Support a local small business AND get sold out staples like flour and yeast same-day? Sign me up!These folks are offering an incredible service to our community and I really commend them for it. Big box chains are all slammed right now so you cant get a time slot for weeks out, tons of stuff is sold out, and if/when you finally get your produce, its not always selected carefully. Which is a bummer if you spent 2 weeks waiting for it!But with ASAP Produce, I can get many of the items I need right away with contact-free pickup or delivery. I put in my order and they called me when it was ready. I drove over and called them to let them know I was there. they brought out my groceries while wearing a mask and gloves. They opened up my trunk, put them in, and that was it. I ran a quick check after they went back inside and everything was there. Simple! I love it.The selection is pretty comprehensive. Theyre not going to have specific brand names you might be familiar with from a chain grocery store, but all of it seems to be good quality. Some of it might be higher quantities than youre used to, hence the slightly higher price point (loaf of bread for 5 bucks but its huge, probably double the size of a loaf from a chain store).Its the Wild West right now--theres no blueprint for what to do and people are having to get creative. Thats exactly what these guys are doing. Theyre just local restaurant folks trying to make food accessible to their community, and theyre doing an amazing job. Tip them well, wear a mask or cover your face when you go to pick up, and tell your friends!
