I like Mercato because they work with local businesses in NYC such as Myers of Keswick, which carries products from the UK including the famous Cornish pasties and steak & kidney pies. Anyway, the service was great and on time! Highly recommend it!

First time ordering from this store. I ordered 23 items, and prior to the delivery, they sent me an email stating that 5 items are out of stocks. But they only delivered 6 items. Where are some of them? I called their hotline and the agent told me to have a refund. Well, how about offer me a good service. Worst service and never will I order from this store again. I better stick to Amazon fresh.

I love shopping online for high quality local food items. Everything I have ordered has been outstanding. Wish the online shopping site would be more in sync with what the local store is advertising as available on their site - hopefully that is in the works, as it would be nice to not have to place two separate orders just to get everything that is available and/or is on special. I am a regular customer of Mercato Delivery Services. I love those people, They are quite professional and timely. Moreover, their customer service is quite prompt. If you get any issues, they will fix them very immediately.I have worked with other delivery services, but Mercato seemed to be cost-effective to me. Also they have easy online ordering system.

I love using Mercato, it gives me access to delicious organic food from my favorite co-op. They work with more local businesses that you can’t find on mainstream websites. It has been a lifeline during these times and I will continue to use them in the future!

It’s fantastic to be able to have fine quality foods delivered. It’s been difficult to get locally sourced quality products since the COVID pandemic. Mercato has outstanding small businesses. Other delivery services don’t have anything near the quality that the shops Mercato has. Excellent as far as I’m concerned!

Website is great as it is fast and easy. if any product if unavailable, the stores actually contact you for your preference of replacement. delivery fees are also affordable. choose any day and time and you good.

We recently placed an order for curbside pickup at our local food co-op through Mercato. The order entry process on the Mercato site was straightforward and easy to use. Once our order was placed we were able to make changes to the order with a phone call no closer than 24 hours before pickup day/time. Customer service was prompt, very courteous, and efficient. If items were out of stock, customer service made excellent substitution suggestions in real time with a quick phone call. Pickup was made as scheduled with no delays. It was definitely a great experience in customer service. We would use Mercato again.

Mercato needs a lot of improvement. I did the trial and ended up not keeping it. For one they only represent one merchant in Hawaii - Down to Earth, so depending on the actual shopper you get the service is very inconsistent and I dont recommend it. I will stick to curbside shopping and the service of my neighborhood stores and not Mercato. Mercato also promises a credit for good reviews and does not deliver on that promise. So this revised review is my honest one.

I placed my first order with Mercato few days ago and I was very pleased with the experience! The delivery came fast and I got everything in good order. I have Amazon Fresh and Stop and Shop delivery and I was happy to try Mercato! I think I will use it from now on, because there are over 100 stores near me that I can order from, and especially from my favorite store, Associates near Seneca Avenue.

I loved my experience of shopping with Mercato. The system was very easy to use and there was a great selection of vendors to choose from. Its nice to be able to get some of the quality services and goods without having to worry about the huge ordeal of going into the stores right now. The prices were great for the quality of the goods I got. I highly recommend using it!

My first delivery went very smooth. I ended up ordering from 7 different stores and was grouped in two deliverys. Both were on time and all of the food was fresh and great quality. Each delivery person called confirmed my order and was extremely friendly. With it being so difficult to secure large chain grocery store delivery this is a wonderful alternative option and you can help support small business. I have already placed two more orders!

Mercato has been such a great help during quarantine! They’ve got great local businesses featured on their app to order groceries from. I love that I can help support smaller local markets and get the groceries I need without having to leave the house. I chose to get my groceries delivered and they brought me everything I asked for right on time and left everything exactly where I asked. Delivery drivers often have issues finding my front door for some reason but they gave me room to write out directions and there were no issues at all. Great app especially for these times! I’ll definitely be using it again!

I was so happy to discover this service to our Down to Earth local store! Gave a 4 only because I asked for no mustard on my sandwich (I hate it), and my sandwich had mustard! Might be the stores error, but if there was a way to double check special orders or requests? Im thinking especially for those with dietary restrictions. Otherwise, pretty easy to use:)

This is a great site that allows for online shopping with delivery from local shops / vendors. Search for a product and the closest shop that carries the item you’re looking for will deliver to your doorstep. I was able to schedule a day and time-frame for delivery, Mercato sent me text messages when my order was out for delivery, and my items were exactly as advertised. I highly recommend Mercato.

What a great delivery service for us New Yorkers and such a great way to give business to smaller shops! Some items I had ordered were out of stock, understandable, as that happens sometimes, and the shop called to discuss possible substitutes. A great experience. Glad I found Mercato. As a guy living in the Bronx area, its very difficult to get any Japanese imported products from Japanese supermarkets located in Manhattan or Long Island City during this pandemic. Weve used Mercato twice since the start of the pandemic—once at the beginning of stay at home orders (in April) and once this past weekend (August). In just three months theyve improved the service by leaps and bounds, and Im excited to continue using it to order from our local farm store! The ordering process was as simple and easy to navigate as Instacart, and I get to support a local business and farm. The only feedback Id give would be that there be more communication about when the food has been delivered, but were home all the time so it wasnt a major issue :D Overall, planning to continue using the service and pay for it after our free trial ends.

