Just bought a used road bike from here and could not have had a better experience. When I first looked at the bike on Saturday, the employee Josh, said he would be replacing all the components within the final cost of the bike. When I arrived to try it on Tues he had also replaced a wheel at no additional cost. He had also removed and let me choose a new handle wrap in the color of my choice, also at no cost. The care and customer experience was so good at this spot. I highly recommend.

I new in San Diego. I called several shops around town half of them could not help me the other were taking at least a week for repairs I called, they told me to drop by with the bike 2 days later bike was ready they replaced rear tube adjusted the rear gears that were loose that was making my rim wobble for only 20 dlrs cant get any more affordable than that, plus they were super friendly. Will definitely recommend anyone who needs their bike fixed to drop by.

This bike shop is the bomb. Jennifer and Josh are fantastic. I wont take my three bikes anywhere else. I just wish I had found this place sooner. Prices are great (even before a 10% military discount) and so is the service. Josh is a highly skilled mechanic who is always willing to listen and give great advice whenever Ive had a problem. I recommend all my friends take there bikes here for service.

I had to get my derailleur and gears adjusted after getting noises when pedaling in the highest gear . They did an amazing job ! Then the next day I replaced the rear tire tube and was getting noise again they readjusted for free !! And finished as I waited in the shop.. now when pedaling it is noise free :) I would definitely recomend this shop . I will probally get my tuneup done here when the time comes

I received a free bike that needed (from my own estimate and part research) at LEAST a couple hundred in repairs. I didnt have the time to fix it on my own, so I decided to take it here after reading the great reviews. Jennifer was extremely nice and knowledgeable, and had a repair estimate for me within 5 minutes of arriving. She quoted me about $200 less than I was expecting to spend, and accurately listed everything I knew needed obvious work.As it stands, Id recommend Ye Olde Bicycle Shoppe to anybody; Ill be updating my review once repairs are finished on my bike.

Ive been going to this bike shop for years. They seem to have some of the best prices around. Im sorry that the one on El Cajon boulevard closed but the one on the University avenue is still there. Theyre always cheerful and helpful.

I was referred to this place from another shop owner. The shops owner said he doesnt refer people normally but these people were so nice and very honest with a ton of knowledge.. he wasnt wrong. The customer service is always number 1 in my opinion.. then.. when you get top notch customer service all the other great qualities usually fallow.. so immediately I knew these people where good. The woman behind the count was so sweet. She knew exactly what I needed and laid out all options.. another gentleman (maybe her husband) came out and introduced himself and gave me some tips and advice. Super clean business with really cool bikes. I know where Im will be getting my bike parts from. Both business we amazing. I will be leaving a review on the other bike shop as well. Thank you guys. No hassle repair services offered at just the right price! the staff has a passion for bikes and really know their stuff, from oldies to brand spanking new models. In my years of taking bikes to different stores for repairs, I have never felt as confident with the care of my bike as I felt with these guys (and gal :)) would recommend anytime

Great family run small business. I have bought two mountain bikes here for my kids. Both bikes have been solid! Totally refurbished and tuned up ready to roll. I always check prices on things I buy and they came in very very fair on both bikes. I highly suggest this place for buying higher grade reliable gently used bikes for kids at the price of a new junky bike at the big retailers. Support local San Diego businesses!

I usually dont like posting reviews unless I get great service . Took my kids bikes in today as some of the big box stores were booked a month out . They quoted me a week or so but then received a call a few hours later and they were able to get it done much sooner . Excellent customer service and they took the time to listen to me regarding the issues that was going in with the bike . I will be going here from now on . If youre ever considering getting your bike fixed or tuned up, give these people a try first you wont regret it

This shop was awesome! Jennifer and Josh were intent on fixing the problem with the bike at a low price ($15)....compared to the nearby Pedal Pushing Bicycle Company who looked at my bike for 2 minutes and told me I should probably just get a new bike. Recommend Ye Olde to anyone!

This is a great community bike shop with honest people ! I took a bike in that was in terrible condition, Jennifer gave me an estimate to get it all fixed up for only $150. It was done in only 3 days and when I arrived I fully expected to pay more than the estimate, but no, the price she quoted me at was the price I paid. The bike is gorgeous now and I love riding it around town. Thanks Jennifer and Josh!

This shop is amazing!!! I took my damaged bike to this shop as recommended by a friend. Other shops told me the bike was not repairable. Jennifer and her team restored my bike back to perfect condition and I could not be happier!!!! The prices are reasonable and the work is good. I called ahead to make sure my bike could be ready the same day for a race the next day and it was. They replaced both cables and tuned up my bike perfectly. They even cleaned her up to look brand spankin new!! Highly recommend!!

Well I needed a taillight and found something suitable. But the downside is that this is a high crime area, so you need to really keep an eye on your stuff. Service was fast and efficient but two minutes later I walked out and some bonehead was emptying out my saddle bag. I made a scene and threatened to call the cops. So the guy returned my stuff. Was really disappointed the staff didnt come outside to back me up! The front door was wide open so I know they saw what had transpired . Wont return again.

My bike, while chained up yesterday at Home Depot in Lemon Grove, had a clandestine interaction with a mystery vehicle (??) which resulted in a bent rear wheel and parcel rack. First off its a rare occasion if i write a review. Either the company was phenomenal or horriffic. But I was looking for bearings for my axles. I searched two hardware stores, and two other bike shops. One bike shop said no i never heard of that, but if you find some could you let me know. I finally stopped at Ye Olde Bicycle Shop. I asked the gal if she had bearings. She replies of course were a bike shop. I never went anywhere ever since.I also never been to a place that gladly offeres to sell used equipment at a stupidly fair price. Not only that they dont push product and dont overcharge for their maintenance services. Highly satisfied and highly recommend to anyone in need of a bike shop.
