I’ve been here twice now and the visit is always positive and professional. I’ve worked with 2 advisors so far and both have been very helpful and communicative through the process of getting your vehicle maintained.From the drive up, to the talks of what your vehicle needs done, and to the waiting room. Everything has been great really.The communication is very punctual and clear when it comes to the maintenance department. They’ll text you a link upon checking in and with this link, you’re able to check on the status of your vehicle. Upon completion of inspection, if there’s anything else that needs to be done to your vehicle, they will communicate with you first to get permission on whether or not you want to get it done. And when the work is complete, they email you a copy of the documents and work done on your vehicle.I’ve heard of a lot of people who complain about bringing their vehicles to the actual dealerships for maintenance when it comes to “prices” and out the door cost. Honestly, long story short, if you want the work done right with less visits and problems to your vehicle, coming here is never a wrong decision. Obviously, be prepared and just make sure you have enough in your wallet before planning on coming here.Lastly, make sure you download the Toyota app so that way you have digital copies (History) of maintenance completed on your vehicle so that it’s easier to track what’s been completed and what needs to get done on your next visit.

A car purchase is usually such a hassle and something most people dislike doing.Our personal experience was so unexpectedly pleasant. From the get go our sales person, Craig Lemmons, made us feel comfortable. Hes very easy-going, sincere, knowledgeable and we never felt pressured. The negotiation phase went easy as well and matter of fact.If youve ever been with someone whos purchased a car you know this is a long affair, especially so for a hungry 4 year old. Craig was great with our son, interacted with him and even got him some cookies. He worked his best to get us out of there as quickly as possible, going so far as to help detail the car himself. I highly recommend you go see him, his customer service is excellent!And the great service didnt stop there, the finance director, Virgil Dela Cruz, was just as personable. He answered so many questions to help us make up our minds on the warranty. He was patient and friendly. We genuinely laughed and joked around, truly a pleasant experience all around! P.S We love our car too!!!

Our salesperson, Jenna was absolutely great during this entire process. She was always courteous, listened attentively and allowed us to do our due diligence when we wanted to compare prices at other dealerships. She was never pushy (like many salespeople can be) which we really appreciated. While filling out the paperwork, she also provided my husband and I with ample time to discuss our options. Paul Ayoub was also great when it was time to sign all the paperwork. He was patient as clearly explained the process. Days after our purchase, Jenna called to ensure we were still happy with our purchase and encouraged us to contact her again with any additional questions. So, overall great customer service and a good deal for our SUV! I highly recommend this team. 😊

I did my 45k maintenance and Ms. Patty Brown able to help me out today. Ms. Patty Brown did a awesome job just like my previous visit at Toyota Kearny Mesa. I came to Great Lakes Illinois and now I’m station here in San Diego. When I need a place to do my car maintenance I start searching for sa Dealership that value customer, great and quality services so I found Toyota Kearny Mesa, read most of the review with are quite amazing so I decided to get my maintenance done. My first visit was amazing and Ms. Patty was great. So today and scheduled my 45k maintenance on my car and talked to Ms. Patty again, once again Ms. Patty Deliver a wonderful service. I pay my bill and they gave me a military discount which I really appreciate and thankful for that generous act.*** NOW, I’ m ready to leave and I did check my car make sure everything good to go. Come to find out upon checking my car I discovered that WHO EVER Did the maintenance at the back they didn’t ROTATE MY TIRE so I did talk to Ms. Patty and told me she didn’t know about it so she call somebody from the back and they told her they DIDN’T ROTATE the Tire. My point is I TRUST THEM TO DO A MAINTENANCE on my car but they failed to do the job properly, knowing I drive this car everyday and my SAFETY is really important to me. I had my vehicle in for service on October 12, 2021. My tires were not actually rotated like they should have been as part of my 40k service. I know this because I had marked them before taking my vehicle in. If my tires didnt get rotated, what other service that I paid for did not get done either? Was my oil changed? Were my differential and transfer case fluids actually drained and filled?

