This place is good for tea, coffee, small snacks and scones. They also have gluten free offerings. Unfortunately they run out of stuff. I believe they might get their food delivered from elsewhere like the quiche for example. Their egg sandwich they make on the spot. Good place to get some food when you want something small and did not make reservations at the other 2 restaurants on the property.

Great tasting coffee. It is inside the Bernardo Winery complex, and matches the rustic industrial chic. The food was fresh and tasty. Service was at a relaxing pace. Portion size are healthwise so dont worry about being stuffed. I would like to go back for the protein bowl.

Knowledgeable and super friendly, they understand good coffee and take their time to talk to their guests.Traveling through Poway and came in today to buy some local coffee. The team here took the time to tell me about their roasts, share about their sourcing practices, and their passion for coffee. They were super welcoming and helpful. Made me feel right at home.Ended up trying two different pour-overs: Panama and Ethiopian. Both were delicious, and so was my lox toast. The entire grounds are just gorgeous and offers a variety of attractions from local shops to wine tasting and restaurants. Really enjoyed my morning exploring around there and will have to come back one evening to check out that vibe.Their outdoor seating is so relaxing, surrounded by greenery and flowers - felt like the perfect escape from the city.

Lovely, peaceful atmosphere, gracious, friendly service, delicious and affordable menu! I had the simple egg and cheddar breakfast sandwich and the house-made iced tea with a shot of homemade lavender syrup. Also, sometimes I may like decor, or a product of a place but then they play loud and depressing Emo music and it ruins the whole thing for me. Not here! I sat on the patio, but the music playing inside was peaceful, and at a good volume!

I visit San Diego frequently, and every time when I want to enjoy some freshly roasted beans I fail due to espresso bars business hours (they close in the afternoons). I found this place to be open until 6pm. Even though it was 30 minute drive I took a chance after work. I am glad I did. It is in a small courtyard, part of a vineyard, with other fun activities like live music and a food truck. People sitting around relaxing with their wine glasses, or in my case with their coffee cups. I drank enough coffee that day so I had a mocha with their decaf beans. It was very flavorful, if you need in decaf beans without a big comprise on the taste this is it. I also brought back a bag of El Gaucho, their espresso blend with me. It was a medium roast, so you wont get the bold (sometimes burned) flavor which is perfect for me. It smells good, it produces good crema, and it does not stick to the basket. Employees are knowledgeable and friendly. Overall, its a great place to get fresh beans or chill over the weekend.

The cutest coffee house! Total gem inside of Bernardo Vineyard. The roasters are so friendly and knowledgeable and the coffee itself is smooth and delicious, got a cold brew on the spot and ground beans to go which was perfect at the Airbnb the next morning. Also shared a quiche with the group that satisfied our wine hunger.

This roaster is not messing around. This is high level coffee in a completely unexpected place. Consistent roast and consistent pull of espresso. They will even make you a draft latte (ice latte with foamed milk) if you ask. Love this place.

I had a great time speaking with the owner. He was kind enough to take the time to talk with me about the various beans. Its a unique little coffee roasting space that is in an area with other shops around. The beans were roasted that day. I will definitely be back to get more freshly roasted beans.

This may not be a good assessment of the establishment. This is just my experience and honest feedback. I believe the establishment has good roast, however, the skill of the barista and the lack of attention to detail the brewing process may have lessen the tasting experience for me. The place was busy and with only one person attending the cashier and the bar. I would definitely buy some beans and try to brew at home next time I am around the area.I also would like to add that the coffee cup had an off smell, I suspect it was dried with towel that had off smell. I also was put off by the carafe cap looking a bit dirty. It may not have impact the taste of the coffee, but just not pleasant to look at.

Top 5 coffee shop in all of America. The coffee and espresso are exceptional. Staff is incredibly warm and welcoming, I think they know every customer by name. Lots of indoor and outdoor space to work, meet, and enjoy the San Diego weather. Really fast, reliable Wi-Fi. Bonus: its at a winery, just in case you plan on staying after 5PM.
