This place is wonderful. The building itself is beautiful and holds so many places to sit and visit.Coffee was also great.Staff seemed quiet and cold. But I kinda wonder if thats just the tone they wanted to set. Im greatful they werent like the staff at Dutch Bros.. I cant handle that type of energy. This place is lovely and Id be happy to go back
Really good coffee! I have a sensitive stomach to strong coffee and this one has sat well with me. I love the Papua New Guinea roast in particular. It has a lot of the flavors that I enjoy and as a coffee it smells amazing before and added blending. The central 9th blend is also very smooth and delicious.
VERY LITTLE OUTLETS on the normal tables they existly mainly on high top tables. Need more sockets/ outlets on the center tables. Also needs more tables. people struggle for tables and outlets here. If you want to do a bit of work and drink coffee its not a great place. If you are only here for food and coffee its pretty good.
Im a huge FAN of Publik and have been for years (although, since Covid I havent been close by to visit unfortunately). Their coffee is probably hands down the best coffee in Utah (nobody can top their espresso). Theyre food is also always good (cant top the avocado toast either). Huge fan. Always will be. You should definitely visit if you havent.
I absolutely loved it here. The vibe is amazing, I felt like I had a lot of privacy and the interior design really encouraged me creatively. The drinks and food are delicious, and Ill absolutely be coming back. Highly recommend for social activities, working, studying, relaxing, or just grabbing a drink.
The coffee here is always of great quality, and the food also high quality. It’s pricey, but it’s the price you pay for good stuff. Extremely clean and professional. The hip place to go to.
The good: coffee and food are very good 👍The bad:if you seat upstairs you wont receive a tray to move your order upstairs. In fact I was told to just “do multiple trips” up and down the stairs.I also got a huge hair on my toast 🤷🏻♂️
Great coffee shop, which also has a nice selection of teas and baked good. Their granola is the bomb!
Publik Coffee Roasters was the first place I visited my first day in Salt Lake City! Technically I went straight to Trader Joe’s off the airplane, but as far as places I got familiar with, it was Publik, the downtown and biggest location which is the original and largest location is a must for places to go to.It’s rented out all the time because of its plenty of space and being that they don’t stay open super late they can use the extra room for markets, events, pop up shops, private parties, and whatever else you could think of!We originally moved here to be part of a non denominational church plant in 2016 so this was where the “interest meetings” were held, in the evening after the coffee shop had closed ; for people curious about what the church would be like before it launched. They have avocado toast and banana and peanut butter toast. Their toast is HUGE just saying... probably can share it. They have gluten free bread as well so that’s an option. They use City Cakes peanut butter bars so they’re vegan and gluten free, that I know for sure in regards to the other items on the menu or in the bakery case I can’t comment on.Great co-working space, beautiful amazing space, they didn’t mess up on one detail in this aesthetically pleasing coffee shop!
Great place and very good coffee but chairs are very cold all the time. Hope they change them or put some pillows on it.
My local friend drove us quite a ways to get here and wow was it worth it! Such an amazing vibe and everything was delish. We ordered 2 lox toast that had fat, flavorful toast with fresh, smoked salmon, cream cheese and just the right amount of red onion and caper garnish. Another in our group had the avocado toast also served on the yummy bread with plenty of ripe avocado, a drizzle off olive oil and a dusting of sea salt.Coffees were not the usual Starbucks but instead had a bouquet of different flavors that varied based on roast and region. As it should be.Highly recommend!
Excellent little coffee shop. Wonderful ambiance. The food and beverages are absolutely excellent. I would recommend the toast, especially. I tried both the cinnamon toast and the toast with goat cheese and tomato jam. I was a little skeptical on the tomato jam, but it was awesome. I also tried the seasonal cider sorta thing, and that was absolutely amazing, probably my favorite part of the whole experience. Also, check out the unique lightbulbs on the first floor, they are very cool. All in all, an excellent experience.
Have ridden by many times and finally stopped in. Review based on only 1 visit. Had an Americano and a blueberry scone. Drink seemed to take a bit longer than I expected but it was fairly busy and I think they were making drinks for people upstairs that I couldnt see. Drink was good. Friendly staff. Was nice out, so I wish there was more outdoor seating than the few tables that appeared to be just inches in front of the parking lot bumpers. Soo many cars everywhere :-( Ill stop by again next time Im in the area!
Sooooo good!White chocolate mocha!Brown butter latte!Brie apple toast!SOOOO GOOD!
Beautiful industrial hipster vibe.Very large comfortable space,Wonderful staff.Excellent latte.
I love all of the Publik locations. The bread is amazing, Im jealous of the design in their bathrooms, I appreciate their solar panels and commitment to the planet, and they make a bitchin latte. Anything you can order on the peasant bread will leave you very happy. Salivating thinking about eating here.
Real good coffee, awesome study place for any size group and noise level. Stylish industrial aesthetic and eco-friendly
Such a good spot, for coffee, for meetings, or to get some work done. House roasted beans guarantees the coffee will be fresh and delicious, and they have plenty of seating to be able to grab a cup, settle in, and get some serious work done. Couldnt recommend enough.
