Proceed with caution. Employees of the service department fraudulently completed an inspection report after I brought my vehicle in for routine maintenance. The service manager, Don, responded to my civil-but-direct push-back against this event with, none of our techs are perfect, and failed to responsibly address the concern. They allowed my vehicle to leave the inspection with coolant below the minimum line but attested in writing that it had passed visual inspection. This was not because my engine was warm. One of the clerks at the service desk also refused to correct my name in their system that links into the FCA warranty database and became visibly irritated when I asked for the issue to be corrected before I sign the packet of service authorization papers.
The kindness of the representative who helped me with my warranty case made me feel valued and confident my car was in great hands.My transmission failed but with the extended warranty they sold me back in 2015, they took care of it all, parts & labor. Workers/management has improved tremendously since 2015 which is why I keep going back.
Beto at MY Jeep Chrysler Dodge RAM in Salinas was very responsive from first contact, when I told him I was driving 60 + miles and couldnt make it until later in the afternoon he pulled the truck I was interested in aside, fueled and washed it and kept me updated with texts and pictures. When we arrived he greeted us right away, took us straight to the truck for a looksee & test drive. He was professional, friendly and knowledgeable and went above and beyond to ensure we could work out the down payment so we could take the truck home that day. Beto made the whole experience a good one and I will definitely refer friends and family. He will also be the first person we call if we are ever in need of another vehicle.
I rarely leave reviews; however, I was highly disappointed with the service I received. My Jeep has a recall and I expressed my concerns to the lady that assisted me both times I called. A few weeks ago I called and she said they did not have the part in but that she would call me as soon as they did. I have not driven my Jeep due to safety concerns (turned off while I was driving) in over a month so yesterday I decided to call for an update and I let her know my current situation to which she replied The part is going to take up to six moths to arrive. Theres nothing I can do for you. You can call corporate or another service center. I was completely taken back by her response so I did as she indicated. I called another Jeep service center and they were very polite and placed an order for my part and they said it should only be about a week. I love my car and this review is solely addressing the service center aspect.
BUYERS and CAR OWNERS BEWARE!! Do Not Take Your Cars their to get fixed or get a diagnostic check! We took our car in for a diagnostic check and they said it needs a new engine and total cost for repair comes up to $8400 to fix it. Also, they asked if I wanted to trade in our car. Something wasnt adding up and this was clearly a lot to take in so we wanted a second opinion. We decided to take it to our local auto shop located in Soledad, called Laras Smog Check and they said we only needed to change the thermostat and not the whole engine. How can these people sleep at night! Zero stars PERIOD!!
**EDIT** From 5 stars to 1 star...You can thank the SERVICE (or lack of service) Dept.My wife went in today for her first service. Made an appointment for 8 am for an oil change and to confirm a safety recall notice. Was told it would be 2 hours for the oil change...TWO HOURS! That is already absurd! Then was told it would be until after 1 pm to check the other items. It is now 2:30 pm and they still have not finished the car. All the while, my wife has had to wait at the dealership for quite some time, then asked to be taken home and then given a ride back and it is STILL not ready. That level of service is shameful and the owners should be disgusted with their service departments level of urgency and proficiency. It has cost my wife missing an important client meeting at 3 pm in Monterey! Thank you for My Chrysler for costing us even more money! Appreciate that. Something that should have been completed in less than one hour has completely ruined her entire day.My first review of the SALES team still stands:Fantastic customer service and they thoroughly listened to my familys needs. They never tried shoving a car down our throats or were pushy with us in any way. They laid out all the options for us and were still willing to negotiate a bit with us on price and financing. I would absolutely recommend family and friends to this dealership. They will be treated with respect and appreciation.

I went into the parts and accessories department 2/19/21. I spoke with a gentleman, I told him I own a Ran Longhorn and would like a leather cleaner and conditioner. The gentleman said he needed my vin number. I asked him why he needed my vin number.? He replied to locate your vehicle in the system to get the correct part you need. I asked him, do you know what I just asked for ? He replied, what did you ask for ? I told him again, a leather cleaner and conditioner. If you need my vin number to locate that, go ahead and get my vin number. Another gentlemen behind the counter said what does she want, the first gentleman said she doesn’t know what she wants. The second gentleman told me to go to auto zone and they could help me. Terrible service there ! I would not recommend this dealership to anyone.

