It was my first time going shopping in an Amazon Books store ( I didnt know they actually had a store you can go inside & shop.) It had a fairly good section of different types of books, fancy greeting cards and home electronic gadgets like Echo. They probably stock their popular & best seller products. But if your looking for a particular type of book your best bet is to look online. 😉

Very nice store. Been wanting to go and finally did and I wasnt disappointed. But watch price on signs. They have two, one for non Amazon customers and one for Amazon customers. And this also makes it easier for check out thru the app.

Good bookstore with interesting Amazon electronic products and gadgets of all sorts. In fact there are actually too many of those items and not enough space and emphasis on actual books and reading. Its like a B&N Bookstore shrunk by 2/3 size and then throwing out 1/2 of the books and added back all manner of Amazon products. The name of the store should be changed to Amazon & Books.

Interesting book store but not as extensive as Barnes and noble. Ordering from Amazon would probably just be easier but I understand the appeal of a physical store.

I do wish they had a bigger shop but what they do have instore is already a pretty good selection.

A small store that carries a healthy variety of books (rated 4 stars and up on Amazon), as well as a selection of gadgets. There are fiction, travel, language, kids, biographies and more. Each section has a dozen or more books. Friendly and fun, especially now that many book stores are disappearing.

AMAZON brick and mortar store is more fun than its online business. Childrens books and Amazon Echo devices are just my starting point.

Book store is amazing and has very cool things but the worker was incredibly rude. i asked her if there was a discount for prime members and she said to me “if you would’ve read the screen, you would know that there is a discount”. i was so taken aback that i didn’t know how to respond. she then continued by saying “i just need to have a recording of myself saying the instructions” extremely passive aggressively, because it is so hard for her to answer this question? there was no line, and the store was not busy at all. terrible customer service and zero patience.

Its like a big airport gadget shop. Nice deals (of course) for Prime members. So far the place with the most complete collection of smart everything, besides the books themselves of course. Nice selection of board games too.

Location provided by good maps is false. Just park near corner bakery and reach to gap. The store is near gap. I had hard time finding this store via maps

The selection is limited by the size of the store. Great for younger readers for the selection offerings.

The layout of this store is not conducive to an easy shopping experience. There is not natural flow and therefore hard to shop without feeling pressured to move quickly. Also the signs are all digital which is fine but the text is to small to read without getting right up to it which slows you down even more. Over all the staff is good and selection is moderate. I would say just stick to Prime online.

Theybl dont have the good books that are useful like MCAT, GRE, DAT, and LSAT.

If youre like me and love discovering cute second hand book shops then you will love this place.They have a great number of used and new books which include classic literature to mythology to politics. Basically, there are books covering a lot of diverse topics!

I love this store. I bought a new 4K TV and needed a new Fire Stick. The shipping time on Amazon was about 5 days so I decided to come to the store to buy one. They had plenty in stock. My son found a book he wanted and the price was excellent since we received our Prime pricing. Previously when we have come what we have wanted has been in stock. The employees are very helpful and polite. This has vastly become one of my favorite stores to visit.

Its a very small bookstore with a very limited book selection. Definitely recommend it if you want to feel out the Amazon electronics before buying.

I am surprised Amazon opened a book store after it put all of the brick & mortar stores out of business. I went in just to see what they had. About half the store is electronics (Alexa, earphones) and other half is books. The store was nice and the people were nice.

This place is fun. just go in and youll find some interesting things in here. the attendant are friendly and helpful too.

Im a big advocate for Barnes and Noble, since I feel like libraries, book stores, and print in general is going out of style sadly. But this store is a very neat concept that I feel will bring print to the forefront again. Its like any other book store (kind of limited selection if youre looking for an unpopular/super specific book), but you get Amazons pricing, and some items are discounted for prime members!

I had returns for Amazon and they scanned the returns immediately and sent me an email. Easy as can be. I know there is another review here where they dropped off a return but i did not have any issues at all. Everyone was friendly. The associate had the scanner right in her hand.

Great place to grab a quick gift. Lots of childrens books and a variety of good electronics like Alexa compatible devices. They do take Amazon returns.

I find it a lot of fun but its not really like other bookstores. The selection is limited to whats popular on Amazon. However that has a benefit as well. Product reviews are shown with all the books. Plus you can check out with Amazon so theres no need to check the website for a better price.

