My favorite coffee shop! Great atmosphere, delicious coffee and food, and always wonderful music playing on the record player. You can tell the owners put a lot of hard work and love into this place, and it feels great to support a local business. I took my parents here when they came to visit San Diego and they loved it too!

Love coming here before work every morning. The guys are great. I usually get the caramel macchiato with oat milk. ☕ That drink adds a great kick to my morning. Really cute decor on the inside too. I highly recommend them. 👌

We ate here on a Sunday and got in line at 12:50 (after we got done walking around the lake). The wait to get in wasnt too bad and was so worth it. The food is amazing and delicious. Service was great, fast and super friendly. Would definitely come back when Im in town.

First time here and it wont be my last. Its beautiful and dark with a lot of green plants! The energy is zen and comforting. Its very clean! Guest service was amazing and quick. I ordered a large hot heavy cream latte with an extra shot and topped with cinnamon. Their espresso is on the citrus side if you are a familiar with different roast. Nice tang to it, not to be confused with bitter. I also ordered a pina colada smoothie for my roommate, he loved it! New coffee shop for sure!

Chill vibe, enough seating with chargers if you’re looking to study/work.

Its official, San Carlos San Diego now has a cozy, modern coffee house! The staff are so friendly, & the atmosphere so serene! Loved the fresh mint leaves in my simple coffee, too! The soft opening is daily 10am-5pm, & then Feb 1, 2019 the extended hours will begin from 7am-8pm! Perfect place for studying, having a meeting/date, or just relaxing. Board games are coming soon too!

I’ve been coming here since they opened and I love it so much! The decor is gorgeous, the prices are very fair, and it’s in a great location. I usually get the hot chai latte which tastes amazing; I honestly haven’t been able to replicate the taste with my own chai. The staff is super friendly and quick. I loved studying here after school and listening to music from the record player.

This is my go to place for my morning coffee. Great service, great people, great coffee. This coffee house has mastered the art of expediency while still paying attention to detail. I feel special when I come here, I know them by name and I won’t be going anywhere else! You won’t regret making this your regular coffee shop.

EXCELLENT coffee with a very classy and relaxed environment. I have tried most of the coffees on their menu and several pastries, all of which Ive really loved. I especially recommend the Simple Special coffee, which has fresh mint and is absolutely heavenly!The Simple Coffee House is owned by a family who is so, so friendly and hospitable. They told me that they worked very hard to be able to open their coffee shop, and their passion for it truly shows. I was so pleasantly surprised when they remembered my name and asked how my sister was doing, since last time I was there I had mentioned that I was buying some coffee for her. Definitely the best customer service Ive ever experienced. Without a doubt I feel that their high-quality coffee and pastries along with their warm, family presence are valuable additions to our neighborhood. Even though theyve only recently opened, I already know that their business is going to thrive.Other aspects that I really like are that they have free Wi-Fi, sugar-free coffee syrup, and a stamp card system (if you buy 10 coffees, you get a free one).

What a find! Went on a mid-week hike through oak canyon trail and found this place about 6 mins away for a quick coffee.The place seems like a local favorite and we can see why! Great vibe and customer service.Ordered the the simple special- mint latte and the viennese coffeee -honey cinamon latte; & a turkey croissant sandwichEverything was delicious but our favorite was the house special mint latte! Honestly it was so refreshing on a hot day when you get it iced.Will be back

We love the strawberry banana smoothies at The Simple Coffee House. They put fresh strawberries & bananas on top! Spacious and nicely decorated. Plenty of power strips & outlets to charge your phone while visiting. Friendly customer service. I prefer TSCH over Starbucks.

Friendly service, great coffee, and plenty of seating. This neighborhood coffee shop is the antidote to the chains. The WiFi is great, so I often pick The Simple Coffee House as an alternative environment to get some work done. Its also a terrific place to meet a friend since you know there will be a (clean) place to sit.