Armando was so polite and extremely helpful from the first moment I applied for a loan. He contacted me right away and was eager and willing to help me despite my credit problems. He talked to me and explained to me that there are different banks that were willing to work with someone like me who was trying to rebuild credit. He gave me different options and got me approved for a loan and he was able to find me the car that I wanted. It was brand new and beautiful! Not a fan of this place at all,Serviced our companies work vehicle I’m assigned to and have to have it serviced here at times.The service Dept has no concern for customers seems like since there is no other dealership around where are you going to go? I tell you that how they make you feel no urgency not care.I moved out of the area and I am so glad I do not have to deal with this place anymore.

Brittany works in the service department and shes been very helpful. They took care of my concerns with my vehicle in a timely manner although they were backed up on appointments. They told me it would be 2 weeks for my car to be seen, 3 days later my car is ready, fixed and they even washed my car! Excellent customer service!!

I took my vehicle for an Oil change and tire rotation yesterday. I made an appointment 3 weeks in advance. I waited 4 1/2 hours patiently, I request for the status and service Adviser Huerta told me she was in the process of getting the vehicle ready. I paid for the oil change and received my truck. They fail to fill some of the fluids and no car wash. Worst service I experienced.

If I could give them 0 or less than that I would bough a new jeep and after couple weeks I call to do alignment since i install a lift purchase also from them and they tell me they dont align lifted cars of curse they wouldnt do that since we didnt spend the money there to do the install shady business and even the rep didnt care and was like bye over the phone was will probably be canceling the service plan from them now

Fraud: review forms before signing. I sat there over 7 hours did all paper work needed a co signer. My son in law was co signing for me. Low and behold Nelson put my son in law as the buyer . They drove to Manteca ca to have him sign the form. Thats when my son refused to sign, was expecting to sign one form. Im not familiar with the paper work. Nelson had the nerve to say my son in law misunderstood. Single moms or dads be careful with the tricks played at this car dealer. I feel insulted because i trusted.

Purchasing a vehicle from here was excellent.. BUT the service department is horrible!! Called to make an appointment to get something fixed (something THEY forgot to do in the first place)... Was on hold for 10 minutes, was transferred 3xs.. finally some guy answered and was extremely rude... You could hear the loudest sighs, like I was being a huge inconvenience to him... I asked him how long it would take, so I could decided what time to bring it in and he told me its only 10 minutes but he said it in a way that was more like.. you dont have time for 10 minutes??!... I then took it in, only to find out that it wasnt a 10 minute thing, it was going to take approx 2hrs!!.. so I decided to wait, and after almost an hour, I find out that their system was down and they couldnt do anything 😤.. so I rescheduled, and thankfully they were able to FINALLY do it... Only reason they are getting 2 stars is because the sales team was awesome and the girl at the service dept did sincerely apologize for the delay..
I asked to test drive a charger and the guy looked at us like we were broke he said the car was to expensive and that he wanted to run my credit to see if I could actually afford the car . I had gotten my challenger there already with perfect customer service by my buddy hector and then this piece of trash disrespected me . Will take my business else where

