They took me right at my 9:30 appointment time. Everyone was friendly and professional. I dont think Ive ever had a more thorough eye exam. And they play the coolest smooth jazz music! They also have an extensive frame collection to choose from. Big thumbs up for me!

This visit my husband and I were particularly impressed with Gaby. She is extremely knowledgeable and very dedicated to ensuring that we were totally satisfied with our glasses.

Hands down the best eye care experience I have ever had (and I have had to see an OD at least once a year for the last 26 years). Great staff, great doctors. Every time I go there, I feel welcome. Dr. Schermer is a straight talker. He tells you the truth. If you dont really need new glasses, hell tell you so. If you need a referral to a specialist, theres no ego involved. The staff has great patience with patients who argue about the COVID protocols. Bless their hearts and their hard work. The only complaint I have is that its hard to see their building from the road. So you have to watch out for their small sign to turn into the right building.

Extremely below unhappy with this place! Unprofessional manners as well! My wife went there for an eye appointment cause she desperately needs her eyes examined. She could not get into Kaiser so that is where she ended up going unfortunately! They would not allow me to come in with her as she had requested me to come with her and they did not allow it due to their paranoid covid restrictions! This type of behavior is uncalled for, you should allow family members with patients especially during this time! If you dont allow it, your practice could be deemed and considered unsafe as you possibly may have been around someone that has covid. Therefore, I will be seeking to file further complaint! Also, I know the other reviews on here are their family /friends, these other reviews posted are not in anyway legit to consider going here! In face, you know what, I am requesting the place be audited and staff fired and shut down indefinitely!

I love my new glasses! They are just what I wanted. I asked for computer/reading glasses that were about the same magnification as the separate glasses I used for computer and for reading. The doctor checked my eyes thoroughly and agreed that those parameters would work for me. So now, I have a great pair of glasses and can see well for reading and for looking back up at the computer screen. They make great scrabble glasses, too. I had gone to another place a few years before with the same request, but did not get what I needed, so the glasses sat in a drawer unused. I wish I had gone to Schermer Eye Associates the first time. They will be my go to place from here on out. Everyone is professional and friendly, and everyone there knows what they are talking about. Highly recommended!

I have been going to this office for over 20 years. I have always has gentle, thorough exams from any of the doctors. They are patient and explain everything. They also listen and answer questions. The support staff are sweet hearts. I have always enjoyed choosing and fitting new glasses with the same two gals that have been there longer than I have. My daughters have also had good experiences at any age.

I’ve been going here since 2017. All staff are super sweet and really helpful. They offered cookies and coffee pre COVID-19.I love shopping for new eyewear. I’m a little picky and non-adventurous when it comes to frames. The staff provides great suggestions and make the process fun. They go out of their way to show various frames that may work for me.

I had an appointment to shop for frames 15min before my exam at 4. I arrived 5min early for this appointment. I filled out paperwork and then waited to be called to look at frames. At 4 I asked to reschedule the appointment they had completely missed. The woman at the desk refused to look up at the counter for a good while and was obvious annoyed when she did finally respond to me patiently waiting for her to acknowledge me. I don’t know why she was annoyed but this point I certainly was. She told me that my appointment was at 3:45 as if I had just shown up. I told her i had been there for 20min. She told me that they were with someone else. Nobody would answer what I was supposed to do since it was time for my appointment already. Luckily? I was able to do my shopping after 4 because I wasn’t called back for my appointment until almost 4:30. At no point did anyone call to reschedule with me or even attempt to explain that they were running behind while I waited. The woman that helped me pick frames was very nice and seemed to be darn good at her job, but she didn’t even ask me what I like or have worn in the past which could have saved a great deal of time. Instead I just rejected the first 8 pairs or so. Each of which would need to be sanitized. Hooray Covid! She also brought me the same frames over and over despite me rejecting them. I don’t know why. When I finally did get called back for the appointment, it was fine. I went through the exam twice and it resulted in the doctor telling me that she can’t get my eyesight to 20/20. The last 3-4 lines I was showed were blurry. This has always been the case when I test my eyes so it actually lined up pretty well with my own experience. it’s just not possible for some reason and glasses never really fix it. I was actually rather impressed by that. Nobody has ever told me that before. They did a thorough exam of my eyes and found nothing physically wrong. I paid and walked out around 5:15. I will admit that i was apologized to by both the woman helping me choose frames and the woman at the desk several times before leaving about my wait, but that doesn’t change the unwarranted attitude I received when they were running VERY late and the fact that nobody ever tried to explain what timeline they were actually on. 3 stars reflects exactly where I’m at with it. I’m not sure if I (and subsequently my husband) will be back or not.

