Update 1/24: No contact from Jordan. Questions and comments deleted. Going to mechanic next week. Vehicle has been just sitting. Have contacted the Utah DMV to file a fraud complaint. Will be pursuing legal action/small claims court. No integrity. Beware.Original Review:Bought a beautiful 2000 Excursion 7.3L with 159K miles from Diesel Deals. Richard from Stroker Diesel (shop next door) installed a Hydra chip and was easy to work with. I bought based on a YouTube video, photos and multiple phone and text conversations with the owner Jordan. No leaks and no problems was expressed multiple times. I paid a premium for this vehicle.Truck arrived and I was excited. We pulled it off the semi and immediately, I noticed an issue. The tires were rubbing on the leaf springs to a point that the truck would not move. Had to figure out the limited ability to turn. I contacted Jordan right away and this was his response via text:“I drove the truck a lot and only noticed a little rub on sharp turns. Im sure spacers or wheels with a more positive offset would cure that.”Really? You never mentioned the issue and now you are mentioning that it’s really not a big deal, since only noticed on sharp turns. You also mention a solution with no offer to cure the problem. I paid for “no issues”. I realize this is an 18 year old vehicle and issues can and will happen, but this was obviously an issue prior to purchase. I expect to be reimbursed for the 2.5” BORA spacers that I purchased to cure the issue ($650), plus install. The other issue was a delay in getting the title and paperwork over. Not a big deal, since it had been snowing and I understand that. It caused me to park the vehicle for several days without driving, since it was not registered. I put on maybe 40 miles from the delivery date and parked in my apartment parking spot with no previous oil stains or leaks in the space.Yesterday (Sat) we took some friends and drove up to the mountains for a short dirt road excursion/camping trip and came back today. Put on 250 miles for the trip. When I parked, I noticed an oil puddle under the vehicle. I crawled under the truck to investigate. Photos shown on this review were within 10 minutes of arrival home. There is a puddle (not all of it is fresh) from an obvious oil leak. I also took a photo of the motor showing oil dripping. I contacted Jordan about this and here was his text response:“There wasnt a single leak when it left, which Richard (mechanic at Stroker Diesel) can attest to this. If there was a leak when it got there im sure you would have said something about it. I saw your post on Facebook questioning your confidence in Diesel Deals but i dont see how i can be blamed for a leak that popped up after 300 miles.”A few comments to the above response... I did not expect an oil leak, since it was advertised that here were none, so I had not checked in the initial 40ish miles. Upon return home from our camping trip, there is an obvious puddle. Some is older (pre-camping trip) and a few drops were fresh (within 10-15 minutes of parking the vehicle). This is obvious that the leak DID NOT occur on my 250 mile trip. If Jordan wants to say that the leak occurred after delivery, then it would have occurred within the first 40 miles of delivery.Expectations: I deal with reviews like this for a living. This situation is clear that both issues should be resolved by the seller. Jordan should reimburse my purchase of the BORA spacers plus install and should refer me to reputable diesel shop near me to have the oil leak looked at and repaired. I’ll await his comments and or contact with me and will update this review as time progresses. I am sure Jordan will have integrity and do the right thing.Thanks. Chris Smith, Los Angeles, California.
I bought a 96 F-250 from Jordan yesterday. He was very up front with the condition of the truck and gave me the download on what he had done to it since buying it. At first I almost pulled the plug due to some of these reviews but am glad that I did not. When I told him I was not going to buy it due to some of the reviews he fully sympathized and suggested I look at the shop he takes his truck too. After some debating I decided to move forward and come have a look at the truck and bought it. Jordan was very friendly and did not hover over me while I was inspecting the truck. It was a very low pressure buying situation. He gave me the keys and I took it for a spin, tested the 4wd, cruise and everything else. He even answered some questions for me when I called him on the test drive. Looking forward to see what this thing can do on the open road back to CA. If there is a truck at Diesel Deals that you are wanting, definitely go check it out. Its worth your time.
I purchased my 2001 Platinum Edition F250 4 x 4 short bed from diesel deals. Excellent communication over the phone. I flew in from Florida. Once there I went over the truck. I found the truck as described. I did however find a small issue with the radiator overfill tank. Once mentioned they looked at it and replace it immediately. I must say I bought this truck pretty much sight unseen with a lot of faith in diesel deals. They delivered! A Flawless 3000 mile trip home to Florida. It ran perfect and gave me no issues at all. I would definitely buy from diesel deals I would recommend you do also.Thank you diesel deals for a great truck and an excellent experience,Anthony Stumpp
I just bought a 97 Ford f250 off Diesel Deals. This is the first time Ive ever done something like this and was extremely nervous. I purchased this truck from out of state sight unseen. I contacted Jared with a couple of questions. He was very helpful and straight forward. No misrepresentation at all. He followed through with everything he said he would do and more. Truck was shipped to my door and was beautiful. I would recommend this dealer to anyone. Thanks again.!