Markeith Powell went above and beyond making sure we got the right vehicle for the right price, working late and getting things done quick and professionally. I HIGHLY, HIGHLY recommend him. Delilah Kasting also helped us when Markeith was out one day, and she was extremely friendly and professional and helped us get out the door with the new Jeep. I highly recommend her as well. The My dodge sales department was great but when it comes to their service department, thats where the F comes into play. My RAM truck has been brought back to the service department over 20 times, every time I get it back something else is wrong or the original problem was never fixed, they are very good at just resetting the engine light. On top of the incompetence, the service manager is a very arrogant jerk and never makes things right. This comment is not only mine, but a majority of the customers and other people I speak too. Major problems are covered up when they cannot be fixed or told its a common thing for a RAM trucks transmission to slip and make very loud screeching at only 5000 miles. Maybe its a lemon if the Service Manager states they have problems...A company is only as good as the service it provides afterwards. Any dealership can sale you a vehicle, standing behind the customer after the sale is paramount, whether we purchase one vehicle or a fleet of them. they should care about us like they did when we signed the contract and rang the bell, not the way they do. I will never purchase from this dealership again and will let everyone I know not to as well. As corporate stated to me if you need a good service department, go to Seaside or Gilroy. So everybody go there when you buy because they will help you after this major life purchase. Im very Sad that I try to do the right thing by buying local only to tossed to the side when my vehicle has major issues so new in it life.Even tried calling the GM John Guru thinking that might help, all that got was a free oil change but not a fixed truck...Be careful is all I can tell you, their service manager is quite the rude and Moody person.So I know have two options, hope the other dealership will fix what My Dodge cannot & broke or file a lemon law suite, if in deed the Salinas Service Manager is correct and it just has many problems.

Had an awful experience with the service department.Took my Jeep in for scheduled maintenance. First they tried to sell me services i didnt need before even looking at my car. i took it in for 30K mile service, which requires just an oil and filter change, tire rotation, air filter replacement and a few items to be inspected. They tried to sell me much more! Read the service schedule, people! dont let them fool you! But this is how all the dealerships roll - nothing special here. Here is the interesting part! Before they took my car in they did a visual inspection and noticed couple tiny scratches on a rear bumper. When they returned the car, Ive noticed a scratch and chipped paint on my front bumper! They insist that the car was dirty when i brought it in, and they must have not noticed it. Yeah right! Youve noticed tiny little scratches behind this little dust and some waterspots, but you havent noticed chipped paint?
I bought a 2016 dodge dart from this company at 15,000 miles my clutch went out the mechanic working on my car faild to notice that the flywheel needed to be replaced too as a result I waited two weeks without a car and it wasnt until it was almost finished that they said I could get a rental 30 minutes after I picked it up from them I broke down in watsonville because the mechanic didnt reattach the clamp for the radiator hose. After having it towd back out there to have them fix it I had to wait another two days for my car. After getting my car back for the second time. Within a week Im driving back down from Santa Clara and my a.b.s. started kicking in regardless of speed or pressure applied to the brakes when i brought the car in yet again they tried to get me in a new car where my payments would go up more than 200 dollars. I told them I wanted the brakes fixed but because I brought up the lemon law there unwilling to work with me. I pay 500 dollars a month for a car Ive driven 7 times out of the last 50 days how can you guys sell what you dont stand behind

Just picked up the 7th car in a row that I have purchased from john guru pena. Thats right, my last 7 cars, I have purchased from john. I am not lying. I like to say I bought from john but I always insist on the footwork being done by 2 of the most knowledgable and true gentlemen around, jonas and armando.How do you like being told by some kid at some dealership that there are no rebates or discounts. That wont happen at MY with john. Ask for jonas and get the ball rolling. Tell him you want rebates, discounts and a coke.I have always been treated professionally and with respect. Every single time. I always get a great deal. Nobody leaves with a new car without a full tank of gas. Guess what... you dont have to ask for it. I would never consider going anywhere else. Better hurry they are almost out of high rebate 2016 200s.Dont forget to insist that Nelson do your financing. There is none more knowledgeable or curteous and he is a vet who has served our country with valor.