I reached out to Kearny Mesa Toyota on Aug 18 about a used vehicle. Daisy Romano (email footer says BDC Representative) reached out Aug 19 at 8:30, confirmed the year and make of the vehicle, and informed me it would be ready to test drive Aug 20. In another email, we then set up a test drive for 10 AM. The morning of, I had called to see if I could push to 11. I was assured that was okay, and that I would be able to come in at 11 to test drive the car (the car model and year was also confirmed).I showed up at 11 to be greeted by somebody who attempted to call Daisy. She was out and about, so somebody else helped me but couldnt seem to locate the vehicle. About 20 minutes later of waiting, they told me they sold that car on August 14! I was quite frustrated as I had to go out of my way to arrange pet care, transportation, and time off of work. I simply asked how this was even possible and reiterated the events to them. I received no sympathy and was met with a condescending remark about lowering my voice and was asked if I wanted to look at other vehicles. I obviously declined that offer.All of the bad stereotypes Ive known about car dealerships were embodied by Kearny Mesa Toyota. Im not sure if the employees are incompetent, indifferent, or just rude, but this was a an eye-opening experience that I will never do business here. There seem to be an odd number of 5 star reviews with various bad reviews like mine mixed in... Anyone reading this please be careful, especially if you are making accommodations to look at vehicles.

I had my car serviced at this dealership for 20K but surprisingly the advisor called and told me that my car needs alignment back and frontI have my car for seven months only and now need alignment even I am the only driver and I feel no difference between day one and nowI felt disappointed and ripped off in awayI hope these people stop this behavior in the future and till the true need only

Accompanied my parents to KMT this morning to assist them in their purchase of a 2021 RAV4 XLE.Entered the showroom and immediately greeted by Alan F - very courteous and helpful, no pressure; very knowledgeable about the RAV4s features and functions.We already had our negotiated sale price in hand, we just needed to test drive. Alan handed the keys to me and said, enjoy the test drive, see you when you get back.We drove off the lot a couple hours later just due to paperwork but Alan hustled through the entire process and was very efficient. I highly recommend Alan F for a great experience.Paul in Finance was also easy to work with. Let him know that we werent interested in the add-ons and so we breezed through the signatures and he handed all contract docs to me on a USB stick...saved a tree

I was looking for a certain vehicle and I found one located at Kearny Mesa Toyota and my Sales Consultant was a young man by the name of Mr. Alex De Bella. One thing I would say about today’s generation is, most are not willing to go above and beyond and put forth the effort to be successful in life. But not this gentleman, I found Alex to be very professional in his line of work. My experience of purchasing my vehicle was a true pleasure, and in the finance department, I also had a wonderful experience with a Mr. Fraser Heaton. Really a 0 star review...Had my car for 5 days, and did not answer a phone call. I had to call the main line and be transferred to ANY Service specialist, where I was ignored AGAIN. After 2 days of calling, and multiple emails, I was finally connected to a service manager. I was told that my car was DAMAGED though there was no evidence of damage so was NOTs covered by warrantee. When I told them I wanted my car back from the service department to get a second opinion, from the dealership I purchased it from, and from my insurance (which is what I would need to do to get a $3000 repair on a bad sensor after 600 miles) they magically said that they would repair with no cost me figure. They seemed to be worried that someone would check their work and call BS that the car was hit or damaged. The note on my correspondence said that there was no damage on the car but damaged internally. When I spoke with a service agent (not my own cause he disappeared for days) he said that the wrong type of hit on the sensor could break it. I said that if a shopping cart came in and bumped the sensor it could break and cost me $3000 every-time it happened.. he said sure! They also said that they dont wash cars? I know we have to request car washes now, but when picking up the car they said they dont wash any cars there any more?!

Alan Ferreira helped us find the perfect hybrid for my elderly parents. They wanted a car with all the safety features that also sat higher than their older car and they ended up purchasing a 2020 Lexus 250h UX that just appeared on their lot that same morning. Recently bought a 21 Corolla LE. I got a quote online that looked good and visited the same day to possibly purchase a 2021 Corolla LE. Ian helped me first and provided the price. I asked for removal of some items in the price and he tried to help me with what he could and then Alan came by to help me even further to get the price down to an offer that was attractive and worked within my budget. The service department here is horrible. If you have any after market accessories added to your truck (like a light bar) then the service department will blame all future issues on that accessory even if the two systems arent even remotely related.My yaw sensor kept throwing an error and the service department refused to swap out the sensor and instead blamed the fact that I have a light bar. After 3 trips to the service department here I took my Tacoma to a garage where they swapped out the sensor like I asked. Problem solved and I still have the same light bar.

Went in the other day with the hope of purchasing a new car. After a few moments I noticed no one was available to speak with me. Then emerges Alan who comes to us with a warm greeting and salutations for our dog. He immediately brought out the car I immediately fell in love with to do a test drive. Had a bad experience here with one of their sales rep by the name of Josh Parker. From the start Josh was not friendly and seemed impatient. When my boyfriend and I asked questions Josh was short with their answers.When showing us the car Josh didn’t even talk about the specs of the car and just had me look at the car and go inside it. Since we were looking at the Prius Prime we also asked about the California rebate on plug in cars and Josh didn’t know anything about it. Which they should, I’ve even heard of it. Josh Did not seem knowledgeable as a sales rep.As our meeting went on Josh became impatient and their tone of voice got very rude and annoyed. Seemed like Josh just wanted to make a sale as fast as possible. My boyfriend and I did not feel respected as customers. Due to everything, we walked out.

