I was excited to try this place because the pictures online looked good but it was just okay. I ordered nachos and the chips were stale and the lemonade was too bitter. The shaved ice was okay. However, I will say the place looked very clean and the food products looked organized. I dont have a reason to return though. I much prefer La Michoacan Paleteria y Neveria on Cincinnati.

Good place to bring the family for a different type of ice cream experience. Its not like the other chains they have flavors you havent seen. I personally love the pickle dilly (raspa with Lucas and pickle pieces drenched in chamoy)

My brother went in an asked for a 4 things and it went so wrong... first the milkshake we asked for wasnt even frozen it was liquid In a cup, the fresa con crema was all liquid too and he asked for a mangonada and got a cup of corn instead and when we asked they didnt know English suddenly and didnt wanna give the money back.. never going there again...

I’ve had good eats here but this time we were badly treated by an employee did I request to speak to the owner because the guy had a real bad attitude l, once I spoke to the boss he let us know that we were wrong and the employee is a hard working charming man, I did forgot to say that their employees work with out mask and as far as osha goes I was able to count several violations

Large selection of fruits, ice cream, paletas, and juices. Watermelon Fresca was ripe and very sweet for my taste. The cucumber and pineapple Fresca was refreshing to try.

There is a reason why most of the people that review this place give it five stars. That is because it deserves them. The employees and owners are approachable people and know how to do their job. Their location is also in a good location that is hard to miss and they offer a wide variety of products. Overall this is a very solid establishment in my book for cheap and good ice cream, shaved ice, fruit cups, etc.

My grand kids love every flavor they have tried out. They enjoy taste testing several home made ice cream flavors and sitting down in a booth with their mom. My daughter loves that it is always clean and the service is that great old fashioned type. As for me, I love their nachos with lots of cheese.

Just tried this place for the first time. The ice cream is great. They also have shaved ice and lots of other stuff. Next time I will try the shakes. One scoop of ice cream is only $2.50.

One of the only places in San Antonio I found that sells legit Mexican ice cream, snow cones, water-based ice cream, milk-based ice cream, Mexican sodas, Mexican popsicles,... I have been going for about 5 or 6 years now. I love the strawberries and cream ice cream and the corn as well. They make all the icecream home made and tge shaved ice is home made as well. They have aguas frescas and other things as well. I can see myself going there for years to come. Plus overall they are amazing people. Ive never had a bad experience.

We found El Tropico about a week ago. Its my new favorite place in San Antonio for desserts! We go almost every night. Shaved ice, variety of flavors, ice cream, palettes, bionicos, aguas frescas- all made fresh there. My favorite is the pineapple and chamoy. Today took my Mom. She loved it. Staff is really friendly, patient, and helpful. Cant say enough good things.
