Once we had the wheels off, we determined that the scope of the work needed to include the back brakes and replace a front axle. Called mid Morning a couple Evans tires locations to get my tires rotated and this location on convoy told me estimated less than 1 hour. Brought my car right in and let them know I was going to take a walk to please call me when my car was ready! Less than 30 min later they called saying my car was all finished. The 2 gentlemen who provided customer service were very polite and professional. I Will absolutely bring my car back to this location!

My husband has been a customer here for almost 25 years — basically since his first car. They do great work and are typically very nice and reliable.I was a bit discouraged by the lack of masks being worn and improper wearing of masks, so I said something to the men at the desk. The man who was helping us was kind about adjusting his mask, but the man next to him did not seem pleased. The office is small and not wearing a mask properly, over the nose, defeats the purpose. I wear a mask not just for my own benefit but for the safety of people around me. I would feel terrible if one of them were to go home with the virus and infect their families because of carelessness with mask or distancing protocols. I have no regrets mentioning this to their staff, despite the displeasure it seems to have caused. He was not the only staffer seemingly very casual about this; many of the folks working there seemed to prefer wearing their masks as chin straps.My husband also mentioned that they joked to him about him needing permission from me to pay for service, but that’s not the case; my husband doesn’t know the balances on our cards but he definitely doesn’t need permission to service our car. I might be a stickler about masks, but I am happy to pay for services that keep our car driving smoothly and safely. I am happy to pay these guys for their work; we are satisfied customers.We’ll return, but I hope the workers here choose to be better about masks. The more seriously they take it, the sooner we’ll be rid of masks and we can go about our lives without them.

Great tires at prices that beat everyone in town. For example, they beat VW by $140 and discount tire by $80. Service was fast and professional. Thus the 2nd location I have visited in San Diego- the other being poway. I will keep going to evans.

Saturday, my daughter calls me in the morning and tells me her tire is flat. Come to find out all four tires have pretty bad dry rot. Fantastic place — I’m from out of town and needed a last minute alignment, they were super helpful and informative. This is the shop to go to!!! AMAZING customer service! I had a couple nails in my tire and had gone to Costco and they told me that it was not repairable and tried to make me pay for new tires. I went to Evans Tire & Service Center and they fixed my tires within an hour and I bugged them to do an alignment and they were able to get it done in a reasonable time with no appointment! I will definitely be coming here for my tire and service needs!

Today I had the experience of observing the technicians and staff provide excellent customer service under pressure. I had 4 new tires installed and was treated with patience and kindness by Hart and Carlos. Thank you for making me feel safe after a very irrate patron was swearing and berating you all with disrespectful name calling. Im not sure I couldve kept my cool but you all handle it well as a team.

The team did an amazing job repairing the brakes, rotors, shocks, coils, tires, spark plugs, and even more in a day’s work. He provided my truck with quality products at a really great price compared to the estimates I received from the dealership and other repair shops for the same work. They were friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. I highly recommend them.

After the Evans Tire in Pacific Beach on Garnet Ave closed, I went back to Discount Tire down the street. After comparing both tire outlets over the past 20 years, Evan’s tire takes the cake!There is nothing discounted about discount tire.. great service, but pricey!I wound up back at Evans tire that is miles away from my house because I wanted their 3 year alignment deal. Every step of the process of getting my tires fixed through Evan’s Tires has blown me out of the water, from talking with Jason over at the la mesa location to Art at the convoy location. Jason helped me figure out what tires I needed for my car and what location was closest to me and had them in stock! He then quickly set up an appointment for me. I needed all four brand new tires and they beat the quote discount tires gave me as well as the quote from my dealership. When I arrived, Art greeted me and was an absolute pleasure to work with! He immediately noticed my alignment was off (which I had known before and forgot to mention to him). So he’s definitely on his A-Game! Service and time of putting on the tires was excellent art was wonderful and very courteous and a pleasure to work with. The only downside was the killing of nitrogen into the tires for an extra $18 which I did not request. Otherwise outstanding service and rates were competitive.

Base on my experience, the manager that day (June 4th, 2021) did not have the professionalism or finesse required to serve an existing customer. He pushed me take the most expensive oil change for an old car. Dont think the price quotation was mentioned until at the end of the service. Previous managers at this Evans Tire location (Convoy st) were courteous, and customer oriented. Also, price quotation for another repair service that I wanted that this manager gave me was approximately twice the amount from where I ultimately got the repair done.Why would I want to pay approximately same price as a car dealer would charge?

Everything was good except that There was no communication when it was done. I was estimated at one time and an hour and a half after that time I had to call and check.

Was there 3weeks ago and got to say top of the line service.

After waiting 30 minutes, they took a customer that drove in 9 minutes later this customers car was on the rack inside the garage, as I still waited. It should be noted that Artie, the manager, was rude.My dear fellow Googlers Their prices are approximately 15% higher than Discount Tire or even Goodyear or Firestone 12%.I called on six different tires for trucks and cars. Evans was always higher by a significant amount.

Five star service from Carlos and from this location in general. Following a tire blowout, (cheers to the person who left their bumper in the gutter on Convoy and Clairemont Mesa), this location had me fully fixed up and back on the road less than 20 minutes after my arrival. Top notch experience all around!