The person suppose to help in choosing glasses dont seem to have patience, Dr.patell is great so are the rest, but I was not happy with the person who suppose to help in choosing glasses, she seems frustrated ..not okay, good thing there is a lot of choice so I end up taking my prescription to choose frames from other providers. I’ve been going to Dr. Schermer’s office for over five years. I was originally a patient of Dr. Rogers, who I loved, but he retired. Good for him. I recently went during the COVID-19 pandemic, and felt very safe. All of the staff were wearing face shields or masks and taking care to make sure that we felt safe in the building. They took my temperature upon entering the building. I met with Dr. Mao for my prescription update. I loved her! She was very kind, thorough, and quick, which is appreciated during this time. I would highly recommend Dr. Schermer’s office to anyone!

I had to wait ten or fifteen minutes for every step but the doctors were very thorough. The only thing was that Medicare and Medicaid didnt cover my eyeglasses which was why I came here. Now I have to go to Walmart to get a pair. I got a prescription though, which helps.

I have been a patient of Dr. Schermer and his team of professionals for probably 20+ years. Also have referred many people, especially with complicated visual problems, to his practice and they are so happy to have their issues addressed. I have never had to had a pair of new prescription glasses remade, which did happen when I went to less-than-professional business in the past. Cannot recommend this practice highly enough. In fact, Im heading over there today to pick up my new computer glasses.It’s now August 2020 and I had my annual and very thorough dilated exam with Dr Hwang and she is great. Clear communication, directions and a gentle exam. She and all the staff are technically well trained. As a retired eye technician of 40 years, I am pretty particular and this clinic continues to meet and exceed all of my expectations.

I have ad great eye doctor there. The staff is great. friendly, helpful, knowledgeable, and its kick back. The glasses are the ones they test you. They are kick back, good, they are sure that the glasses are right before they get them to you. If I had gotten my first pair of glass the, I would have never gone to anywhere else for glasses. We live about 40 miles away and well worth the traffic and ride. I have macular degeneration. He referred me to another dr to have the shots in my eyes. I am very pleased with my new eye doctor, Dr. Patel. I had been seeing my previous eye doctor since I was 2 years old. When she announced her retirement, I had slight anxiety over finding a new eye doctor. I have to admit that I was hesitant about switching to the new doctor in the office, but I have been pleasantly surprised by Dr. Patel. He is professional yet personal, he is very patient with my kids, and I’m so happy with my service. I recently went in for my annual exam and he suggested corrective contact lenses, one for reading and one for distance. I reluctantly accepted the trial lenses at that time. I finally tried them last week and I love them...they are life changing! He knew what was best for me before I did! I was able to make an appointment the next day, at the time I needed, for a lens fitting to make sure they were the correct prescription. I would highly recommend Dr. Patel.

I had two cataract removal surgeries with Schermer Hunt & Rogers a year ago. The operations were painless, convenient, and took about 25 minutes. The difference in my eye sight is amazing. I now have 20/20 vision AND my whole world is cleaner.I am an artist and I had not realized that for years, evidently, I wasnt seeing the color white but a kind of beige/grey. After my cataract surgery, everything in nature is brighter, and cleaner, like Clorox had been used to make things sparkle.Schermer Hunt & Rogers are the best! While performing an extensive exam, the doctor takes the time to obtain updates in my health, answer all my questions and carefully discuss her findings (any changes, concerns, etc.). I rely on her knowledge and skills to guide me through the plethora of frame choices. I was very impressed with the professional and thorough eye care I received from this office. The staff was friendly and all were personable and caring. When Dr. Hunt found a problem with my retina, she was able to schedule an appointment with an ophthalmologist at Kaiser since we were losing our insurance and going to senior advantage insurance due to my husbands forced retirement. I would still to to Dr. Hunt and pay for it myself for regular check ups when possible. I am, again, very impressed with her ability and care.

Dr. Schemer should be commended for bringing on partners and associates such as Dr. Wang, Dr. Patel & Dr. Mao. They are exacting, competent, professional & personable.Thr office staff is careful with your information & caring about the patient.

I have been going to this office for many years and have always had a good experience. The staff and doctors have always been wonderful. I miss Dr. Hunt since I have been seeing her for years but Dr. Patel is great.