Great atmosphere. Great avocado toast. Im not much one for the fruity tasting coffee. Shouldve gone with a chai tea or espresso!
What a great place for a meeting, theres great coffee ☕, tea and many yummy items. Check them out
I like the feeling this coffee shop went for ~ like an industrial work type of place. They have some cute names for their house signature coffee. This place is great if you go alone OR quick grab and chat place. Most tables are small even on the second floor unless you are lucky and get a good spot or borrow any of the study rooms.
Publik Coffee Roasters in downtown SLC is a massive warehouse set up to serve their delicious roast, known for their great toast, and ability for locals to host meetings and gatherings. The banana toast, and cappuccino was delicious and served with precision. There is an upstairs loft for dining, meetings, and gathering as well and with all that room you won’t feel boxed in.Oh and the best part, they use completely renewable energy to power the joint! Solar panels on the roof and they repurpose the heat from the roasting (fun fact that’s why you don’t smell the coffee).Cool spot for your java fix when in SLC.
Staff was super friendly and accommodating. Atmosphere -> relaxed mature and serene. I should have swung by sooner to hangout here to do whatever.I ordered a matcha latte and some apply brie honey toast which tasted pretty unique. I had forgotten to request to omit any sweeteners in the matcha and they were totally cool with remaking the drink even though that was my bad. Props to the staff.
Very nice coffee shop. The young professional vibe is chill.
Excellent bread, hand made and even GF options. The avocado toast was also wonderful, but when you slice the bread so thick, you need a thicker layer of avocado to go with. The hot chocolate was little more than warmed milk. And I even asked for extra chocolate. For a place that does so much right, the hot chocolate is terrible.Excellent location and space.
Coffee shop that runs on its solar rooftop panels and offers enclosed office rooms for rent as well as a secondary large warehouse for rent on weddings or business gatherings. They offer light eats off the menu items loads of coffee choices and some cold press juices.I will utilize this space again soon.
TL;DRCoffee: 5/5Atmosphere: 5/5WiFi: 3/5Outlets: 4/5Wait: 5/5• • •I come here three or four days a week because it is hands down my favorite place for coffee in SLC. The coffee is incredible, the atmosphere is always laid-back, and the baristas are pleasant and quick.I counted 108 seats in the whole place with 28 outlets. I’m probably off, but honestly if you need electricity, plan on a 50% chance of getting a seat where you can reach one. This also depends on the time of day you come in, of course. From 10:30a–2p, the place is absolutely packed on an average day and especially on weekends. Outside of those times, however, I don’t have trouble getting a seat with outlet access. The WiFi here is good...until it isn’t. It’s pretty fast and reliable, but probably every third visit or so the WiFi is spotty and mostly unconnected. Almost every time I’m here, there will be about a half-hour stint where the internet simply isn’t available. If your work depends on a constant internet connection, be ready for dropouts because it’s likely to happen. If you’re like me and mostly use the WiFi for emails and homework research/writing, sometimes it’s a good reminder to take a break, stretch your legs, and step outside. Still frustrating, though.IMPORTANT NOTE: I’ve only come here to use their public (haha) WiFi and seating and have never rented out one of their private meeting rooms, which I understand come with their own WiFi network only for those in that room, which will probably have less traffic and more reliability. I assume the power outlet accessibility is also better in there, but I’m not sure.Overall, I’d recommend you come here if you’re in Salt Lake and like good coffee. I love it. 👍🏼
Publik Coffee Roasters is a small coffee roastery in Salt Lake City, Utah both quality and quantity is good, offers gourmet coffee, snacks & free Wi-Fi. People also have meetings here. We tried a very different blend of coffee and me and my husband really liked it a lot. We decided there and then that its a must place to visit again and again for Coffee and a long chat. Quiet ambiance, where you can take sips relax and work. They have friendly baristas, coffee and toast and blonde mocha and much more.Wedding services for wedding ceremony and reception venues are available.Highly recommended. 👍👌👍👌👍👌
I adore the coffee & simple food available. Great place to study.
Really nice space and I absolutely love that they are solar powered! So I came in here really wanting to love it. Sadly was quite disappointed in their coffee and ability to make a decent espresso drink with soy milk. It came out all gloppy on top and gave the coffee an acrid taste. This is not because of the soy milk, its because either the barista doesnt know how to handle plant milks (they do handle differently than dairy milk), or the soy milk is bad. Ive had many, many delicious plant milk espresso drinks before when the barista knows what theyre doing. They should try getting Oatly or many of the numerous barista edition plant based milks, which produces exactly the same results as dairy milk. When Im paying $4 for a cortado, with a soy milk upcharge, at least it should be good!I was quite surprised considering they have a sustainable mission. Plant milks are so much more sustainable than dairy milks! Ditto to their menu, which had no vegan options besides an overpriced avocado toast. Meh.Icing on the cake was the unusable WiFi. Maybe because there were so many ppl there on their laptops, but it was basically useless.Again, really sad because I wanted to love this place. But I cant recommend it to anyone that wants espresso drinks with alt milks.
Great coldbrew and lox toast was super tasty!
