Sold me exactly what I DID NOT need or want and now wont accept responsibility.Specifically told him I just wanted a simple replacement for old opener. He claimed old one underpowered, even tho it had lasted 15 years (per him). I was foolish enough to trust that what he quoted was for what I asked, and said ok. Later found it was an expensive upgrade and he also replaced the perfectly good track (not authorized). $525.His solution: Take it away and refund the money ( which would leave me without an opener or track til I found someone reputable). I suggested he replace with a simple unit as Id asked and refund difference. No response. Asked for itemized receipt. No response. Outdoor keypad stopped working. No response. I have no manuals or warranty info, and he ignores emails.This guy ignored what I told him, upsold me a fancy, overfeatured unit I dont want or need, refuses to give a receipt, ignores emails, and violated my trust. Remember the customer is always right? Not with this guy. Dont trust him.

I have a 2-car garage, and when my wife came home around 10pm, the spring broke as soon as she closed the garage door, trapping my wifes car and my car inside. My wife and I leave the house early in the morning so there is no way I can wait for a Garage Repair Service to fix it the next day. I tried Home Advisor to get service that night but all that Home Adviser can list are repair companies that are already closed and need to schedule service, so I googled 24-Hour Garage Door Service and the first company that came out of the list was this 5-star company called Jerrys Garage Door Repair. I immediately called the company and the owner, Jerry, picked up the phone, and in 30 minutes, he came over and fixed our garage. Not only was he prompt but you would know how kind and courteous a person is by the way he talks. While he was fixing the garage door, we exchanged views and I told him that me and my wife are nurses. He expressed his appreciation in what we do as front liners during this COVID-19 Pandemic and without even asking, he gave us a $50 off from the total cost of repair for what we do as front liners. In return, I gave him 2 hand sanitizers. By the way, both of us were in masks the whole time. I would really recommend him for all your garage door repairs. And as I said, since my wife and I are nurses that interact with all kinds of people all the time, you would know that Jerry is a kind, honest, and loves his work more than money by the way he talks and act. In fact, I have an unopened Genie Garage Door opener for my 3rd car garage which I got as a gift, planning to have it install in the future, so I scheduled another date for him to come back and install it. If there was a 10-star review, I would give him a 10.

The spring on our garage door broke on Saturday evening when my wife was trying to go pick up a curbside order at Target. It was impossible to get the door open so our car was stuck in the garage. We needed to be at a memorial service Sunday morning so I started searching the internet for someone to come out to fix it. I spoke to a couple of companies and neither of them could give me price for the repair. The best I could get was a price range. I started looking at google reviews for these companies and I found a lot of negative reviews. I looked at the reviews for Jerrys and they were all positive so I gave them a call at almost 10 pm. They answered on the second ring. I was impressed. I told him the situation and he said he could have someone here at 7 am on Sunday. He gave me a price that was $100 less than the other companies that I spoke to. The guys arrived this morning at 6:59 am. They were very professional and courteous. They got the spring replaced and were driving off at 7:40 am. I am so impressed with the service and pricing that I received. I will definitely call them again if the need arises.

Updating this review from 1 star to 4 because their customer retention efforts were top notch. jerry personally reached out to validate my concerns about my experience and to make things right. he definitely turned the situation around and i will certainly keep that in mind when looking for garage door maintenence in the future.original post:first appt. i made, they did a no-call, no-show. they didnt even address that mistake when i requested a new appt. i had to call them out and the guy swore hed give me a good rate for missing the appt.when they finally dared to show up, they settled for giving the unit a tune-up instead of actually knowing or fixing the problem. not sure if what they charged me was that good rate, but i called them back a week later because the problem was still happening.on their second visit, the problem couldnt be replicated, so they told me to call them back if it happened again and let them know what was happening, what lights were flashing, etc. i experienced the problem again the following week and called back as instructed. they told me they had to talk to jerry and would call me back. im still waiting for that call.a nice young woman with chamberlain, the units technical support, walked me through the steps to correct the issue over the phone. problem solved.tl;dr - dont bother jerry if your units phone support cant help you with your garage door issues.

REPAIRED HINGES BUT HAD NEGOTIATION ISSUES ON NEW DOORPaid a $30 fee for inspection and another $30 to repair the old garage door. Had communication and negotiation issues with a new garage door; I decided to go with another garage door installer.

Jerry and Tony were so helpful, you won’t be disappointed. My garage opener suddenly stopped working, so I took a chance and called to have someone come take a look. They came out the very next day to diagnose the problem AND replaced the broken parts the same day! Would definitely recommend to anyone with garage issues!

They came two days before Christmas and was able to get my door to at least close. They charged me a small service fee and told me what the would do on Tuesday after Christmas when they got parts from the warehouse. If I could give more stars I would. I had a garage door falling off its track about to fall on my car. The bracket came out of the wall and twisted the whole track. Jerry answered the phone at near midnight on a Saturday and didnt even hesitate to say he come right over. When he got here in 15mins. I told him Id be happy just being able to close the door, he assured me he could fix it and get it working. And for a very very reasonable price. Hes extremely professional, and very knowledgeable. If knew exactly what he was doing every second. If youre looking for a dedicated, honest repair... call him.

Jerry knows his stuff and worked with us to get a 16×7 door that had been backed into replaced. He was able to look at the door, give us options and replace the 4 panels within 24 hrs. Technician showed up at the time he said. His knowledge of fixing garage door problems was awsome. He took the time to make sure the door travel was good, that the belt and springs were adjusted properly. This was above and beyond the repair of the cable and sensor installation.

I called Jerry about a off track garage door. Told him the problem over the phone and he said he could fix it, no problem. I called a few other door companys and would not be able to come out or were going to charge an arm and leg. Jerry came out and fixed it and was reasonably priced. Jerry came through in a BIG way! Before his arrival I was livid. My youngest daughter somehow managed to get her scooter stuck in the garage door while attempting to open it. This ended up throwing the garage off the rails. In all my infinite wisdom I attempted to fix the door myself (as I had done it once before). This wasnt as easy as the previous time. My neighbor informed me that he had years of experience fixing garages so I allowed him to join in and help. Well, he managed to make things worse by yanking on the door and bending the beam on the opener (which left the door sitting atop my wifes SUV sitting in the garage). I politely sent him on his way and then reality set in, along with frustration and worry.I called one of the big name garage door companies which claimed to be open 24 hours a day. They informed me the earliest they could even attempt to come out and give me a quote would be in 3 days. This wasnt going to work. Thats when I called Jerry. It was about 7:30pm. Jerry commuted 40 minutes across town to examine the damage. He arrived with a smile and calm demeanor. He assessed the situation and informed me This is probably the second worst garage door situation Ive ever seen. Despair set in...then his next words were, I can fix it, no problem. That is exactly what he did. He stayed until the job was done, which ended up being about 10 oclock. Jerry proved to be one of the most quality human beings Ive ever encountered on the face of the planet, and outside of being a good person he gave me a hell of a deal and did a d*mn good job fixing my garage door.
