It’s so good I went here twice in one day. I ordered their iced coconut buzz with a shot of caramel and it tasted like a Samoa cookie. Their açaí bowls are huge and they taste amazing. Staff was super friendly and everything was clean. My aunt got me their vanilla powder mix to take home and I love it. Wish I had a Better Buzz here in KS (no, there is nothing in KS)!
Better Buzz has gotta be my favorite coffee spot in SD. Mainly because I love the products and I adore the aesthetics. Their styling and branding is bold, current and madly popular. The smiths were playing overhead and I sang along to This Charming Man while some cold foam splashed onto my fedora and my sunglasses fell into my avocado toast.Ok.jk that didnt happen but I DID sing along to the smiths as it played. The coffee and other products are great, a little on the expensive side but I feel like youre paying for that strong branding and prime san diego real estate so gladly you hand over your hard earned money with a smile each and every time. Take my money, please, I insist... Their string of cafes all seem to have an open airy feel to them. Quite modern and often functional designed spaces with lots of natural light and chic house plants that command you notice. This time I only had an acai bowl as part of a series-gone-quest to find the best Acai Bowl in SD.While I loved their rendition, it was just basic and not over the top as I would expect from BB. Granted I did order the most Basic B!+ch of the 3 thst they offered.. Full of berries and banana, the portion of granola was generous and added an element of texture and crunch through the entire experience in a way that I appreciated and loved. By basic I dont mean tawdry... no not even. I mean its simple and predictable and probably very consistent and thats a good thing for when youre just needing to fill a fix. I personally LOVE when there are cacao nibs, mango, pineapple and chia seeds included and this bowl was missing those things. This Acai Bowl is a solid BBut the caffe, its staff and its Corporation in total get 5 stars from me.
We texted then called DoorDash and they said its up to Better Buzz since they handle the payment side. *The ordering site is Better Buzz branded and through their website, with delivery by Door Dash.I called Better Buzz again this morning, and the gal was friendlier and said her boss would call me back. She did and said the issue is with Door Dash. Since they remember preparing each item in our order.I said it sounds like Im stuck with the issue of having paid for something that wasnt delivered. She said yes probably.I have happily overlooked several little hiccups over the past 16-17 months and consistently tipped well. These kinds of issues (where businesses dont even try to make it right) leave a sour taste in my mouth. They have a drive through.Business is good.Empathy is absent.Creativity to make it right is lacking.Im not thrilled with our local coffee shop.At the same time, I think #doordash, #grubhub and #postmates provide consistently terrible service at innane prices.
The coffee was good but wasnt my favorite taste. Good Prices. You would enjoy !
Excessively kind staff; immaculate professionals. These folks will go out of their way to brighten your day. They extract bean liquid like it is literally their job with utmost efficiency and attention to detail. I recommend oat milk iced latte w extra shot. Whoever makes the rules: please allow your staff to use Spotify. Pandora sucks because it plays too many repeats and Spotify has a significantly better playlist surfing function. 👁👄👁
Very nice specialty coffee local chain in San Diego. With multiple locations, it can be a great place to take a break from your busy day, and relax for a bit. The setting is quite charming and nicely done, and the food and drinks consistently good. They serve all of the classics, plus you can also replace a meal at home with some good food options. Check it out... and tell us what you think?
Staff nice. Service is fast. I dont drink coffee but their tea is really good. I tried them all but I thik the best one was Summer Passion. Lots of flavor. What I dont like is the internet is terrible. Its could and should be much better. Otherwise, no complaints.
Really good coffee here. Try the Best Coffee Ever, especially iced. Acai bowls are also very good and sone great coffee/pastry specials daily. Lines can be long, but the staff are friendly and the wait is pretty worth it in my opinion.
Awesome location right in the heart of PB. I love making a stop here during my morning runs. Staff is always friendly and wonderful; the store has a great atmosphere that makes you never want to leave.Manager and staff are committed to great service & products and thats clear when you have some of their delicious coffee. Smoothies and Acai bowls are also superb, highly recommend!
The “best drink ever” was pretty good. Would only recommend for people who like sweet drinks.
The vegan breakfast sandwich is fantastic! One of the best vegan sandwiches I’ve ever tasted, I’m usually a carnivore type. Really puts Starbucks to shame. Compared to the food here, Starbucks seems inedible.
Avocado toast was good. Didn’t really like the açaí bowl and the latte was just okay. The ambiance is really nice
Love their coffee and their customer service!!!I was having a hard day with my toddler crying in the back seat and the sweet young man taking my order paid for my coffee. Thank you to that worker !!!