Iced latte was great! You can smell the coffee roasters in the entire coffee shop!
Excellent place to work and enjoy the day
Perfect avocado toast & matcha kinda morning!
Fantastic coffee and delicious light eats!
Good food and coffee, fun atmosphere
Great ambiance and customer service. Ordered a speciality drink and it was good, might have been a little sweet for me, as it over powered the espresso.I wasn’t expecting an eclectic warehouse conversion, but they did well and upstairs has great mountain views.Looked like they could use more outlets or comfy chairs, but maybe better not so people don’t camp out all day. Hah!
Great location to meet with friends. Looking forward to returning with my relatives. The bill was reasonable I would say.
This location is one of my favorites. The bill was fair I would say. Atmosphere and food reminds me of Virginia Beach.
Good espresso and nice staff.
Great coffee and great vibe.
Food is great. The space is incredible. But the reason Im giving it a 3 is because the staff is less-than-friendly all three times Ive gone and my experience with the meeting room reservation could be improved. After renting a room here twice though, the communication once you arrive for the meeting room reservation and professionalism is lacking. After indicating when I wanted the food that I pre-ordered (when I reserved the meeting room) to be delivered, it never happened. I asked again, and still nothing, so I ended up getting it boxed up when we left. There was no water in the meeting room. It felt like the communication about the meeting room wasnt clear to the staff who was actually there.Having said that, Im very willing to give it another chance because the space and the food are both great.
Im sad... My toast is gone... I ate it all and now I miss it cuz it was amazing! Now on to the coffee. As expected its delicious. This is my third time here and it always beats expectations. I live in WA and travel to SLC a decent amount. I often arrive hours before I have a meeting so I camp out here. Its perfect for getting a morning worth of work done on the top floor, in a bright comfy spot with power for the computer, great tunes, and some of the best small breakfast bites and coffee around. Thanks Publik!
Really chill spot! A lot of room to work/study. Nice big windows. There’s a top floor that has tables as well as rooms that you can reserve for actual meetings. Great coffee and nice staff! Would definitely recommend checking this place out.
Great space with lots of room for those wanting to jump on their laptop. Cool vibe. Staff was wonderful. Chai tea was excellent. Mocha was very small for the price and was solid but not outstanding. If you are in the neighborhood its worth the stop.
Amazing Coffee and defiantly one of the best in the city. How ever some of the staff can be a bit stuck up because they know they make some of the best coffee. But the shop is a great place to still down and do some work and is incredibly clean.
Publik Coffee Roasters has an excellent selection of coffee. The Avocado toast is drizzled with olive oil comes on a slice of toast that gives the impression it just came fresh out of the oven. I asked to change the first drink I had ordered and was greeted with a smile from the coffee manager Josh who helped me select an alternative drink. Publik Coffee has great coffee and food but the most surprising part is the customer service. Will be stopping here any time I am in town!!
I loved this Publik Coffee, coming here multiple times a week. However, the last 6 months the new workers have made it so I dont ever want to go. The last 4 times Ive been in, my order has been wrong, and they are often out of everything. Its a little too pricey to have my order be wrong every single time. :( I just wish they would hire good people again who are competent.
Enjoyed the atmosphere here very much. The avocado toast was wonderful. I had the cold brew as well and was very impressed by the how they power the place. Very relaxed, bright. Liked the exposed production process through the glass. Industrial but inviting. Will definitely be coming here again!
What a great local jam! Excellent teas. The food is good and I’ve had over the top customer service every time been in. My new favorite!
Yeah!!! I found an amazing espresso here in SLC! Now waiting for a pour over of their Costa Rica roast. I am now happy. 😁Well, about coffee anyways. Now back to my quest for a good IPA.
Best coffee shop in the valley to get work done and chill. The vibe here is very relaxing and there are two floors for you to find a table. You might find it hard to actually find an empty spot (depending on what time of day you go), but there are several spots throughout the place with outlets to charge a laptop/phone.The food and drinks are very fresh, diverse, and inspiring (have to admit Ive gone home several times to make my own version of their toast at home).Bathrooms are decent and clean. The lighting is good and full of natural lighting.Parking is fairly easy to find within the same block.Overall, I recommend this as an enjoyable place to get some work done or meet up with someone you know.
This main Publik location has recently made some refreshing and much needed changes to their staffing that has increased professionalism, speed of service, and level of warmth to customers. I enjoy Publik because it’s usually a buzzing coworking/meeting space and has consistently great coffee, so this improvement to staff has helpful! If you are in need of a work space, be mindful that it’s nearly impossible to take work calls from this environment. Its a warehouse so it’s extremely echoey and loud. Also, the conference rooms all have to be rented and the staff are very particular about not letting people use them unless they’ve been reserved.
This place has been a favorite spot of mine for a while—good coffee and friendly staff. 4/5 stars because there’s always a big line (getting busier as time goes—great for the owners, not so much for customers) and frequently nowhere to sit. My coffee was also barely warm by the time I got it. I suppose that’s what you should expect on a Saturday at 11 am. I won’t be going back but I still recommend this place if you don’t mind waiting.
