Very great ice cream! Loved that it was vegan too. We got the Berry Sundae and Honeynut. I wish the berry sundae was a bit more berry-y. Overall very good. The Honeynut was very good! The honeycomb was good: strong flavor, not too crunchy. I just wish there was a bit more of it however. You order online. No samples.Honeynut: vegan vanilla! soft serve + dark chocolate dip + honeycomb candy + peanut praline.Berry Sundae: blackberry + vegan vanilla! TWIST + waffle cone bits + salted caramel + whipped coconut creamHighly recommend this place!!
I loved it here. I was able to get vegan ice cream, and sorbet that tasted delicious! Staff was super friendly and got the order out quickly! Treat yourself, give them a visit for tons of cool flavors, some ice cream sandwiches, or sorbet! One thing though, how did they get the truck inside?!
I went to this place thinking it would be good. They still have a mask requirement to order. 😠😤. Well I got their root beer float with the vegan vanilla ice cream. And it was absolutely terrible . Even the straw they give for the drink had a terrible texture. Highly recommend going to a grocery store and buying normal ice cream.. if I feed this ice cream to my pet duck. 🦅. It would have died of terrible taste. If Cancel culture is real. Cancel Normal®️ Ice Cream.
Went here on a whim with my buddy because we were craving ice cream. Having never been here before I wasnt sure what to expect. I ordered the Oreo milk flavor + marscapone dipped in caramel. Although it tasted pretty good the normal size was very large and overwhelming. A smaller size would have definitely been better and more manageable. The flavors themselves were good. I loved the marscapone but the Oreo milk tasted more like just plain old chocolate ice cream. I would like to come back here and try their other flavors and see how they compare. Definitely a unique place and worth at least stopping by once.
Normal is an institution at this point. I stop by this Trolley Square location or their shop on 9th more than Id like to admit. I love seeing what composed cones they current offer (as the menu changes regularly), plus I love their taco and bars/sandwiches. When I cant make it to the shop, I pick up a pint at Harmons.
I have frequented this location quite a few times over the last few years--most flavors have been incredible. There have been some combos that werent my favorite, but I understand what the concept is and am so glad this local business exists! Great branding, great vibe, and most importantly--great ice cream.
This place is a salt lake treasure! Whenever they announce a new menu, I’m excited to try the new concoctions. I recommend getting the iced coffee with a scoop of vanilla on a hot day!
So delicious. Everything is amazing. Cold brew with earl grey is too good
Limited flavors but very good. Chocolate dip was great.
Its... Meh. I was super excited to try their ice cream taco, but it was just pre-packaged. I wont be going here again.
They sure aren’t friendly here. Kinda feels like they shouldn’t even be open. You have to order online and they actually have a sign up that says if you can’t follow their instructions they won’t serve you. Feel bad if anyone comes without a cell phone or isn’t savvy enough to order online. Pretty hefty prices and the ice cream was just ok. Overall disappointed.
YOU MUST TRY A SAMPLE FIRST (But unfortunately samples not available during COVID!). As others have noted, their flavors are often extremely salty, to the point of being inedible. I tried blackberry, could not eat it. Likewise, my kids could not finish their Vegan Vanilla, which is saying something. I understand they are about experimenting with new flavors, offering something different, being funky, etc. but caveat emptor--they charge premium prices but can have some big misses. We wont return until we can sample again.
Absolutely delicious - wish I could give it more stars. Flavors are unique and subtle, not overwhelming or in your face. The combination cones are thought out and executed to perfection. I appreciate that they are taking extra precautions during COVID and have you order online and pick up at the truck so you don’t have to wait in line around a lot of people. Can’t wait to go back!
Delicious ice cream that is NOT worth the hassle. You have to order online but there are no instructions. So had to figure that out just to order. Price is also high for soft serve. $7 for a soft serve with dip and sprinkles. Sorry, not a repeat for me. Better places, for less, and greater appeal visually. Gateway Sweet Taco is better.
