Nice store especially if you are looking for Indian cuisine ingredients. They have the best samosas. There’s two types of samosas they have. The potato one and the Spanish one. It always tastes good. The potato samosa for 99 cent, and the Spanish samosa for 60 cents I think. Don’t forget to ask for the green chutney.
They take advantage as they are only ones near the U where most of the students visit. Not many offers. Limited options. Also they do not label the prices, so we need to ask the person on counter, who at times isnt much of help. Limited veggies options too. Was better few years ago.
I just got done shopping. I walk into the store to check out something on the counter. This young cashier appears and asks me what do you want? It came off rude to me. Not hello, welcome, or how can I help? I just let it go. Then when I came back to the counter to check out my items, he decided to take a phone call instead of expeditiously scanning and bagging the items. He even scanned them single-handedly while laughing with whomever he was talking to. I dont think a little courtesy would have been too much to ask for.And thank God that my car wasnt parked far away or one of my shopping bags would have broken through. I was parked like 20 feet away.I gave thwo stars for less than exemplary customer service. The groceries in the store are fine. Its easy to find things in the store. Dont have a problem with the goods.
Best Indian Grocery store. By far the best customer service around. They also are very inexpensive and I find that the prices on the items can be half the price of other grocery stores. If you want good service and high quality Indian groceries, this is the spot!
We love this independent market. Our regular purchases are raw redskin peanuts, red lentils, dry spices, fresh herbs / coconut / veg, and my kid always gets their veggie samosas at the checkout. They also have a lot of hard-to-find ingredients, fresher and with better prices than big supermarkets. The service is always kind and helpful.
Very nice staff, will answer questions and provide gentle advice
The best store in SLC to get ingredients for all your Indian food. Great selection. Owner and employees are super friendly and helpful.
Henna, Indian groceries, and lots of good items you can’t really find anywhere else!
Awesome store. Nice location and they have all the goods you will need and of good quality.
They have a great selection of Indian spices and food I can’t find anywhere else in SLC. Their hot ready to eat Samosas are really great.
Easy to go place in SLC for indian groceries.
Small store footprint. But usually well stocked. Tends to be busy as lot of students live around. Cashier and the employees are nice to interact with as well as helpful. They’ll note to get you your order if they’re out and have to check it in their store warehouse.
Shop-N-Go is the place you want to go. Great location, great customer service, and great prices.
Recommended .... business is well established, every thing fresh, all variety!
Fantastic little shop. Great selection for its size, and very friendly employees!
The clerk, who claimed to be the owner, would not serve me even though I entered at 8:53 and wore a mask. The business hours are clearly labeled as: 11 am to 9 pm. The two folks in line and shopping were men. This place is often heavily biased against women and the clerks often treat me with disdain and loathing. I do not understand the extremely unfair, unkind, misogynistic attitude of this business. If you want to support folks who are ethical and fair to all, please do not shop here if you can find an alternative.
Small store but packed with lots of goodies!! The samosas are cheap and freaking delicious.
The store is usually stocked well but be aware for expired items. The cashier isnt fully aware of the price of many items so check your bill for incorrect charge.
We used to go there. We like their products.
They have not updated the website, I went there but it has said close at 11 pm, but Is has been closed earlier, thay should update the details what they are doing currently
I went here last year when I was visiting my Brother who lives in SLC. The samosas were really tasty and identical to those back home. I am from Mumbai and it is very similar to D-Mart here.
Great Location. Good Quality products. Reasonably priced. The owner needs to install proper ventilation. The smell of the products and especially, smell of cooked samosas sticks to the clothes even if we come out of the store which is not always good.
The employees are super friendly. They fill up stock on time. I basically got everything that I was looking for from spices to grains to vegitables.
When customer is speaking to you, please listen . dont walk away.If you are closing before the time given in the app, do let the customer walking in know. We are humans and can understand it.Be courteous . The customers dont ask for royal treatment, just be courteous !
