 10th.

Friendly staff. Good lense selection. But, they shouldnt make you pay for your glasses before you get them...later than they promised...like a week later.

Great optometrist, unskilled staff. Examples of them dropping the ball: ordering the wrong prescription, labeling contacts with the wrong eye, lying to me about a rebate when the contacts I was buying were not in fact eligible, forgetting to give me paperwork, and in general being unable to answer very simple questions about the lens brand, prescription, or my VSP insurance plan. And this is all in the process of trying to get a single prescription filled. If you get glasses or contacts here, be prepared to do your own homework, double check everything they do, and make multiple inconvenient trips downtown during business hours.
