Great location, stop by here after a long hot day at the zoo. I opted for the piña colada shaved iced, it ate the top quickly before it melted! The ice was chunkier on the bottom, the sweet sauce was delicious! My daughter got a strawberry lemonade pop and it was refreshing and tart. The owner is super sweet and tended to us quickly. Can’t wait to go back and try more flavors!Note: they only allow 2 patrons inside at a time due to Covid.

Best and closest ice cream to the Zoo or Brackenridge Park! Cookies & cream and mint chocolate were amazing! I got the strawberry popsicle because I was on a bike ride but my date got the creamy ice cream and it was so good! Definitely a place to come back to!

This little popsicle shop is the place to go to cool off. The owner is just as sweet as the popsicles themselves! The shop also has gelato/ice cream and has a nice outdoor area to sit and eat your pop. The pink lemonade and strawberry ones are amazing!

Everything they make sets the bar, from their ice cream and paleta to their shaved ice it is all the best in San Antonio. Not only are the cold treats fantastic but the family that operates the shop is the nicest group of people you can meet. Were lucky to have them in San Antonio. Discovered while looking for a shaved ice craving on my birthday. Nice, little place with popsicles made in-house.Casual and quaint.We were the only two in the place and the two proprietors were in no rush to greet us. I guess they were busy looking at some bills. After waiting while they sat near us, the shave ice was good. Might return.

The popsicles here are amazing! Ive been here twice. The first time I had a watermelon pop which tasted exactly like the fresh watermelon you cut open from the store. The second time I had a strawberry pop which was also delicious. The pops taste like real fruit, I wouldnt be surprised if they cut the watermelon and strawberries in the back and froze them to make pops that are to die for!

Mom and pop ice cream shop that had exactly what youre looking for. Mexican chocolate is easily my favorite, but when i need a more refreshing feeling, the lime-sicle hits the spot perfectly. I bought half a dozen pops and they put them in a bag of shaved ice so they wouldnt melt. Great job! Better taste!

Ive never been here and I never will. The lady who owns this place is a very rude woman. She came to pay her bill and couldnt comprehend the fact that someone who already waited in line didnt need to stand in line again. She took more time at my counter than the poor lady who needed a refund ahead of her did. Although i maintained a friendly smile and attitude with her, she proceeded to be rude and even threatened to tell my manager, which i replied she has every right to do so. I will be telling everyone i know not to do business here as she is a very unprofessional and rude individual. As i said to her in person, Have a beautiful day 😊😊😊

On a hot day, there is nothing better than a cold treat. SA Pops should be one of your go to for cold & sweet paletas. They have a large selection to choose from. I highly recommend the Mexican Chocolate, Watermelon, and Strawberry.

Misleading is the first word to come to mind. Due to the name, me and my husband were expecting a large selection of artisan popsicles, but when we finally went the main centerpiece seemed to be a small ice cream bar with the popsicles barely in sight and theyre not even handmade. Very small selection and a bit overpriced for what you get.

Sweetest lady greeted us. Had the limon and coconut one and they were DELICIOUS so i sent my boyfriend to get another!

This is a wonderful local small business. They have Popsicles and small batch hand made ice cream. They make everything themselves. As this is a small batch, hand made artisinal shop do not expect the commercialization of other ice cream shops. The owner is a culinary chef and his expertise really shows in his creative sweet treats. Pistachio, Tamarindo, Pink Lemonade, Coconut, Watermelon are just a few of the popsicle offerings! We had a wonderful Blackberry ice cream today. Please come out and support a small local business!

The older woman working there is either the owner or the owners mother. She is super sweet and friendly. Makes you feel like family. And not to mention the shaved ice and paletas are amazing..Everything is homemade. You can see the freezer with the pops, paletas, and ice cream being prepared.

Sure paletas are sold everywhere in San Antonio, but SA Pops have delicious, although some may argue pricey, paletas made from scratch! My favorites include the Pecan one and the creamy Avocado. The staff here are very nice and always have a smile on their faces.

Why would you not be open at noon on a Saturday?(Edit)I just changed my review to 3 stars because we are here... and they are closed during open hours, AGAIN. We dont go downtown or eat ice cream often, but when we do, we plan our days around business hours. This is the fourth time they have been closed. Its 715 on a Thursday. Also, last time we went, we came specifically for pistachio popcicles. They had them made, but not in wrappers yet. He said we could wait 3 hours for them. There was no one else in the store. Not great service, hours, or atmosphere, but the ice cream really is amazing quality. When you can get it, that is.

BEST PALETA EVER!the pistachio flavor, to be exact. theres a reason this one is the only $4 flavor, when all of the other ones are $2. whoever said a paleta is a paleta is a paleta has never had the pistachio one from sa pops. so much complexity. so creamy. perfectly sweetened. so rich and nutty, yet still balanced. so many notes of flavor that it almost has underlying hints of hazelnut and chocolate. dont bother with the chocolate shell or the pistachio crumble, you wont need it. and the pistachios they use to make it are imported from italia so you know they have to be good! this is a sa must-try!p.s. skip the ice cream sandwiches. unless you like your ice cream between rocks. too hard to eat. :( and theres a $5 credit card minimum so if you only want one thing, bring cash!
