Be careful! None of the product in this store has price posted just because they are over charging for almost every single item. They don’t want people to see and compare prices. 10% to 20% overpriced and in some cases 30% extra. Zero customer service!

Stocked market with a great selection of dry goods and non-perishables. Staff was also super pleasant and helpful. Worth the 45-minute drive from Mid-Shore Maryland. Highly recommended!

Dont go here unless you are desperate! The only reason this store is up and running is because there are no other indian grocery stores in this region! While the store appears presentable, the people who run the store seem completely uninterested and aloof. There are many expired products, so make sure you check dates if you have to go here! I have noticed it many times and brought it to their notice but they dont seem to care! Even if the product is defective, they do not care.If they can sell a product, they will! I have personally experienced this. There is no clear pricing policy, no prices are mentioned anywhere. The only time you know the price is when you check out ! Obviously the products are overpriced. They have a lot of questionable business practices, i am surprised they have any good reviews! In my opinion, I think the good reviews may even be fake. Well go if you want to, you may yourself have an okay opinion about the place but dont say you werent warned!

AVOID AVOID AVOIDThis place sells items with BUGS inside. We had 2 papad wafer packets with bugs inside upon opening. Some had larvae. When i called the store the employee or owner did not even apologize. Rudely stated he would give me credit next time. I also suspect they tamper with expirations dates as the date fonts differ o certain products. After looking at other reviews it seems items with bug infestations is very common at this store. Will be notifying the health department.

The green chilly patel brothers sell for $1.99 is $5.99 here. The above is one obvious example I wanted to share. There are so many other things that is wayyyyy expensive but the quantity is very less. Cant loot the customers like that.

Great mom and pop shop to get all the ingredients from India that you might need. They have a collection of rare food and oils. You dont have to be fron India to stop buy they have all kind of goodies that you could find use for. It would surprise you of what they have in there. The owners will greet you from the door and help you look for anything that you need or help yourself browse away till you find something that could strike your interest...

Good place for Indian and Pakistani

Im so glad we found India Bazaar! They have every spice you could possibly need for authentic indian cooking. My family loves tikka masala, moong dal dhuli, butter chicken, you name it. I can make my own garam masala now because they have every spice I needed, no more frustration trying to find them at the inept grocery stores! The owners are super kind and helpful!! They have loads of other goods and products from India, as well. A lot of rices, flours, lentils. Its awesome! We love this store!

I had a similar experience. They are selling expired items and when you talk to the store workers/owners they yell at you. This is not a clean store and the price tags are always messed up. I will definitely drive out of my way to find another store to get better service/products.

This store is not what it used to be. Everything is always expired and they refuse to fix anything broken in the store. For example, I once saw some spices that have been expired for almost a year. They use cheeky tactics to try to hide the expiration date like making it small and hard to read, or putting the date in a different format, its very sneaky, and probably illegal too. They also try to skimp out and give you less change than you actually get. The only upside to this store at this point is the wide variety of stuff they have in the store. Everything is so expensive, and most of the revenue doesnt even go back into the store either, but rather for the owners delight as they seem to have a brand-new Lexus SUV. Save yourself the trouble, there are other, much better South-Asian stores in the area.

Over changing, expired product, no proper price tags, also have the lady attitude problem. Please watch out for expired product guys. They dont put any price tag for all lost everything. If you ask the price they show attitude for no reason. Dont buy anything from this store.

They sell expired products! Not to mention the staff is incredibly rude. They were disrespectful, rude, unprofessional, and completely unreasonable when my mother in law tried to return flour (that she just bought) that was EXPIRED. Take your business elsewhere. If I could leave 0 stars I would.

When I informed them I had purchased an expired item from them they seemed to think I was lying about it. It was a very embarrassing experience and all for an item under $3 in value, i won’t be going here again.

Stop overcharging, be honest and dont sell expired products. Please avoid this store like a plague. Unscrupulous merchant who cheats unsuspecting customers.If you are not a local and from the sub-continent youll might find yourself thinking youre getting a good deal. Let me elaborate why this business should be shut down in the interest of public safety.1. Like most south asian groceries, the deliveries of all merchandise are from warehouses in NJ. Frozen products are brought in non-refrigerated trucks that are left parked overnight before being stocked inside this stores freezers.2. The store freezers malfunction a lot, with water flowing out. This means most of the stuff is thawed and refreezes. Fully sealed frozen parathas have mold in them. How is this possible? The store owner refused to honor, claims the mold in the customers house caused it.3. If youre like most who does not count the change given, the store owner will skim a few dollars at a time. The minimum for credit card transaction is $10 so I had to give cash. Rarely using cash, I had to give a $20 bill for a purchase that cost less than $5. As I talking with another friend and walked out the store without realizing the change was only for $10 not $20. Realizing I gave a twenty, I asked for the ten dollars I was due. Lets not get into the details. I just walked out without any argument as this ten dollars isnt worth losing your mind over. What matters is integrity. Never again, Ive stepped back into the store. I will support and go out of my way to support honest merchants. Not this guy. Talking to other friends whove had similar experience.4. Check the many packaged products, you will not able to see the best use date or date of manufacture. This is by design to sell expired products to gullible customers.5. Every single product is overpriced. This is what a monopoly looks like.6. Try picking vegetables in the store. The store owner will stand like a hawk near you as if youre going to gobble up the raw veggies.7. Save yourself the trouble of visiting this store. Order online from plenty of professional south asian grocers who deserve the business and support.Im done with this business. Shop at your own risk. Good luck.

This establishment has really grown over the years. Everytime I go they have more ingredients for most of my dishes. Fresh vegetables and meat are delivered every Thursday. There is also a good selection of skin and hair care products.

The worst customer service I have ever received in my life. I bought a item and came back to return it one hour later because it was expired and instead of returning the item, they called the police. They told the police he is a thief, so I left the item I already purchased and walked away.

Used to be a great place to shop for Asian food from a variety of different cultures... Not so much anymore.

I bought a packet of black grams from India bazaar,Salisbury,MD.After two days when I soaked some of it in water, I could see some floating grams which contained small black insect inside. When I tried to bring this to the notice of the shop keeper with my bill, he said that it is because of my storing place condition and he is not responsible for that and he could not do any thing about that. I have even heard from my friends saying about the contamination of food in that shop. I was one of the regular customer of that shop, He doesn’t know how to respect customers and he is not ready to accept his fault.So I would never recommend any body to go to that shop, since he is not worried about the customers coming to his shop.

I bought a packet of frozen parotas from India Bazar Salisbury. When i opened the packet there were large black spots on the parotas. Being a microbiologist i identified it as contamination. I took the entire packet back to the store and they refused to identify the package from their store. I took 3 frozen packet of the parotas from their freezer and showed them the black spots on them. Even with that they refused to take it back. Their attitude was so callous . I will never go to the store or recommend any one going there. We were their regular customer.
