Its great having a bookstore in the neighborhood, especially one this good! Its not huge, but the collection is well-curated. If youre not sure what you want, staff members have recommendations written on cards attached to many titles, and additionally are happy to assist with personalized recommendations based on your interests.

Lovely little book shop in South Park that has all the best sellers and plenty of other literature, as well as so much more, including puzzles, candles, journals, and greeting cards. Theres an entire childrens room, with young adult books too. Shop local. Shop small business. Shop Book Catapult!

This place is my absolute favorite bookstore and favorite way to spend money. The staff are attentive and have great recommendations.

My favorite bookstore in San Diego! The folks who run this shop do such a wonderful job filling the shelves with treasures. When I stopped in last week, I found so much enticing new fiction on the first display table, I lingered there for a long time before moving over to the shelves. It’s like they combed through my Goodreads account, and put together a table of books meant just for me. I could easily spend all day in here!Whenever I need gifts for kids, this is my go-to spot. Puzzles, picture books, and kids lit fills the back 1/4 of the shop, and there are tons of cool finds. Books from local authors are often highlighted, if you want to shop hyper-local.Definitely worth going out of your way for a trip to this South Park gem!

This is a book haven! and the staff are very good in suggesting what is a great book! The arrangement is easy to follow which also helped in finding what you are looking quicker! They also have cards in case you need to give the book as a gift! Ill be visiting this place again!

Just did my Christmas shopping here and like every time I come in here I end up buying 6-7 books because the selection is so amazing! They are letting people in now with all the proper protocols in place. Love this bookstore so much it has to be the best in San Diego. Stop in you will not regret it! And if they don’t have what you want they are happy to order it.

A small bookseller with a giant selection of something for everyone. Theres a sizeable area devoted to childrens books and educational toys for the wee ones. Online order with on-site pick-up is available for all your last minute gift giving. Covid: Must be masked. No more than 6 patrons at a time.

I read about a dozen books last winter from this wonderful South Park book store. Most of the books were recommended by the owner and his book sellers. I read about 1930’s Germany, a horse race in Mongolia, an amazing post (flu pandemic) apocalyptic tale set in Colorado, a French noir police procedural and a mystery set in 1920’s Bombay to name a few. I would not have found these books on my own. Highly recommended.

A nice welcoming little book store that will have something for everyone! I emailed them to see if I could order some mangas for a Christmas gift and the owner was quick to reply and soon after they were ready for pick up! Shopping local is always ideal, especially when you have a place with the customer service and staff they do.

Go check out The Book Catapult in the South Park neighborhood. Its an independent bookstore with a great selection of books, something for everybody. I took home a stack of 6 books. The owner Seth is welcoming and knowledgeable. You could browse for a good long time with the interesting mix of books hes stocked. We have to support indie bookstores every chance we get. If you havent been to that neighborhood in a while you may be surprised at how many quality stores and restaurants have moved in. Make a trip down there for the bookstore and have dinner afterward. Del Sur, right around the corner, is great for Mexican cuisine. Also some yummy ice cream on the corner.

We live in the neighborhood and I just stopped in today to pick up some gifts. Great selection, I saw a lot of interesting stuff that I never would have thought about had I been browsing on the internet. The owner was working the cash register and is super friendly, he even ordered a book for me that wasnt in stock. If you love a good, tastefully displayed, local bookstore this spot is for you!

They gave a diverse collection of books. The owners are very involved. Shopping there supports local/small businesses. They will order books for you.

A couple times a year I drive almost an hour to get to this book store because it is the greatest place and you can find something for anyone.