I recently bought a 1997 F-350 from Jordan the entire time from the first phone call I made to even now 3 weeks after purchasing the vehicle and needing a little information on small things he has been very helpful and straightforward with everything I flew from Arkansas and drove the truck home roughly 1300 miles and only stopped for 2hrs and never had a single issue so I’d say it’s in it for the long haul anyway Jordan is a very nice and honest guy and i would highly recommend buying from him
Picked up a 97 F350 from this guy and absolutely LOVE it!!! Jordan was awesome! Worked with me because I had to fly in from phoenix to pick up the truck. Made it all super smooth and easy. I would recommend this shop to all ford diesel lovers.
Bought a 2000 ford f250 with a 7.3 from diesel deals last year. Jordan was very helpful, prompt with everything and we had it hauled to us in California. Weve had to put a little work into but nothing more than regular stuff that goes out on older trucks. Its a shame to see negative reviews because Jordan had nothing to hide and the whole transaction was great. We love our truck and love diesel deals!! We will be buying again from Jordan in the future. Thank you so much for such a great deal and wonderful service!!!!
Owner knows his stuff about Diesels. Great guy, makes sure the trucks he sells are in better shape then when he gets them. Super happy with purchase
This is my first review ever. Because I don’t like putting my business out so everyone can judge. However I am doing this review to attempt to set some things straight. It would appear from all the other reviews that Jordan either gets rated as 5 stars (but they would give 6 if they could) or 1 star (but they give 0 if they could), with only one review in the middle. I had been looking for a specific truck for years and when one was finally available through diesel deals, I felt I had to react quickly. After having read some of the “would give 0 stars reviews” I was a little discouraged. Nonetheless I pursued and contacted him. Worked out the details and was eventually able to purchase the truck of my dreams. Now, having said all that, there are things to be aware of. Sad that I have to say it, but based on reviews I’ve read, apparently it needs to be said. Jordan is a business man. He runs a business. He is not running a charity. He is, however, a really nice guy and conducts himself professionally. He was more than willing to help out in ways that were a bit unorthodox. He picked me up from the airport in the truck I was looking to buy (he didn’t have to do that and could have made me find transportation to his business). He allowed me to pretty much go over it with a fine toothed comb. Anyone that says they got jipped from rust or oil or mechanical issues obviously needs to reevaluate how they conduct a vehicle inspection. Was there rust, yes, but it was minor cosmetic rust and there was no deep structural rust, which is what I was worried about. Were there oil leaks, yes, but when I pointed them out he said that he’d have them fixed before delivery, and he was true to his word, he did, and he drove it for a few days afterwards to make sure he had fixed them (again not something he had to do). Were there mechanical issues, yes, but they were minor ones, like the second gear synchro is bad but it was not hidden from me at all. I feel like it shouldn’t need to be said, but apparently it does, that when you purchase a 20+, or even a 10+ year old truck, it’s going to have some deficiencies, and all of mine were common issues with a 22 year old truck. And when I made the decision to buy the truck knowing all of that, it wasn’t him that jipped me on anything, that was the decision that I made, but the part that I appreciated was that he facilitated giving me all the facts before I made my decision. He didn’t pressure at all. He let me have all the time I needed, away from everyone so that I wasn’t distracted or felt pressured. And he did that on a weekend even though it meant I was taking him away from his family for a little bit (another courtesy that I was not owed but he did anyways). All in all, he was true to his word at every point along the way. I was nervous a few times about the large quantity of money that I was delivering without the benefit of being able to drive it away (I live a dozen states away and couldn’t take the time off). But he had it delivered exactly as was discussed. He had the title sent exactly as discussed. I have zero complaints about him or his business and would do business with him again if the need ever arose. In fact I have already referred him to one of my friends who is looking for the exact same truck (we were actually looking at the same truck without knowing it, I just happened to make my decision quicker). 6/5 would recommend.
Just did a online, over the phone, emailed and lots of texting with J. Armstrong of Diesel Deals LLC. I was nervous at first and he took the time to answer all my questions and took more pictures of locations on the truck when I asked for them. He was very upfront to my liking and I purchased a truck from him. I requested his assistance, and he coordinated the delivery to my location in Texas and kept me informed all the way. This was a As Is Sale and I dont believe I could be more satisfied than I am. No misrepresentation that jumps out at me. And the work they did to make the truck worth the higher price is well worth it to me. I am a very happy customer.
Dont trust jordan
Walk away.... this place is crooked in every way. Truck was stated to be clean with no rust. Truck had undisclosed hail damage, rust on the doors and cheap paint work. Also stated to have no mechanical issues. So far the truck has had oil leaks, leaking axle seals, bad ICP sensor, compromised wiring to name a few!!! Title took over 45 days to arrive without a good reason or excuse to the delay. The deals are not good - save yourself a lot of heartache and buy somewhere else.
