Fantastic coffee and matcha and the most consistently good espresso drinks that Ive had anywhere in salt lake. Its my favorite spot for any coffee and they have super good pastries too if you can manage to snag one before they are sold out. Well never stop going to Three Pines. Staff is always super great. Nice outdoor seating area during the warm parts of the year. We have been going here for years and will never stop.

This shop has the atmosphere of a city coffee shop. Very artsy and modern, but doesn’t feel very warm.Due to COVID, they have a sign on the door and it says stay out here until we wave you in. We waited over 10 minutes and nobody waved us in, once it was empty of guests - we just entered. There was only one couple in before us.The staff was not very friendly with us and the drinks were just mediocre. Also the small is SMALL. Glad we stopped by and supported local, but we will try a different place next time.

Not the best experience, the milk tasted burnt and we couldn’t taste the espresso flavor at all, this coming from two who drink a lot of quality coffee. The shop was little and cute but overall the experience left something to be desired.

This has long been my favorite coffee shop - the best mochas in all the land! I love when I have a moment and sit and read my book while sipping my coffee. The atmosphere is very pleasant with something enjoyable always playing on the record player. It is worth the cost of the coffee to support a small, local business with employees who know what theyre doing! I visit whenever I can.

This is a pretty cool little coffee shop in SLC. The menu and store are very simple and neat. We ordered a couple of lattes and our daughter ordered the hot chocolate. The vanilla lattes were ok and the hot chocolate was way too sweet. Im not sure if there was anything added, but it was overly sweet. The staff was nice and friendly and we really like the simple layout of the store. If you want to go to a nice local coffee shop, this is your place.

Decent shop! Good skills in terms of foam and pours from the barista. Great vibes from the music playing and atmosphere. Very much one of those hipster coffee shops. Personally the espresso is a bit too acidic for my tastes, but I know these days people like that. All in all, small place that can get crowded easily. I wish the baristas wore masks since the delta variant is still spreading and they see how many people a day in that small space?Price was also pretty high for the amount of coffee you get, which Im fine seeing in a place downtown thats local, but just something to note. There are no syrups if anyones looking for flavors, they dont even do a mocha. This is definitely the place for espresso lovers looking for a more acidic and sweet taste from the beans. Didnt need sugar in mine. Coffee is akin to what Publik does.I would be interested in seeing more information on the beans used, possibly with an informational paper posted on the walls or glass barrier telling the location or type of bean at least? Would just be nice to know and make waiting time a bit easier.

Three pines is truly special. My husband and I had the pleasure to enjoy their coffee in espresso, cortado and cold-brew form while on vacation in slc this past week. The staff was super nice and dang do they know how to make coffee. They measure their grind and single source their beans which are then freshly roasted and also for sale. My husband and I travel for work and it’s hard to find a decent cup of coffee even in large cities. Slc, you’re so lucky to have these guys in your backyard!

Reviews are misleading, and dont reflect the quality of the establishment. My partner and I were not impressed with the service here. The coffee is decent but not as good as we were expecting. We ordered a raspberry/ apricot & cream cheese pastry and they gave us the display item to eat. The pastry looked like it has been sitting out for hours (possibly days). They do not do specialty drinks and have a limited menu (if youre into that kind of thing). The atmosphere is okay, it is definitely a place for college students looking to be bougie before class.I would not recommend this place because of the poor customer service, low quality food, and what seems to be lazy employees.

A must go to place for all coffee lovers, I give this sweet spot a 5 star because of their delicious espresso. I have tried both their single origin (a little tart the way it should be) & their blended espresso (the blended was my personal favorite). Micah, the barista will take great care of you- he recommended their Soul Masala Chai & he was very correct in his guidance. I’m from Austin TX & am taking back their little canister of the Soul powder back home for my home coffee bar. 🖤✨

I dont really review cafes as Im a local roaster, and feel like it would be biased to do so. That being said, there is only one other shop in UT ill send my customers to in slc as a recommendation. Three pines. I havent been in personally, I always end up waiting in the car so we can park. But a few of the baristas here visit our cafe regularly and they are amazing folks that I have no reservations sending my customers in for.The espressos i get (to go) are always on point, and I can tell they are really taking the time to serve perfectly executed drinks, and with amazing attitudes and smiles, my only gripe is that we cant get them to serve our bean as perfectly as all the other roasters that are lucky enough to be represented by this awesome cafe. Keep up the work team, and dont forget to swing by for a coffee next time you are in o-town. You know who we are! ;)