Was very disappointed for the service this time. I purchased 5 year service for my ram truck for alignment, rotation and balance this April. And I have been a customer of evans for more than 5 years. The computer system have records for all my cars. This is the 3rd time I am trying to use this new policy.The manager asked my phone number and claimed he could not find my record in the system. He refused to continue help me unless I have the paperwork from the original purchase. He quickly left the counter and claimed I was arguing with him and not listening to him. Carlos the other salesman suddenly claimed he told me my policy expired although he was the salesman who sold me the policy. I was shocked and did not know what to do.Luckily I found the original receipt in my truck and brought back to the counter. It bears the same number I had provided to them earlier repetitively.The computer magically worked this time and the manager start saying only the receipt works and recommended to always bring it.At the end of service, I requested the data for alignment result. The manager told me printer jammed and the sheet was not available. He said if I want the data they have to realign the truck but I insisted as i would like to know how often the alignment is needed. Magically the sheet was handed to me after 5 mins without any further alignment.I think any business need to be reliable and trustworthy. It is a big deal to me if I can not trust words from the front desk. I am very disappointed this time

Friendly service, tires and alignment work made my 13 year old Honda Fit feel much more comfortable to drive. I had a 7:30 appointment and they got me out of there in less than 45 minutes. They said estimated time was an hour, so that gave some room to take longer if needed. But they got done quicker and my car feels much better to drive. And they helped me save some money with their sale this week.

Wonderful experience! I was hesitant at first since I haven’t had the best experiences in the past when it comes to car repairs and auto shops. However, the team here was kind and professional. They took the time to explain what was going on with my shocks and tires, made recommendations and then allowed me the time to make my own decisions. I went in for oil change, tires rotation and alignment. In my past experienced I get a form to sign for what services I am getting done and how much it would cost, I didnt get one. I was told my car wont be ready for 3 hours so left. I waited 4.5 hours no call. I decided to call but got put on hold for 10 minutes. Phone answering was pretty unprofessional, Evens. This guy must be new, untrained, or dont want to do his job professionally. So I decided to hang up and call back after the long hold. It seems like the guy forgot about my previous call that he putting me on hold, because he helped immediately and was told my car is ready. So when I got to the shop, I was told the computer is down. I going to have to wait 5 minutes, I waited 20 minutes. When I was paying for service he told me my tires are bad I need new tires. I asked, can you check when I last got the tires here (I had them less than 2 years). He told me according to the record you bought the tires more 6 years ago. I changed my tires about 3-4 years so thats impossible! He told me to find the receive for proof and at the same time he didnt give me the receive for service that was done when I left the shop. He forgot and I forgot to asked. Like last time they told me it isnt in the record when I bought the tires there but the Salesman (not the same person I was dealing with this time) remembered me. Came to find out they have two different accounts setup in their system after he digged deeper.

Was quoted a price for the BOGO tire deal over the phone and was told to bring the quote number to the store with me, however when I got there things went differently. The price I was shown at the store was for a smaller tire that didn’t fit my car, which was really odd because it was the same price as my correct tire as also shown on the website. Unfortunately, they didn’t have this brand in stock for the size I needed, so he basically sold me on a more expensive tire that they had in stock. Due to the inconvenience and error that was made, he did work with me on giving me a larger discount which was acceptable.

I needed to get a front end alignment because of some work my mechanic performed on my truck. I was tight for time and called ahead to see if the Evans’s Tire in Kearny Mesa could fit me in. Carlos Mendoza said bring it in and we’ll get to it. I brought it to them and was out of there in about 1/2 hour. It helped to call ahead so they could squeeze me in. Thanks to all the guys there.

I say this because they were not only the lowest price but offered the highest quality. Didn’t have great service. They told me it would be 1 to 2 hours for tire change. I asked them to give me a call when the car is ready. I went somewhere to eat and chill. Three hours passed and I didn’t get any call. I called them and the car was ready, but they didn’t notify me. I probably waited at least an extra hour for no reason.

Technicians kept me well informed and provided and showed me any additional work that was found during the inspection that needed approval before completing. Friendly and customer service oriented. They got the job done, however, their customer service is terrible. The maintenance guy gave me some tools so I can put them inside my truck (while the truck was lifted), while doing it he lowered the truck while I still have my door open (the door almost contacted the machines metal frame, which would have bend the door) and my feet underneath, this is extremely dangerous. I get it, people should not be in the shop since its a hazard, but if they know that you will be putting stuff back in your vehicle, they should at least look around and give you the heads up before lowering a vehicle.

Bought new tires for my Ram 2500 before moving back to MD. Great customer service, good price on tires. The issue came after I moved. I’ve had to replace 3 of the 4 valve stems. It’s either defective stems or poor installation. Would not recommend using them unless you’re staying local and can have them fix every time the tires break on you.

I needed new tires for my 2018 Honda Fit after the OEM tires’ wall cracked. I called the customer service line and spoke with Dickie/Dicky and he took care of me. He was able to find an alternative to the tire I wanted since they didn’t have them in stock and I wanted to use their promo of buy two get two. He quoted me a really great deal out the door and scheduled for my tires to be delivered to my preferred location, which was the one on Convoy. The guys at the shop on Convoy were great and friendly. It was an easy transaction for something that isn’t super cheap. I was nervous they would try to negotiate with me and sneak in extra costs but they were transparent and let me know everything upfront. Evans Tires off Convoy St. San Diego CA, provide great service when I got a flat tire and need to have my car towed. I called two closer Evans Tire shops but were told they did not have availability. The manager at the Evans Tire Service Center on Convoy told me to bring my vehicle and he would take care of it. The service was great and the staff was great. A negative situation became positive.

I waited for almost 4 hours and then they changed me for things I didn’t ask for. They also kept talking to me so I would think they were being nice but then he never went over the bill or anything. So over priced.

Had an alignment done on my 34 yr old Volvo 240 DL and the price was great, they had me in and out in 1/2 hour, and friendly staff!! All around very pleasant experience!!