Up until this past Friday, I had had an overall ok experience with this location. This past Friday the 22nd, the fuel pump on my truck went out... again. (This location replaced my fuel pump 60K miles ago when it first went out last year.) In my previous experiences with the service writers who knew about my truck and its warranty coverage (I have the Chrysler Lifetime Maximum Care Warranty on my truck). I called them, told them who i was, the person I spoke with said they would call Enterprise rentals about getting me a SUV. That never happened. An hour later I call back saying I never got a call back. The person I spoke with said he had no idea anyone was supposed to call and look up a vehicle for me. I arrive in the tow truck and approached a very full repair waiting lot. The tow truck had to hover for 15 minutes so the dealership could move vehicles out of the way to make room for this delivery. It was late on Friday (3:30pm) so I knew that they wouldnt get to my truck until Monday. I was ok with that. Ive been coming here for years but this time around, there is a new staff around and new service writers who dont know me and have the worlds hardest time finding that I have the extended warranty coverage. I let them know that I strongly believe the fuel pump had gone out again on my truck and since I have it here for that failure, my alternator (which is covered under my warranty) was acting up as well over the past month and Id appreciate if they replaced it. The service writer said he would look up a price for the alternator and let me know. I told him that maybe he didnt understand that I had the maximum care warranty and that there would be no additional cost to have it replaced beyond my deductible.Up through the past service last year, I had always gotten the rental car at no cost. This time around, I was told it would be $35/day. I shook my head at them. I left with a rental car out of pocket for the first time. Monday comes and i call about the truck. The manager informs me that they cant find my service contract and they are going to order the parts but dont know if Im going to pay full price for the entire repair. I told him that if it comes to that, either him or I will be calling Chrysler from his office to get that BS resolved. I have the contract in writing and will be MORE than happy to bring it in person. At this point, this place is already sitting at strike 2 in my mind and im getting VERY upset. So if the parts are ordered Monday, they would come in Tuesday. Its about a 3 hour repair for everything so I figure Ill get a call Tuesday afternoon saying my truck is ready. Nope. Wednesday comes and I call.... they say that the parts have been ordered but they havent come in yet. Ok. Thursday morning 9 am I call and ask for an update. Im told the parts are in and I will have my truck back by end of day. Good. I run a service business and I had moved appointments from Wed to Friday that require me to have my truck in order to accomplish. I drive by the dealership and pop in Thu at 2 pm and talk with the service writer assigned to my truck and he says that the wrong parts came and I wont get my truck until Friday. I told him that doesnt work for me. I was promised something and now im being jerked around. I never got a call saying the wrong parts came in and wouldnt be getting my truck. I had PLANNED appointments around the idea of getting my truck back on the time that was promised. I now have to pay for ANOTHER unnecessary day of rental vehicle and RE-reschedule appointments because of their incompetence.I get a call today saying my truck is ready. I go to pick it up, paid my deductible and was promptly charged an additional $245 for a weeks rental on the car. Service manager never even OFFERED to pay it or pay part of it. I will be contacting their corporate offices about this. This is NOT how you treat valuable customers.
I took my 1999 jeep cheeokee in for an oil change including a 26 point inspctn. and when I picked it up, the guy at the front of service dept. Didnt even say anything as far as the results on the inspctn. and I ask if the jeep was fine based on the 26 point inspctn. and he said, the mechanic didnt say anithing so it came out good on the 26 point inspctn. I later took it in for a noice that it was making and they said they noticed it needed new brakes and on the oil chng w/ a 26 point inspct they said the brakes were fine. That tells me they didnt do the full 26 point inspctn. Then, I payed like 800 dollars +/- for them to fix a noice, but when I picked the jeep up, the noice was still there. I Spoke to John Guru because the Service Dept. Manager was very rude and unprofesional and anoying, Mr. Guru said he would help me and call me and he never did call me to keep me posted on this issue. The worst service ever.

Service Department is terrible. They dont return calls. They dont stand behind their work. They charge you extra to fix a problem they charged you to fix before (within two weeks!) Run as fast as you can from this business.
Very unsatisfied with the sales people at this dealership. We bought a car here on August 1st, and at the time they only gave us one key. When we recontacted them to ask for the second key, they keep putting us off, or sometimes say they will send it, or that someone will call back, but it never happens. Our sales person was Alaina. Beware of this dealership!
Part number 6806 4273 ab sold on eBay but not at the dealer??? Maybe they were just trying to sell me a $135 part when it can be repaired with a three dollar bushing.

Went there after being referred through a website that said it matched people with rubbish credit to places that would work with them and keep monthly payments low. Knowing I had bad credit they ran a credit check anyway which I obviously failed, then offered me a car that was not even close to what I wanted for unaffordable monthly payments. They offered no help to lower the payments and kept pushing me to buy it anyway.Im giving them a single star because you cant rate zero and I guess the staff were pretty nice.