DO NOT BUY from here!!! We purchased a truck that was advertised as one owner, clear title, and no leaks. Jordan sent us the wrong title, that had a repo on it that was not disclosed, it wasnt the most current title. I had him investigated my the Utah DMV by filing a complaint. The investigation revealed the truck had actually changed hands three times. Once he receives his money you will be relegated to the very bottom of his priority list. Only AFTER the investigator contacted him, did he get all the paperwork we needed in a timely fashion. Prior to that he was taking weeks to get us what we needed and even then it was not the correct paperwork. We purchased the truck in late June and JUST received all the correct paper. The AC blew cold the first day, then hot. There was a leak that we paid to repair. He obviously filled it with freon before shipping it.
Like so many others the trucks are overvalued. But they are polite and very helpful here.
Jordan was awesome to work with. Flew from minnesota and drove home with my truck, It ran wonderful. The used truck business is a tuff one, but Jordan handles it like a proffesional. Nothing negative to say about my experience, as for other negative reviews people need to understand it is risky to buy any used vehicle and they are always gonna need to maintained. Even immediately after your purchase. Know what you are looking at and the risks involved when buying, it is not the sellers fault. He doesnt hide nothing. But even as close as these vehicles are inspected Im sure when diesel deals purchases them, it is very difficult to find and see every little issue that can and will arrive on any used vehicle. Thanks again Jordan!!!
TERRIBLE! STAY AWAY! Bought vehicle online and when it was delivered, it was rusted, headlight mounts were busted, etc... I would not recommend buying from these folks.
Jordan and Diesel Deals are shystersBought a truck that was shown online to be in amazing condition, no dents and only a few minor scratches. The truck went up and i knew it would not last long so i jumped on it and offered him asking and ended up wiring the money that day. He wasted my time for a week telling me he could have it on a carrier and to me within a few days. After waiting a week and being told that he still had no idea when it could be picked up i opted to fly out and drive it back. Once i saw it, i found that the scratches were vert noticeable, there were a few dents, interior pieces, were broken, drivers door had cracks and missing parts. paint was chipped from end to end and even a large piece fell of the passenger door. The vehicle had a loud ticking noise the whole way home that ended up being a massive exhaust leak (cost me a whole $50 to have a muffler shop cut the stripped bolts and nuts and fix it, should have been done by them). He said it had no leaks. Leaks in my driveway everyday. I was going to buy a Chip for the truck and i knew they did a transmission swap from Auto to Manual. I texted him if they changed the PCM when they did it which he replied that they did. I sent the truck into to be serviced because i questioned if they even changed the oil while they had it. I was told it was throwing 4 transmission codes and that was due to it having the Auto PCM still in the truck. I paid to have a new chip and custom tunes done. This fixed other problems with the truck that included cold and hot loping starts and a surging feeling at low rpms in higher gears. on top of all that it took me 30 days to get my title. Jordan is a dishonest businessman. He lied about the vehicles condition, lied about getting it shipped out quickly, lied about the leaks, lied about the PCM being swapped. I could go on and on about things i have found about the truck that should have been fixed at the price he wanted for a vehicle that has been gone through and it ready to go. The truck had little things like the air filter was caked in dust and hadnt been changed in 10 years and had a piece of PVC with a screw drilled in holding it together. It was a whole 40-50 dollars on Amazon for a new filter, nice elbow and hose rubbers and clamps. DONT BUY ANYTHING FROM DIESEL DEALS AT THE PRICE HE WANTS. HE IS OVERSELLING WHAT HE HAS DONE, MAKE SURE YOU SEE WHATEVER HE SELLING IN PERSON.
The issues keep building!! Dont buy here. Dont but from here!!!!!!! BEWARE!! Bought a truck with in past month. 2001 f250 easier to say whats good then bad. Oil is leaking all over the front where camshaft pulley is, was good for a week or two due to some gunk sprayed on it. Truck is letting out a brown smoke. Keep putting money into the truck and find more issues and codes with check engine light. A few shocks are blown, lots of rust, the bed was cheaply covered but lots of rusting you couldnt tell because a new plastic bed cover was put over it, but the rust and gunk is still there. Tranny fluid was browing/blacking oil was solid black, tranny was slipping, lots of broken parts you can not see in the videos. So far after buying the truck and shipping here I have to do brakes, intercooler boots, ebps tube and sensor, all fluid flushes, vacuum pump is dead because no vacuum and brakes are hissing when pedal is compressed and breaks are squeaking, engine might be blown and the list goes on. Dont buy off Internet!! Learned my lesson. So far I am 3,100 into the truck and price is still going up! If anyone knows Utah law please get ahold of me, I want some to be covered. Update the injectors are starting to fail, lets see how many go! So far its #7 and wiring! Jordan Armstrong rips people off!!!