Coffee is good but the blonde female barista on the morning shift is just rude. Plus none of them apparently know how to wear a mask correctly. It goes over your nose.
Great little coffee spot to bring your kids and your dogs. The coffee is on point and the food is choice, especially for healthy eaters in a hurry, if you dont mind paying $11 dollars for a piece of toast. It is a really big piece of toast 🤷♀️
We came to get codfe and acai bowl and it took them one hour at some point I ask to see what was the update they said they were working on it Then i waited another 36 min and nothing save your
Very good customer service! Super kind and good vibes! Best vanilla latte in the country!🤍
Came in from out of town and had to see what the hype was about and it was worth the 20 min drive from where I was staying. Had a Carmel Latte with almond milk the first day and then the best drink ever the next day. Both time the drinks were remarkable. Would definitely recommend giving this place a try!
Aside from their coffee being amazing--the employees were super nice too!
My husband and I were regulars at a different location, the drinks were always made differently every time we went, so we decided to try this location and it’s perfect. Wyatt has remembered our order and always makes sure they are made great. He is exactly what we look for when it comes to customer service. Keep him as long as you can! He has made us practically everyday customers!
Oh my gosh! I came here not only due to my dark roast coffee addiction but because I was told its a must go if you are in the area.Visiting from Northern CA and I get Wyatt to serve me. What a pleasure he was & full of recommendations. Best customer service ever! Thank you BB!
I hadnt realized there were so many locations in PB, and they seem to stay pretty busy in general. My order was ready unbelievably fast! Will definitely visit again.
Great location and nice open patio. Service was quick and the drinks consistent
Drove thru for an afternoon pick me up. We ordered a hazelnut latte, Horchata latte, and a Mexican spicy hot chocolate. Very nice!
So my coworker just brought me a coffe from here. OMG amazing.. Its the best coffee Ive had in a long time.. This is so going to be my spot for coffee. Really great flavor, good price and so close to work. Will Definately Be Going Back.
My favorite spot for coffee in SD! Great outdoor patio complete w swing chairs, friendly staff, self-serve water, and bathrooms for customers.
This place is always busy .... But worth the wait! .... Especially for great coffee drinks! ( I had my usual Carmel Buzz.)
Loved it. Great service, awesome location and wonderful food and drinks.
Croissants are 100% stale. Coffee is better than Starbucks and if you need a frappuccino you will be pleasantly surprised how much better the coffee is than Starbucks. However, if you are more of a 3rd wave coffee person, this falls short in taste and vibe. It has that conjoined corporation feel. Also, I would guess they source all of their baked goods from a bakery that makes them no sooner than a full day before.
One extended weekend in SD and Im hooked on Better Buzz. I did a tour and hit up 3 locations, this one may have been my favorite... Great vibes with amazing decor, plus equipped with a swing out front and cornhole? Yes please! I never knew that I needed these at a coffee shop until now. Columbian pour over was the perfect way to start the day. My only regret was not getting thw avocado toast.. until next time.
Best iced mocha!!! Parking is odd, but cool people watching!
Ordered a pour over, but waited 10 minutes for an Americano. Even the barista slipped up and called out an Americano, instead of a pour over. Do yourself a favor, spare yourself $1 and about 8 mins and order an Americano.
The staff is pleasant and you cant go wrong with the mint infused coffee!
I ordered a hot latte and when they handed it to me it was room temperature. I asked for it to be heated up and instead they made a new one which took 7 minutes waiting in the car line. No offer to make up for the inconvenience. just a sorry.
Not too bad pretty good stuff
Staff is super rude
Best drink ever is really the best drink ever. I cant get enough.
The coffee is smooth and tasty. Lines can be long but it is a yummy taste.
Super friendly service! Also got to try delicious muffins !! Highly recommended!!
It is now 1245, I ordered my pastry and OG açaí bowl at about noon. It’s probably the best OG açaí I’ve ever had. Well played, Better Buzz west, well played.B. Buzz east PB, you need to up your game.
Very Good Vanilla Ice, and Hazelnut Coffee
Had to place our order online because the inside was closed. So glad we stopped because everything was amazing. Avocado Toast (add bacon) and the Açaí Bowls we’re both super tasty. Highly recommend!
The quality here is great, along with the workers! I also love the decor in the coffee shop!
Awesome help with choosing coffee beans & ☕ too! Thank You PranaHands for inviting me💗
Yummmmmmm. It is well worth the wait.
Its so appetizing. The staff was very friendly and attentive. It has a cool interior.
