Great selection competitive prices helpful employees way easier to buy lumber here

Unfortunately, not the best experience in this location and I hate giving bad reviews but I hope it helps the store improve down the line. I called initially to get help with a closet door replacement for a specific manufacturer that Dixieline works with. Unfortunately they transferred me to Steve from Doors and windows. Right away I could tell he had a condensing attitude towards me for no apparent reason. I told him the door type and model and he kept insisting that this was not a “simple” process. He first questioned me on the door model then the dimensions that I triple took and he kept insisting the door dimensions were off and he “had a hard time” believing the door dimensions were correct. Then I had to drive to this location to see if I had better luck. Luckily Steve wasn’t there and I talked to Dario who was a great help and helped me out right away without trying to make me feel stupid. Unfortunately when he tried to call the manufacturer the location was closed so he took all my information and promised me a call back that I never got. I then called back another day and unfortunately Steve picked up again and kept trying to make me feel stupid telling me he never got the information I left behind. Long story short I wasted 4 days trying to get help from this location calling and never getting a call back. I went to the another dixieline and got help right away and bought the door within 15 minutes.. I really wasted 4 days trying to get a door I really needed to replace for the incompetency and lack of professionalism this store provided.

This place is beyond terrible. I said hello three times to the cashier and literally had to move my head in front of her face before she even acknowledged me. Some fat lady who looked like she ate Twinkies for breakfast lunch and dinner and was having a hard time getting out of her chair to even get up and help me. No wonder the parking lot is always empty. I saw more green shirts than customers. A bunch of people walking around doing nothing and acting like they hate their jobs. The customer service is beyond below average and it’s amazing how many employees they pay to just walk around all day. I will never come here again the employees all have attitudes and it starts with management terrible place.

I wish I could give zero stars. They came out to measure doors and we purchased three. During installation, we learned one did not fit. They wont refund us because we signed the contract for the doors THEY measured. Poor customer service!

This place is awful. Employees walking around like they have no purpose in life. I was checking out and went to the wrong area by mistake. The guy was so sarcastic and condescending and acted like I was stupid. Then the cashier that checked me out was too busy talking to a co-worker and didn’t even look at me, ask me how I was, or even tell me thank you. My first time in a Dixieline and last time. There are too many options out there to be treated like this. No wonder there were more employees in this place than customers. Just bad

My team has been using Dixieline Lumber; Steve Armfield and his team for almost 25 years. They take care of us, they really care about the families whose homes we are remodeling and they go the extra mile to get them options that will work for them. These guys are first class. Selfishly, please dont make them so busy that we have to wait, haha!

Liz helped me today and I have not had service like this at a hardware store EVER. She must have called 3 different stores, 3 different times trying to find Christmas lights and a specific stain. If I still owned my business, I would do my best to steal her. 😊

They did not have what I needed even though there is a lot of Inventory in this store. Also I walked around the store for 10 minutes there was at least 10 Employees with nothing to do except inventory with nobody offering to help me which really bothered me. when I did ask somebody where something was, they pointed down a couple aisles and had me go find it myself, which I couldnt and then I had to find a manager. Why would the CS on the floor want to do this when theyre competing with home depot? The one positive thing I like is it a clean store with inventory, however they dont have a lot of different products with competitive prices which limits them for selling anything...not a happy camper with this store atm...

Ive always had great experiences at Dixieline. Great Lumber warehouse and really easy to work with in terms of their customer service. I definitely recommend them.

Really helpful. They knew what inventory they had and good knowledge of all tools.

This place is always clean and neat. The customer service here is always welcoming and there is always someone asking if they can help you find anything.

As a DYIer, I rarely go to Dixieline, but on the occasion I do, I get reminded that they just dont want to deal with the average public. I went to find things to unclog my toilet, and wandered the around the store looking for plumbing. Workers there look you right in the eye and keep walking. I was hassled trying to return a clearly unused plunger and snake (we cant take that back, is unsanitary). Ill stick with HD, Lowes, and Ace for all their faults, at least you dont get an attitude.

Dixieline is head and shoulders above the others for plumbing knowledge, lumbar quality and is just an al around great hardware and home improvement resource. The staff isn’t extremely helpful, knowledgeable and goes out of their way to help the average weekend warrior with their home projects. They have saved me a ton of money, and even more time with helpful hints, tips, and guidance that allows me to finish projects in one trip.

Went to Dixieline for oil finish for my patio cover. Despite signs on the doors requiring masks, both checkout clerks had their masks around their necks, and didnt pull them up until I asked. A manager who said he was in charge of safety approached me and asked if I had a problem, and I explained- but of course he was standing right there and could see for himself, and had done nothing to correct his employees. This is neither acceptable nor legal. I will not return until there is a Covid-19 vaccine, since the store clearly is not following California guidelines or even common sense.

Good selection and really clean when compared to HD. A lot easier for parking and shopping for that quick pickup stuff

6 people at the counter wasting time, didnt know where anything was only one girl circulation who ACTUALLY did know where everything was and took me to it. I used to enjoy shopping there. Employees were sharp and now seem ignorant and inpatient. A shame. Just another what was a awesome place to shop going down. Employees should be given 90 days to memorize everything you carry and be tested and be fired if they seem ignorant which is what most of them are right now.

Always well stocked and very helpful employees 😊Not the cheapest place you can go to get stuff.. But service and selection might be worth the extra cost.

Been building and remodeling most of my life and used many home improvement stores across the nation, but this one has the worst service and employees I’ve ever experienced. Totally useless with questions, after being passed to three people to find something, then when got to the lumber yard one couldn’t help and a young employee was sitting in lumber playing in his phone. I left and will NOT be back.

I always have a good experience at this store, the store manager is like 10 Home Depot dept employees rolled into one. For me, its the perfect size hardware store. I get in and out with what I need in less than a quarter of the time it takes at the megastores.They recently revamped and remodeled kicking up a four star visit to a five. Unless you need something super specialized, do yourself a favor, save some time and go to Dixieline, ESPECIALLY if you live in the area. (Note: I am not a professional contractor, just a do it yourself kinda guy, so my experience is from that aspect).

Horrible staff. I called letting them know I would be there right at closing time. They talked to the manager and told me to come anyway. I battled traffic and then they closed the door an did not open it even when people were inside.. I called and the phone and t went to a voice mail. Dont make your customers go through this if you are not willing keep your commitments. Be mindful. Will never come again...

The best hardware store. Rolled up at 3:56 on Sunday and they close at 4:00. They went out of their way to help us find the fittings we needed. Thanks again Dixieline.

Great service needed an exact color of paint in an 8oz can and not only did the guy get the color just right but he mixed it by hand

I went to dixieline to get some basic pressure treated lumber. I was told that I had to special order 6x6x10 even though it was at one of their other San Diego location. I was told it would take 3 days to have the material transferred. After 3 days it still wasn’t done. At this point I could’ve just gone there myself. When they told me it was ready I went there to pick it up but they couldn’t find the material. Very unorganized and unprofessional.

A little more expensive on some things but I think the product quality is better and there are knowledgeable sales people to actually help you.

Dixieline lumber on convoy is by far there best branch in town. No one else comes close to match in their customer service.

Not like before they remodeled. I went there Sunday and wanted to buy a storage box. The counter said 11 in stock but no one could find them. I got the display model. No one quite seems to know much.