Excellent spot to spend time alone or talk business. service is typically good. they have so many great reviews for a reason.
This place came highly recommended so I had high expectations for this place and honestly, it just tasted like any other ice cream spot I’ve been to.
Placed an order at 3:40 p.m. at 3:45, she finally got up from the desk. She had been writing and what looked like a journal. Then she decided to help some other customers that were having some ordering issues. All the while, we needed to get to our appointment at 4:00 p.m. I walked up and said please cancel our order. Not good customer service at all. She seemed put off. There are no other people and no other orders, I just dont understand why it was so difficult.
The best ice cream in Salt Lake, hands down. Funky/unique flavors, and VEGAN options! They even sell lactaid which cracks me up.Menus are changed monthly, and this location (the lab) has totally different flavors than the store! Try them both out, and come often!!
Always 5 stars. The flavors rotate just about once a month so I make sure to go (at least) once a month so I can always try the newest flavors. You can find all flavor information super easily on Instagram and their website. They always have vegan options which is super nice because there is something for everyone to enjoy! I always take my friends/family from out of town here when they come in town. It’s a salt lake must!
My wife had been begging me to try this place with her for about a month. When we finally went it was amazing... She ordered the London fog (earl grey soft serve with bergamot cotton candy.) I ordered the passion fruit and earl grey ice cream bar. Both were amazing. So amazing in fact that while we sat there enjoying how delicious the ice cream was I might have realized how depressing my life is. The sharpness of the passion fruit literally brought into focus how boring my day to day is, and the luxurious smoothness of the bergamot cotton candy made me realize how much I just want to curl up and sleep the rest of the week. It was a beautifully depressing experience sitting in a mostly empty mall mid pandemic enjoying something as amazing as what theyve created. We will definitely be going back, but not until after I recover.
This is our favorite place to get ice cream! We drive from Ogden to Salt Lake just for this ice cream. They have such creative flavors and combinations for the bars and composed cones. We look forward to the new menu every month.
Had dairy free ice cream, good for somebody with a dairy allergy.
So delicious 😋
My ice cream tasted like butter and nothing else, i don’t recommend you to come. Good concept of business, bad quality product.
Saw the menu and the prices. Walked away
Seeing the low star reviews on here is pretty hilarious. Too unique? Not kid friendly? Sprinkles were too chunky cuz they are homemade? What, do you also think that ketchup is too spicy? This place is dope. Constantly rotating different and creative flavors, kind staff, sandwiches and ice cream cakes are delish. If you like ice cream and want to support a local business that is involved in the community, this is your spot.
Great ice cream. Would of gave 5 stars but they had an internet issue and we stood waiting for half hour before going and asking only to find they had never got my order.
My favorite ice cream! Every time I come.by the trolley square I have to get some ice cream. The ladys who work here are always super nice!
Tasty and unique flavors, but I’m partial to hard ice cream.
Ordered the coco puff milk soft serve with sprinkles - the soft serve was okay, nothing wrong with it; cost vs value I’d say we over paid $1 or $2. What really lowered the rating for us were the sprinkles - I know they’re optional but it sounded yummy so we added them. They were essentially chunks of sugar and made the experience almost inedible. If you go I’d stay away from the sprinkles
Definitely not a kid friendly place. The flavors are too unique. And way to pricey. There was 12 of us and all of us were disappointed and thought it’s was disgusting.
The food was so savory. There was quick, helpful, and friendly service.
Ice cream is not that great, but the service was def bad.
This is funtastic
Not good :(. Overpriced and should not be called ice cream. It should be called salt cream.
Ice cream was good, customer service was terrible.
The apricot black tea was amazing!! I got the 3$ cup and it came with quite a bit!! Will definitely come again 😊
You need to update your hours. We drove out of the way to come here and hours have changed to open at 5pm
Visited on a thursday. prices were decent.
Creative flavors, great ice cream tacos!!
Nice
They Dont take cash
