It is a great grocery store. A big selection, but not so crowded. The waiting lines that check out did not take more than 5 minutes to get to the front of the line. Very good prices.

I like this little store. Seems to be the closest place to shop for me. Would like to have an HEB near the base. Hate to drive towards the mall for everything. This city seems focused on keeping business towards that side of town. So downtown is better for my store to go shopping at. Wal Mart is to far for me to care about. So Food King is my main store for those home steaks, beer, and snacks that my family depends and loves. 98% of my food is from here. The rest is at dollar general. Best prices in town and often on par with HEB. Only thing missing is the sushi bar.

Never a problem with store, good sale prices.

They are very reasonable on their meat prices, the store is clean, and very helpful employees, they have a pharmacy, bakery, and all in all a very nice place to do your shopping for groceries.

Every time I go to this store I have really bad experiences. Customer service should be improved always answer with attitude.

Far toany kids employed but not working. Playing their rap music while stocking shelves. Loaded 3 cases of water only for the door employee to watch and offer no help.

Neat place, but as a fresh area manager for a different store, this place shouldnt be allowed to sell produce if they arent going to properly care for it, the tomatoes were VERY badly spoiled, and pretty much everything else was too!! Its not safe to sell things like that and it really gives you a bad image! Too bad top because other then that you have a pretty cool place!!

Store has an excellent feel and look inside. I never really got the %10 tax thing but the end price was decent. Unfortunately these are going out of business. Probably being turned into more unnecessary Walmarts.

Usually only a couple cashiers, so the wait is long. Some things are inexpensive, but then they add the 10% tax. Meat is usually a pretty good buy. Overall, i guess its not bad for a store thats changed owners so many times. At least there is a grocery store on this side of town.

Best place to shop in the san angelo area

I only in to Food King to get proscriptions. Its the closest pharmacy to my home. It is too expensive to buy groceries there. They say they are selling you groceries at cost and then tack an extra 10% on at the register. This is a gimmick. I can get my food for less at HEB and not pay the extra 10%. Plus HEB has better meat and produce

The pharmacy has to be the most waste your time place ever. Get told one thing and show up and all of a sudden nothing

Nice folks, friendly and quick. Helpful if you need to find something. We save money there and havr noticed several others do too.

I ALWAYS use the Walmart app to compare prices. Unless Food King has something on sale, Walmart/HEB/Market Street are always cheaper.

Its the only grocery store on the east side of town. I stop there when Im across town. The prices are funny. If something is priced on $5.00, no matter what it is add 10% at the register! I use to run stores and back then that is illegal. Just price it for the real price and become human!

HEB and Walmart is cheaper food king only has cheaper meat its not the king of good prices

I didnt know the Bryant store was closed when over to the other one downtown and the prices are good the place is pretty clean the staff might be a little different the cashier never looked up barely smoked and when I tried to back on groceries she kept moving the bags

I went in to purchase water and Gatorade with my mother at this location. The only acknowledgment I received from the cashier was her asking if I was paying with food stamps. I let her know I was not. I’m not sure if this is something that all cashiers ask customers who shop at this particular store, but I felt it was inappropriate and rude. No cashier at any store in San Angelo have ever looked at me and assumed I am paying with food stamps. This will be my last time purchasing anything from this location.

Since the remodel to Food King, it is a really nice grocery store. Grand opening prices were outstanding. And staff was very friendly and helpful in navigating around the new store

I walked in with my service dog and before stepping three feet in was being yelled at by the manager. I tried to explain the law and how it worked but she wouldn’t listen. When the cops told her she was in the wrong she suddenly disappeared.
