Sooooo good!! The Ah-Boong is waffle perfection and the soft serve is the perfect partner. Also enjoyed Taiyaki filled with custard and nutella. I liked the custard best because it wasnt overly sweet.

Milk flavored soft serve with their hot custard taiyaki is delicious 😋 the workers are super kind and helpful as well

Yummy soft serves! My favorite flavors are Ube and Matcha. I have yet to try the combo flavors but Im sure theyre good too. They are generous with toppings.

What a treat, soft serve is so refreshing. Taro filling with Ube, milk and mango with red bean filling, strawberry and honeydew, mango and custard, very yummy ice creams. Easy access from highway. Bit hard to find parking. A must place if you like desserts.

Ordered strawberry and ube soft serve with the fish cone, the fish cone was filled with Nutella, and opted for cookie crumbles on top. The whole selection worked out perfectly well with each other and was delicious. The soft serve was value for money too.

Very good first time experience. There was a very long line at first. Went for dinner at Pho Cow Cali first then line was down when we finished. Yummy flavors and toppings.

Something new to hit the sweet spot. If you have kids, theyll Ive it. The experience is great, watching them make the fish cones and fill it with ice cream. Had my son begging me to pick him up to watch.The milk is very sweet, so be prepared. My wife and I were able to share one and had our fill.The only disappoinment, is that the icecream melts very quickly, as you can see in the photos. An option is to have it placed on a cup, but that ruins the experience. If you have small kids, opt to have the cone flipped in the cup. We couldnt even enjoy the cone, as it was all soggy by the time we got to it (:/ )

Great ice cream shop with novelties that take it above & beyond. The flavors are great and the fish waffle is a nice touch. Will repeat

First time trying Somi Somi, and it was great. I got Oreo ice cream with Graham cracker and Oreo toppings. My reason for not giving 5 stars, is that it seemed to melt fairly quick. Will be going back soon.

Parking was pretty easy, this place is bigger than the clairmont one. I really liked their service and freshness. It was about 9 for ice cream and two fish.

Efficient service. Staff is friendly. Their ice cream somehow tastes better than their Convoy branch, but the portion seems a lot smaller. Ube ice cream is a hit. They have different combination ice cream every week.

Be careful. Their soft serve is so good -- that it might be addictive. They are definitely on my list for another visit.

Such a fun and unique ice cream experience! Everything trade every fresh and you can watch them make the fish cones. Very reasonably priced too! The portions are pretty big so do not be deceived!

Flavors were great for both yogurt and taiyakis, got a couple taiyakis undercooked but still good. Customer service was friendly and got our order quickly.

Somi somi has great soft serve (the matcha flavor is my absolute favorite). The Mira Mesa location has more flavor options and better parking than the convoy location but it has fewer seating options. Inside it is mostly standing tables whereas the convoy location has seats and tables both indoors and outdoors.

Very creamy ice cream with a delicious filling. The taiyaki is also very good.

If you havent tried their ice cream you should, and their warm fish cone with Nutella is amazing.

I love the Ube, Black sesame, coffee and Milk ice cream flavors! Unfortunately you cant mix flavors other than the prefixed ones they have such as Taro and Milk swirl or coffee and matcha. The cone is so tasty. I always get it stuffed with Nutella. They have a few great options for the stuffing. Very generous portions. Will definitely go back here!

So many unique ice cream options, and the Swirls Of The Week allow variety each time I visit! My girlfriend and I always share an upside down, with custard inside, and its always delicious.

Delicious soft serve ice cream with taiyaki (fish bread) and insert taro filings and sprinkled with cocoa pebbles decorated with macron or strawberry.... it’s really delicious and worth a try

Good place for kids. The inside of the dough is a bit mushy border line raw. Ive tried the other location in Irvine and recall it was cooked through. The staff was great and replaced it, but still did not come out right.

First time being here and I went with my friend.Usually we go to the one in Convoy, but this one Is close to our work.The parking lot is hard to get in and it out since there are so many businesses there.But this location seems to have different flavors & they have cute paintings on the wall.I got the fishy with the nutella and cookies & cream I believe. It was great, just a lot of ice cream. It didnt help that i had On the Border before going as well.Staff are friendly and efficient for only 2 people as well and I appreciate efficiency!Ill be back on my cheat day.

Somi Somi is a great addition to Mira Mesa. Delicious ice cream. Hope they can keep their doors open as it’s never busy. Just a little FYI to the owner: visited today - no chairs to sit in and enjoy our treats also the music was so loud we couldn’t have a conversation. Wanted to stay and enjoy but had to eat in the car.

Wish that they had more variety in flavors and the employees all disappeared to the back of the store and left the front completely empty for the 45 min.s we were standing inside of the store. THERE IS NO SEATING AT ALL INSIDE NO CHAIRS WHATSOEVER ONLY 2 BENCHES LOCATED OUTSIDE OF THE STORE.

I try to avoid this area if possible just because I dont like driving on mira mesa blvd but Somi Somi is a real treat. Had dinner in the area and came through Somi Somi for some ice cream afterwards. Wow. Love the presentation and the ice cream. Highly recommend 👍

I had 4 flavors of ice cream, coffee, mutcha, Oreo, and ube. None of them had flavor. 🤨 They all tasted the same. They seems like milk with sugar to me. I had way better soft serve and taiyaki elsewhere.

I dont normally eat desserts but I love the taiyaki they make here. Very similar to the taiyaki made in Japan. Red bean is the best--not too sweet compared to other Asian dessert places.

Reminds me of churrobar~trendy ice cream, it has good flavor and the place itself is very clean & nice~but the ice cream is very sweet, i ordered a cup and after 2 minutes i couldnt even taste the flavor anymore, all i could make out was the taste of sugar~and the menu is very limited, i dont know if thats just because it just opened recently but places like yogurtland have a far better selection of toppings and flavors~surprisingly not that expensive~the bungeoppang (fish-shaped pastries) is crispy, but suffers from the same sweetness overload~service is great, one of our pastries had small holes on the bottom, so they gave us 2 boxes (5 each) of the pastries for freeif you have a sweet tooth, youll love this place. if you dont, go somewhere else - the quality is great, but its too sweet for me
