A fun little place to get ice cream while out walking around shopping and having a nice day. Friendly super quick service and tasty treats! I couldnt finish mine and neither could my friend.

Great ice cream. Rude service. I went back to the counter to ask them for an ice cream cup. They wanted to charge me $.25. I let them know that we ordered it in a cup, and I was just asking for the cup we ordered. They ended up giving the cup to me for free, but refused to acknowledge my presence thereafter and insisted that I was the one that ordered wrong. Im guessing they are trying to prevent 2 people from splitting/sharing ice cream by splitting it into a cup. Otherwise, I cant understand why the were so irritated with me. But, if they were really paying attention they would have noticed that we orders 5 ice creams for all 5 people in our group. Either way, its a mistake to be rude to your paying customers over a paper cup that probably costs them less than a nickle.

Picture perfect ice cream for practically perfect prices. Loved every bite. Generous portions. This was $6. We will be back!

It’s hard to not love Mr. Frostie. A San Diego ice cream staple, this spot has never disappointed me. They have a pretty big selection, ranging from sundaes to splits to various dipped ice cream cones. I’ve always been partial to the odd combo of cherry-dipped coffee ice cream. It’s also pretty cheap and the location lends itself to a nice stroll while eating/licking (they also have outside seating). Definitely gotta hit Mr. Frostie whether you’re exploring San Diego or just a native on another beach day.

We love this place and so does our little one. One of the few spots where you can get dipped cones! Usually a little bit of a line but always worth it.

Mr. Frosties has been a PB institution for a long time. They have 2 flavors, chocolate and vanilla plus a swirl and every single topping you can think of. What makes Mr. Frosties great is the quick walk-up window, tons of toppings, novelties, sandwiches, friendly service, and very affordable prices.

Wonderful soft-serve ice at a great value. Usually get a chocolate and vanilla twist cone dipped in butterscotch, but sometimes pick the special flavor of the month. This is definitely my favorite spot for soft-serve.

I thought the prices were on the higher side, until I started eating the ice cream and realized they didnt just put a tiny amount of hot fudge on top like the big chain ice cream places. It probably had as much fudge as ice cream, half way through I didnt think I was going to finish it, but had to because it was so good.

Classic soft serve ice cream sundaes. Large banana split or hot fudge sundaes with all the toppings for only $5. I got the All American it was definitely worth the price after a hot sunny day. Check it out after a long day at the beach. They have soft serve cones and shakes too. It a San Diego family tradition.

We stumbled across this place because we happened to park by it. This place has the bomb soft serve and is hella cheap. Paid less than 4 bucks for a large cone chocolate dipped. The large was big enough for my husband and I to share! Definitely making a trip back to this place!!!!

There is a sneaky parking spot next to the blue trash can (near sidewalk in corner of lot thats opposite of Garnet St) if lot and street parking is full. Expect a long line around dinner time. Plenty of table seating. Softserve Ice cream is exceptional, I get the sundae everytime so I cant speak on much else.

I remember this place very well. Up until like 35 years ago, my family came here a lot. They would give Dairy Queen and Tastee Freeze a run for their money. This is a very popular place.

I love it here. I had a cousin come into town and she asked me to go back here. This place has a nice feel to it. Feels like a cafe in Phoenix that I enjoyed visiting.

I would give this 10 Stars if I could! Its been around forever and its still wonderful. Soft ice cream just like I remember it and they do the chocolate topping and lots of other goodies. And the prices are still reasonable!

Best place for icecream

I called to find out their special flavor, but they had just ran out. The guy asked what flavor I would want..of course I said peanut butter. He fulfilled my request and a few hours later I was able to enjoy a delicious PB twist cone 😋My only complaint about this place is that their blizzard lacked candy, otherwise their ice cream is creamy and delicious.

Always love this place. Almost always a line. But worth it! Get the hot fudge malt or just a chocolate dipped waffle cone (whippy dip!). Hope youre around forever!

I was always amazed at how someone could put ice cream into hot melted chocolate and it wouldn’t melt. Instead, the chocolate would freeze. Haha. I’m glad my middle school was a block away and I could stop by this place on my way home!

The classic dirt cup is what I go for. No worms. Also one of the few places that actually do malts.

The ice cream here is so nice and rich. They have a great menu, that offers great choices for any of your ice cream needs. Theyve got shakes, floats, and sundaes among so many other things.Their staff are super friendly, and its fantastic to see a business involved in their community.

Very polite and courteous I got a good amount of food for just under $10. Ate there during pandemic everything else was take out only and had nowhere to eat outside but this place had a little picnic table area where I could eat. Very nice the girl that helped me was great.