Love this place! Had The Best Coffee
Worst customer service I’ve ever experienced. The guy in the front is absolutely the rudest person I’ve ever came in contact with. He couldn’t find my order but instead of trying to fix the situation he had some smart comments about it. Will never be back to this location! The one down the street know what’s up and are actually kind human beings.
Such an outstanding staff, very polite and well mannered. Cant wait to go back, oh and the breakfast sandwiches were absolutely incredible.
Great coffee, food and service. A wee bit pricey.
Not sure you can get any better than Better Buzz. The cutest cozy shop but more importantly great service and delicious drinks. Obsessed with their vanilla lite buzz. So good! Even the food is tasty. Just wish they had a perks card like Starbucks :)
Great drinks and friendly staff. Lines can get long, but its worth the wait.
Lovely little coffee shop tucked away in sunset. Its pretty easy to miss, just look out for the wooden sign hanging outside. Another one of those instagrammable places, I recommend the titanic latte if you want the aesthetic pic - it comes with a huge square marshmallow and also has chocolate spread in it. My friend tried the mocha latte, which was also really good. Drinks werent too sweet and there wasnt a line when we went on a Sunday morning. Wouldnt expect to study here though, they have wifi but very limited seating.
This coffee shop is really cute. The decor is beautiful, food and coffee is tasty and the service is friendly and quick.**THEY HAVE A DRIVE-THRU**There is some seating inside, and I believe a table or two outside -- if I remember correctly, they definitely have at least 1 table outside off the entrance. Upstairs they have additional seating. In the sense of ordering your coffee and food, this place is pretty traditional. You order your items at the counter and grab a number and a table (if youre dining in). The only bummer is that you have to pick up your coffee but its not that big of a deal, I just wish I was made aware to pick up the coffee - especially since they give you a number. The food was delivered to the table though.I ordered the Honey Latte which was BOMB! The Vanilla Latte was good too.We also tried the Avocado Toast with Feta- it came on a thick slice of bread. I loved it. I thought it was hearty and healthy.I definitely plan on coming back here again. I hear the Matcha Latte is amazing too.
Literally no idea who does the hiring at any of the better buzz locations but they should be fired as well as all the lackadaisical staff. Their online ordering system is absolutely garbage and should probably go request information from Starbucks on how its actually done.
The team goes above and beyond to make sure you get exactly what will make your day better. I can’t thank them enough for their high spirited attitudes and constant flexibility during these times!
Love the decor.. however, for me, the coffee was okay.. hated that they let it sit and melt down (it was a blended drink) before giving it to me, but still a coffee spot we hit up when we visit San Diego nonetheless.
Delicious coffee and matching tea.
Excellent coffee drinks, with a gluten free food selection! The atmosphere is unique and inviting. Prices range from average, to pricey, however we were not disappointed. A San Diego gem of a coffee chain. The friendly staff were a nice bonus.
Coffee and teas taste really good. Their have a great variety of coffee and teas. They also sell acai bowl and sandwiches. The location has a good seating indoors and outside patio seating. The only thing I dislike was the horrible loud music. Requested order to go because of the nasty loud music. They also have a drive-thru.
Had to order online because of the Rona and it took 25 minutes to get my coffee. Lots of cars were in and out of the drive through while I stood around outside. Frustrated.
Good coffee. I got an almond milk latte and it was the perfect temp to start taking big sips👌🏻
Coffee is always the better buzz...when I lived in San Diego and would frequent PB for its eclectic and delightful boardwalk, I would stop in this coffee bean workshop for a Cafe Americano or their version of a Vanilla Latte. Today, I just needed to pee. A trendy urban loft with 2 exits doors and a window out to the lot made my long wait for the onesy lavatory tolerable as I crossed my legs and did the pee-pee dance. The guy holding me up had not been pooping, or if he was, it was the freshest smelling poo ever. Nonetheless, you can tell a lot about an eating establishment by how the restroom is kept. Better Buzz gets high marks from me based on this factor and their fun assortment of coffees and treats.
Grand opening. Had a large cappuccino with extra foam which didn’t seem strong enough, but I didn’t specify the milk. Very nice decor and seating with outdoor seating upstairs. The menu was on point with breakfast, pastries, ice cream and Açaí bowels! Worth stopping by :)
This is my favorite busy bone coffee shop right smack dab in the solar plexus of PB. Try the best drink ever - you may not think so, but theres no denying it is pretty dang good. Always a hot spot for the hip young and attractive. Reminds me of a spot in Echo Park, the name of which escapes me at the moment. Parking isnt plentiful but thats just PB. No better coffee! ☕ ☕ ☕