Tiny subset of wares that can be found on Amazon. If you want it now, and its stocked, great. Chances are, the thin selection leaves me wanting.

I really like the Amazon book stores. Its nice to hold and read a book before buying it. I like that the selection of books in the store are top sellers. I really like the use of my Amazon account to buy stuff in the brick n mortar.

My first visit to an Amazon bookstore. Small but good selection. Im not sure why it exists unless its a loss leader to get you into the Amazon system. Still a nice little bookstoreLOTS of construction at UTC. Free parking less than 2 hours

Staff is very friendly and helpful. The selection is extensive and offers not only a bookstore, but a place to return your amazon purchases. The store is easy on the eyes and is very clean.

The mall is a good place to go and shop when you have nothing to do that day, that is until you walk into a store with staff like this, was monitored by 2 different employees to what I assume was to make sure I didnt steal anything. Very uncomfortable feeling, didnt feel welcome at all, definitely will not be going back to that Amazon location.

Really smooth, and pretty thoughtful selection of items. The store was relaxed in atmosphere and the staff were friendly.

Everytime we come to UTC with the kids we almost always stop by here. I guess I shouldnt stay stop by since we stay for a minimum of a half hour. Kids love looking through and reading new and old books. Not sure why they seem to be more interested in reading a book here that we already have at home, but whatever gets them reading.

Great selection of of 4-5 star books and Amazon electronics. Friendly staff. This location is actually quite popular, so it gets a little crowded in here. Great place to bring your kids to let them check it a book first before you buy it.

Pretty cool place, I find it funny that Amazon even has brick and mortar stores, I wish the employees knew the technical aspects of the Kindles they sell, our guy didnt even know the waterproofing on the new Kindle (this was after the first guy didnt know what we were asking)But I like it, the arent any prices listed, Im guessing this is because they just use the current Amazon price? They even have the if you liked this, then youll love this placards just like the site.Pretty cool place!

The staff were absolutely wonderful. You could ask questions about any product in the store and there they were with the answer. I even got a few book recommendations based on what I held in my hand and they did not disappoint.

The UTC Mall has a great vibe, but not many stores for me to browse in -especially since Sears closed. So this bookstore is great for me. Its rather small - its no Barnes and Noble - but its got plenty to offer. The sports section is REALLY limited - I only saw one book on golf. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly.

Its a tidy, organized and sharp store. I wish it could have more room and plenty of other locations near the rest of San Diego.

I was fortunate enough to visit the first Amazon bookstore in Seattle when it first opened, so when I heard there was one opening here in San Diego, I had to check it out! A bit smaller but the staff here are so much friendlier. Helpful too, as they carefully introduce you to the Amazon/Prime ecosystem if you dont know much about it. The selection of books are rated 4 stars and up from Amazon reviewers, so I doubt youll find a bad book. Be forewarned though, as they dont have a huge selection, so if your looking for some obscure book then it probably wont be here.

Amazon Books has new and used books, magazines, and the new york times available. its a combination of Books, Inc. and Moes Books (a berkeley institution).Dog was the busiest book store ive found in the mission.

You walk in and it kinda looks like any run of the mill Barnes and Noble. What makes Amazon books is if youre a prime member, you answer a barcode with your phone and you gets really good discounts on all the books. Every time I go in I end up buying at least one book. Check it out if you can

Badly organized. The book, “Born a Crime,” had review cards at some shelves, while other shelves containing the book did not have one. Employee attitude can improve. Also, the kids section contained a book that the author specifically stated to be for ages 12 and above. That’s not for children, is it?

Ok. Straight up I have to tell you I have an addiction to bookstores. I am going to walk in every one I pass by. Whats great about the Amazon store is sections by popularity on Amazon. 5 star books. Favorites in San Diego. Most popular Kindle reads. I like that because it has exposed me to new genres I would not necessarily try, but if so many other readers really recommend a title, Ill give it a try. I wouldnt find it by just checking the website. Great childrens section.

Went on Sunday...door was locked (815PM). Holiday hours poster on the window said...Open until 10PM. Knocked on the door, and employee was very annoyed by me asking..Are you closed?. He said yes and I pointed out that the sign on the window said 10PM....Well we are closed...sorry. Love Amazon, but looks like I caught them on an off day.
