Worst experience of my life. On December 2nd of 2015 my husband and I needed to have our house remodeled. My husband suggested using his brother-in-law Mike Reyes who happened to work at San Diego Rock and flooring. We thought by using this reference that we would be protected but that surely wasnt the case. On December 2nd of 2015 we signed a contract for over $28,000 to have our house remodeled and have all of our materials returned to us after the job was complete. There were so many issues throughout the entire remodel about each category of their work. The Mayland cabinets they were very low quality and not what where shown when choosing our cabinets. There were so many disputes of the quality of the cabinets that went into my house it was horrible. Constant battling with the contractors in the quality was a main issue. The cabinets where so bad that in the Lazy Susan area of the cabinets that I had put in and started to fall apart within a month of them putting it in. It took them until April of 2016 to get that door back in my kitchen laze susan door that was damaged thats more than a year and a half. I felt like I had to beg to get anything completed correctly.Workers also left closet doors and their materials just laying around and piles at my house for months after they felt that the job was completed. They poured out the grout for all the tile work they did on my backyard lawn area which nothing will ever grow again. In addition I think some of it even went down the drains that go along the side of my house that are now no longer draining as they did before their working began. Several marks on my freshly painted walls downstairs that are still there. This whole remodel states on the contract that all my materials would be returned to me pertaining to the Granite that was cut and I had taped off areas of the slabs when I bought them for the areas in my house that needed to be covered. They clearly took what they wanted and gave it to Mike Reyes my husbands brother-in-law and they put that in his house without my approval. My husbands family asked me over for Easter and 2016 where they showed me the materials that they took and put into their bathroom without my permission. San Diego Rock and flooring needs to follow the Law and each piece of cut granite is tagged and placed for the customer. I got whatever was left and they just put it in my house as is I didnt get first choice. I never received anything in return and my house was left without the correct granite that was need to match my home with. This whole affair has been handled in the most disrespectful way and when I try to contact management they seem to want to yell and talk down to me when they clearly havent follow the law. Michel Murad attempt to try to fix many of these issue but laws have been broken. Michel Murad offered to get some granite that didnt match the granite that was supposed to to be placed in my home as a consolation Nothing matched. We had materials and a sink more granite what was just laying around for months in their yard and our downstairs bathroom that just sat for months incomplete. At that time I had received my Navy comp and Pen case because and I was horribly injured in the line of duty serving our country in the Navy. I told them this was how I was going to pay and they clearly took advantage of me while destroying any relationship that I was attempting to have with my husbands family. I will post the pictures of the Granite slabs I bought then a cut away picture of how I found my granite in Mike Rayes home. The a close up of their bathroom granite vs. my property. Funny thing about this when I called Michel Murad she completely agreed as to the fact that of that granite being mine! These people have done far more then just take my granite for my home they destroyed my personal relationship with my husbands family. Now Im left to having to sue San Diego Rock and flooring for these terrible acts against me. Yes I will be in contact with California State contractors board of these issues.
I had a wonderful experience here. I went to select laminate flooring, material for kitchen countertops and carpeting. Eric, who assisted me, was knowledgeable and incredibly patient. He quickly understood my preferences and brought out multiple samples, helped me narrow them down, and answered my many questions. When I left, I felt 100% positive about all my choices. His two associates were equally helpful and friendly, and Id recommend San Diego Rock and Flooring to anyone building or remodeling a home.