Just went there with my girlfriend to buy a car, the sales there (a white young male, with mustache, did not get his name)was so condescending, he was inpatient from the beginning, look like he ate s*** seeing us to buy a car. When we wanted to test drive, he told us not to drive far, we dont have much car left. He even told my girlfriend that I dont feel comfortable you driving the car because she took the wrong turn. I bet they definitely sell car fast but if you are young minority couple, you are going to feel really bad going there, and they are going to pressure you, it was extremely bad experience.

I recently bought a RAV4 XLE Premium and so far it has been a great car!! At first nobody approached me but once I talked to Ian (salesman) he was incredibly friendly and helpful and he worked with me on everything to leave the dealership with the car I wanted and happy. The financing department was also great explaining everything and answering all my questions.. it was thanks to them two that I didnt go to other dealerships (my original intent) and left with a great experience.

I tried to go drive a Rava 4 Hybrid today at this dealership. I said I had narrowed my search down to 3 cars. I needed to drive each one.The representative said we only have a few. Not forthcoming. We did spend a decent amount of time haggling over price but we respected the fact that the had to make a living and he respected that I couldn’t spend all my money.We reached a deal that other dealerships straight up said that they couldn’t beat and weren’t willing to to try compete with it. Now a days it’s hard to trust a dealership we all know that people who got some bad experience due to some staff that they want to make easy money by bulk not by quantity in results bad job work. But those staff that works for the dealership and got hired was unscrupulous attitude they are destroying the prestige name of dealership, this is the most critical situation not knowing at the end where’s the customer they won’t come back anymore resulting no business means no customers. The management of the dealership should take good care of their staff cause this department are bringing revenue to run the business hope this review will enlighten some management in order to have a smooth business operation with good honest reputation, at the end everybody is a winner all are happy customers the mechanic and the management and the staff of the dealership.Reviews are the most important thing in the business industry, I should say and that is the KEY to a successful business.

After purchasing my certified pre-owned vehicle, I noticed a chip in my windshield. I initially contacted the financial person I had dealt with and received no response. After writing a poor review, I was contacted by Maria (customer relations) and she arranged to have my windshield checked for either repair or replacement. Jenn in service took care of me from that point on. My windshield ended up needing replacement, which they covered. Kearny Mesa Toyota should be glad they have these two people working for them, as they turned a one star review to a four star review (Maria and Jenn deserve five stars, but I can’t completely forget my initial experience).

I live in Chula Vista and have gone to the Dealership here on Main Street. However, I had some issues while being there. While driving to Kearny Mesa Toyota is quite a drive, its totally worth it. I had two cars serviced this week - standard oil change. Freddy Gonzales is really nice. He got me in and out of there and I loved the simple system. One thing I do wish though was to get my car back washed - they used to do this but probably had to make some changes somewhere along the way. Overall, absolutely love it and will be taking my cars here for service while I live in San Diego.

Before anything else, Id like to give you guys a little introduction of myself: Im an outdoor enthusiast - which means I like to hike, go camping and do a lot of off-road trips. My family and i use to have 2013 RAV 4, 2017 HONDA CRV AND 2002 BUGEYE SUBARU WRX WAGON. My honda crv got into an accident and was totalled last august 2018, rav 4 was sold to get the crv, so we only have the wrx. So we decided to shop around to compare what would be my next purchase.Last August 2018, I was shop-hopping different car dealer shops like Subaru, Honda and Toyota to find the perfect SUV for my extrovert lifestyle. When we got to Toyota Kearny Mesa, a sales rep, Mark G, came to entertain us. He was friendly and very accommodating, but I didnt want to seem too easy so I gave him a little bit of the cold shoulder. Nonetheless, he was persistent and very keen on helping, so after a little bit of a push and a little bit of convincing, we chose the new 2019 Toyota Rav 4.After 5 months of waiting, we finally saw and fell in love with the car which sealed the deal for us. Mark was, as always, very accommodating and very detailed. He even helped us choose the perfect trim! I am very grateful and satisfied with the customer service that Toyota Kearny Mesa gave - especially Mr. MARK GURTEL ! Very courteous but add $10k to the sticker price and that is your real cost. RIP.Edit: downgrade to 1 star after the dealer scammed me with fluff in the contract. It turns out the $10k was for their pockets and not for my car. I would never buy from here again not recommend it.