The vietnamese latte was very good and I enjoyed my ricotta and jam toast, the plants all along the walls were a nice bonus!

Stopped in here with friends while we waited for a table at Trail Eatery next door & were super impressed! The staff was so nice, service was fast, & the overall atmosphere was chill & quiet! Felt like a very zen library with low key chatter & excellent coffee. Will definitely be back!

Although there was only one man working, he still gave AMAZING quick service!!Usually people will rush to get to the next customer, but he gave exceptional customer to everyone!!!And the food/drinks was DELICIOUS, especially the avocado toast

Absolutely delicious. The staff is always amazingly kind and the food is delicious. I always get their mocha or espresso with the avocado toast. Its a perfect place to study, so quiet and with plenty of charging ports for laptops and the like. I recommend it to everyone I know.

This place is cool. Just chill and have a coffee and croissant sandwich. Staff is nice. Seems to be every wifiless screen writer and teen go to space. They have good tunes and an enjoyable atmosphere. Worth a visit.

This place is great! The staff is so friendly. Ive come here multiple times and whatever Ive ordered has always been great. I highly recommend the simple special. This is a great place to come and study, or meet up with your friends. The decorations add the the cozy atmosphere. So happy they opened up.

The people who own The Simple Coffee House are super-nice and very friendly! Their prices are decent and the coffee is good! They have coffees to suit many tastes. TSCH is also a great place for friends to gather for a chat or to study alone if you wish. I go there as often as I can because I believe in supporting local businesses.

Truly one of the best coffee houses in the area. Lovely decor, the music is amazing, and the workers are truly some of the nicest people. I love going there to work, and its popularity amongst the high schoolers and workers in the area is well-deserved. Their options on the menu are delicious, and I’m always happy to support such a wonderful small business.

I love this place! The owners are extremely friendly and very welcoming. They are inspiring entrepreneurs and have a love for coffee and a love for people that shines through every time I come in. Love this coffee house. It’s the perfect place, where people come to study, talk or meet. The space feels more like a community, rather than a Sunday brunch place or a kitschy spot for photos for the gram.

Great atmosphere and incredible drinks. Slightly pricier than most cafes but well worth the cost for the over all flavour and quality of drinks. Plenty of plugs for laptops or charging. Bonus: they have a record player and loads or vinyl for you to play for free.

Friendly and helpful service! Got their new Earl Grey boba drink with almond milk. Was pleasantly surprised that it tasted a lot like Fruit Loops cereal milk, which I love! I would have given it 5 stars but their boba wasnt as soft or chewy like TE and KFT. If they improve their boba, I wont have to drive to Kearny Mesa or Rolando for a boba drink ever again.

Located in the shopping center on Jackson and Navajo, this coffee shop is by far my favorite in SD. Very lovely place, with reasonably fast wifi, 2 restrooms, small foods (fruits, bread, desserts), simple drink menu, and spaced out seating (~40 open seats). Thanks to my friend, who was noodling around on google to find a new coffee shop to study at, we stumbled upon this hidden gem. Walking in, we were awed with their decor and the wholesome atmosphere. We saw a vinyl record of Bohemian Rhapsody and the barista immediately offered to put it on their little record player at the counter where we ordered our drinks. With their simple menu, we ordered some green tea and chai tea latte and were delighted by the drinks. I later ordered their cappuccino and fell in love with the foamy espresso. Our drinks were made with such care and sincerity its like youre drinking elixir of life. Every time I walk in I am greeted with such warmth, as though we were family. ; they can count on me being a regular! I wish theyd open later cause I can spend a whole day here just chilling.

Excellent new find! Ample and easy parking, ample space and outlets, good Wi-Fi, nice assortment of coffee, tea, and food. Staff were warm and welcoming and made sure I had everything I needed. Decor is beautiful and my green tea latte came with an insta worthy latte art, but my phone camera is busted so I couldnt document :) Will be back many times!
