The instructors were great! We were still dealing with COVID restrictions, then the Blizzard of 2021 delayed online learning and chilled the waters delaying the dives, but SOS kept everyone up to date on scheduling and changes and worked with our schedules. The instructors were thorough, and Dive Masters very attentive under water, making me feel well trained and safe during the dives. Im already talking to them about my next options for training and how to reach my long term diving goals, both with training and non-training experience.

My wife and I are certified divers! Let me tell you a few things that are great about this place! 1. The price is great compared to other dive shops here in San Antonio when it comes to certification.2. They don’t nickel and dime you for extra things3. They don’t push sales and they are very understanding (we plan to buy gear from them after our honeymoon).4. The dive experience was great! It’s a family friendly environment. They literally had their family out diving with us (as they are certified trainers as well). We had 5 trainees with us the day of our open water dives with 6 master divers. We felt very safe, they made my wife feel very comfortable as this was a new experience for her.All throughout the dive they kept asking us if we were okay.They always told us “if you feel nervous, slight panic, talk to us, let’s get you comfortable” they never pushed the dive. They gave great advice about how taking it slow as we are going down, and if you feel that anxiety within your own head over come it before going deeper because you don’t want to be going deeper and have that panic feeling taking over your other senses.Tim and his wife are great! and so are Terry and Tina!You could tell they all love diving and wanted to make sure that we have a fun and safe environment. Great customer service and great positive attitudes. All the instructors knew how to have a good time, but they knew when it was time to be serious and focus.10/10 These guys will have our business forever.

I would recommend Stone Oak Scuba to everyone. The customer service was excellent! The instructors were very patient and knowledgeable. You could tell they are both passionate about what they do. It was a fun experience and I’m glad to have learned from them.

Got my open water certification here, had a great time, instructors are very helpful Tim and Terry are badasses. Also bought all of my equipment through them for a great deal. If your thinking about getting certified look no further, this is the place!Reasonably priced!

Stone Oak Scuba is the best! The Laytons are awesome. I highly suggest you go down and check them out. If youre considering getting certified, you wont regret it Terry is extremely patient and understanding. If youre already certified, I recommend you go to their fun-dives

Where to start? Best group of people I have met in a long time. Great, great experience. Started in a very mixed class of comfort and experience and as each individuals needs became apparent, they quickly redirected and focused on proper educational level/speed for each. I am a fish and my husband has a good deal of fear of of water. They are AMAZING with him. Funny, focused, experienced. So glad that we landed with this group. Wouldnt trade them for anything. If you are looking for a school, do yourself a favor and train with them.

Me and the dive shop had a rocky first day but after speaking with the owner (Joe) they more than made it up to me. The guys there seem like great people and Joe is very knowledgeable about his profession. I am glad we were able to work things out together.

Had two Atomic ST1 regulators that need service. Took them in and they were both completed in under two hours super fast. Price was great and everyone was super friendly . Will definitely be using Stone Oak Scuba going forward.

Fantastic experience, and will work with you to meet a tight schedule to finish your certification. The staff is super nice and does a great job working with the customers. No one can control the weather so its understandable when we had to push one weekend but they made sure everyone could get their certification done before their trip.

Decent selection of scuba and photography equipment at amazon prices. The staff is super knowledgeable and friendly. They answered a lot of my questions about underwater photography.

I got my open water certification from here. The instructors are great and insure you are comfortable and knowledgeable with scuba. They are quick to answer any question you may have. I HIGHLY recommend them

This is a great family run store, I would highly recommend if you are considering an SSI or PADI certification. Safety and comfort were their priority. Joe and Katy are AWESOME! Joes backgrounds is in special operations Navy diving (he is far too modest to tell you that to your face) and Katy (his daughter) has been running the store for 6+ years! We truly felt like apart of their family, and my wife and I had no issues on our first ocean dive in Grand Cayman.

I am enjoying my continued diving education with Joe and Katie. They have made me feel like part of there dive family. We are always diving with them and the shop. If I need something and they do not have it in the shop they will get it for me.

The instructors are very experienced, and they do a good job of tailoring classes to your schedule. It’s not the closest dive shop for me, but it’s the only one I go to.