Our favourite place to get all Indian groceries ready to eat food tea coffee and even small household utensils. The shop has all you need for daily cooking needs..Just wish the rice was available in smaller quantitiesIt also has beer and cold drinksThe small samosas are tasty
Over priced than their other store in Sandy. e.g. same item price of $3.99 vs $1.99 at Sandy.
Well equipped grocery store that caters to the needs of south-asians. You can order Indian snacks for parties. The vegetables are fresh and of variety. The store keepers are cordial. You can also buy almost fresh mutton and chicken.
This place has everything I need to cook. The guys behind the counter are good to pass a story or joke. All around good experience. Convenient location.
A great little market. Most any spice you can imagine, at reasonable prices. They have asafoetida to balance all the amazing smelling curries. All kinds of rice and flours, too. The place is packed with goodies.
Conveniently located. Stays open late on weekdays. Has a good collection of frozen Indian dishes and snacks. Very friendly and helpful staff.
Small store with limited options for Indian groceries. May be I am spoiled with all the options we have in Central NJ, but this place has limited indian items. The funny thing is this was the closest place we could find near the airport and north of SLC.
Wonderful location, friendly staff, and incredible prices. If youre making Indian food and need spices, this is definitely the place to go!
CUSTOMERS BEWARE OF EXPIRED PRODUCTS!!Time and again ive come across items in this shop that have expired dates but still are on the shelf like atta, milk powder, chocolates. Otherwise the store options are pretty good but despite reminding the owners i still come across expired products time and again.
Has all the authentic Indian ingredients I need to make those delicious Indian dishes. Good service and fairly priced.
It’s a good store. On some days stocks aren’t available. Prices are a bit higher .
On March 31 2018.I was there shopping, and they had this water container, and I drank 2 small cup of water, and lady with glasses yell at me for drinking that water and said, those water are for those who buy fast food, and I thought to myself, who body wants to treated in this manner, let alone, Im customer. In any event, I was really surprise by her attitude of human nature and I just replied oh Im sorry implusly . Then, I walked-out and never going back there again. Really Bad experience, that I never hoped of.In addition, On some days stocks aren’t available. Prices are a bit higher .
Its a nice place where you can find an indian familly there. They are very friendly. I bought garam masala spice for rice and it has a very very nice smell. I didnt try it yet but Im sure it will taste good. I recommend it for peopel how like spicy food and want to try cooking indian food.
Helpful and courteous staffs. Will find most of the spices you will need.
I have had nothing but good experiences with this place. Great place to get naan (5 packs for 10$)
I go to this store pretty frequently, back in 2009 it was little cheaper then what it is today. They have a lots of indian merchandise but pretty expensive. Since, There are lots of new indian stores opening in Salt Lake City this days, I suggest you to visit other stores to save some money.
I found all the ingredients I needed there for an Indian dish Im going to try out this week - except one (cashew paste) but I can at least try to make that one myself. Staff was helpful and friendly.
Very good store.Prefer fresh vegetables
I was a frequent customer. I bought an item I wasnt happy with. The receipt clearly states they refund or exchange the item. I asked for an exchange the employee refused. He acted like it wasnt his item and reciept. They need to take customer service lessons before opening or hiring employees.
Started cooking Indian curry dishes and needed quite a few spices and other things. Ghee, paneer, fenugreek seeds, and other things. Any spice needed for your dishes, theyll have it. Friendly staff too.
Good selection of Indian groceries, prices could have been better though.
Great store! Great variety! Great prices!
Friendly staff, variety of spices.Decent options for Indian sweets and grocery.
Expensive, rude shop keepers who are rude to anyone who is not from their community. Don’t want to go their again.
I would like to visit ane time
Decent groceries around SLC downtown area
Very good and keepers are helpful and frieny.
Good place to buy Indian grocery
This store charged us extra money. And sent a boy to spy us when shopping.
My friend purchased an item there, but she opened at home and found out whats inside was not what the package was labeled. When she returned it, the staff advised her on trying it at home, which she already did. The staff then refused to refund to her because the item was opened.
Closed before 11pm 10/24/2019