Overall, it was a good car buying experience. I didnt feel pressured to buy, and they honored the True Car price. What I didnt like was the extra mark ups on the car such as window tinting, fabric protection, and cell car unlock. I understand dealership needs to make their profit; however, most customers are looking for the best car price especially in tough economic times. Im glad I was able to negotiate these mark up to $0.

Waited a little after my scheduled appointment to get seen but honestly they inspected my car and verified a recall that didnt take too long. Hopefully they did it right! It was a fast service! To me, if a maintenance job or inspection was fast, it might not have been done right. but thats just me. These guys are actual Toyota mechanics so I trust there work on there Toyota vehicles since thats all they work on and trained for. Overall good experience!!

The best experience I have ever had at a dealership! Eric McCartney (salesman), Tom Nguyen (sales manager), and Paul Ayoub (financing) made the leasing process so easy! I was in and out in under 2 hours and had the rest of the day to enjoy my new car. They were attentive, reassuring and answered all the questions I had. The wait was a little long, but honestly the customer service was on point. I went to take my car to get maintenance and I had to take my baby with me. They were so helpful and kind into answering all my questions, and even offered to help carry the babies bag and car seat back to the car. They fixed all the issues and even offered me a discount! WHERE TO BEGIN. We brought in our vehicle for the 5k maintenance service. We set up an appointment for 10:20am. When we got there we asked them to also check the battery. We figured since we had an appointment, it wouldnt take too long.We waited for 4 HOURS. No update from the service advisor until I went to ask after 3 hours had elapsed. She essentially said that it could be that they were checking the battery at that time. Okay.....after almost another hour, the the advisor calls and lets us know that the car is ready.She was a sweet person but I feel like a good advisor would give you constant updates from the mechanic so we know what is going on.I cant imagine how long it would take to service your vehicle without an appointment.If you can, choose another Toyota dealership.

Dont know what happened but Ive been a service customer here not too long after purchasing my 2007 Camry and 2011 Sienna (purchased from different dealers). My last couple services have left me wondering if I want to continue to give them my business.The last visit I had over the past weekend prompted this review. I set an appointment and showed up 5 minutes beforehand. When driving up, I mustve selected the wrong lane because the other service lane moved considerably faster. Not sure why, but it is what it is. Naturally, I start getting irritated because Im sitting in my vehicle 15 minutes after my scheduled appointment. On top of that, the customer that drove up behind me was taken out of her vehicle to get her processed. What gives?! Anyway, when I finally was seen, I bring up an issue with my control panel for the doors and moonroof (I brought it up before) and also a noise I hear when the sliding door is in motion (I have an extended warranty BTW). They take the van and Im on my way.When the service rep calls to tell me my van is ready, he states the control panel for the doors and moonroof had to be ordered and will arrive Tuesday. No problem there. I get the van back and there was no reminder of the next service sticker in the windshield. And the way they corrected the noise of the sliding door looked as if they sprayed the entire track with some sort of lube. It looks unprofessional and messy to say the least. I never receive a follow up for the control panel and its already Thursday so I called and left a message. Havent received a call back. It makes me wonder if they want to honor the extended warranty. Ill give them a chance to give a good impression. Otherwise, Ill have to find another place I can feel good about servicing my vehicles like I used to feel at this location.

Went here for a quick tire pressure check.I would fill up my tire with air and maybe 2 days later the tire pressure light would come on. (happening for 3 weeks straight)Sean helped us but was extremely rude and we felt mistreated because we were Asian. Dont go here. Mossy is better.

I bought my Toyota RAV4 from JR Santos at Kearney Mesa Toyota a year ago and by far, this was the best experience I’ve ever had at a car dealership. I was quickly greeted at the entrance and introduced to JR and I honestly can’t say enough good things about him. I wasn’t sure if I was going to buy my lease out or buy a new car and he gave me such great, honest advice to help me make my decision. He had no gimmicks and was not just trying to push me to buy a brand new expensive model like a lot of other car salesmen I have met. I honestly wish I knew more people looking to buy a car so I could recommend him to them.

I got a true car rate and a rep reached out to me via email. I made 4 appts to various Toyota dealerships and had to cancel the other 3 because this dealership plays no games. They gave me the true car rate from the start and my dad was able to negotiate some extra savings as well. I have been here before and received horrible service to the point where I bought my car next door at Lexus. But this time, ask for Bobby Estrada, he may look young, but he will not waste your time and provided honest quality sales service which is difficult to find at any dealership.