I used this service a couple of times recently to order from the best produce store in the neighborhood. In terms of the variety, quality and price of the items, my orders were far better than those Ive made on Amazon Fresh. The delivery service has been flawless and very efficient. Everything arrived well packed and in good shape. I especially like the option of automatic replacement for out-of-stock items: they only replace them when very close substitutes are available. Nevertheless, I have to acknowledge that great part of my good experience using Mercato is due to the quality of the store.

Mercato has been such a lifesaver! As someone who doesn’t have a car this service has been essential to keep me fed, especially during the pandemic. At a time when grocery delivery has become an essential service, Mercato is a great option, especially for those of us who live in urban areas without a car. When every other service was booked for weeks in advance, Mercato allowed me to replenish my stock of fresh foods within a few days while supporting smaller local businesses. Dare I say its even been fun to browse of the aisles of stores I otherwise wouldnt think to stop by to add some variety to my grocery orders when its not safe to browse aimlessly in stores. The customer service is top notch, and Ive had no issues whatsoever with any of the orders I have placed over the past few months. Highly recommend!

Mercato is so easy to use. My local grocery market uses Mercato and the pick-up option flows so smoothly. I buy lots of meats at my local market and of course most of the time its by the pound. Whats great is that Mercato allows my local market to update the exact weight that I will be receiving upon pickup. So if I ordered for 3lb of a chuck roast, and my local market ended up cutting of 3.04 lb, that number is updated to that. So specific! I love it. A bonus is they have an easy to use mobile app. I highly recommend Mercato.

I used Mercato on Friday, September 4, 2020 and I was pleased with the service. There was one hiccup with the service. I received a text message with my delivery time. I then received another text message saying my delivery was completed but I had not received it. I called customer service and the young lady said she would look into it and call me back. She called me back in a reasonable amount of time and informed me what was going on with my order. I received my order from Halteman Family Meats and they had followed my instructions perfectly. I will be using this service again.

I was really satisfied with the delivery and the food quality. It was pouring that day and I had no hope but they still delivered at the estimated time :)The only issue I had was some items were substituted without checking but they were nice to reimburse for them/the difference and assured that they are working on having staff contact customers to get confirmation despite having lot of orders.In times like now I was just glad that they were one of the few out there delivering for other people’s safety...

We had a great experience with Mercato. They shopped our list at the store we chose and delivered in a timely way. They were a few minutes beyond the time they initially specified, but sent an email updating the delivery time. At the time of the delivery, we were able to wave to our delivery person in appreciation and he seemed happy to get the feedback. All our products were packed well in a reusable Mercato bag. Mercato did a great job in getting our groceries to us during a difficult time!

I was happy to find one of my favorite stores had pick-up service. The store has many local and unusual products and is not a large chain so I appreciate that, too. I have found this service after multiple and unsuccessful attempts to get grocery delivered from my local supermarkets as well as other online providers. The problem was after you fill your shopping cart the delivery windows were not available. By the time you get your turn, many of the items in your cart become unavailable. Of courseI I understand with pandemic situation in the country many people, older folks especially prefer to get grocery delivered. It turned out most grocery stores were not prepared for this increased demand.And than I found Mercato, and it is a blessing! I was able to choose a local store within a few miles from my home. They have a great selection of fresh fruits, vegetables, meats and everything else I need. And the prices were reasonable too. I did not believe this when they offered delivery SAME DAY! They have option of free unlimited delivery, but because of a short distance I decided to pay $7.49 for each delivery instead of signing with monthly charge.So far I got three deliveries from Fresh Food Market on Devon Ave. in Chicago. My items were nicely packed and delivered within hours to my door. Mercato takes care of payment with credit card with option to add tip for the driver, so you do not need to handle cash. So I am very happy with Mercato service and recommend it highly to everyone.

I recently ordered items from Reading Terminal and Mercato was the delivery service. My items were delivered as indicated by email. They came wrapped and packaged professionally. I was given a delivery time window of one hour and they came at the beginning of that time window(what a nice surprise), the gentlemen wore a mask and gloves as are needed during this time and announced who he was as he delivered my items. I can’t say enough about the service I received. I can tell you that I have placed another order with this company. If you have not tried them and you need groceries from the Reading Terminal or any other local grocery establishment that uses Mercato, that you normally would have purchased in person, give them a try, you won’t be disappointed!

I used Mercato to purchase items at Harrisons Poultry Farm. It was easy to use and worked well. I could schedule a time that I wanted to pick up or have delivery. I chose pick up. The items were there when I arrived and error free. It was a great experience, and I highly recommend it.

Shop Local! We recently did curbside service which provided tremendous comfort to obtain high-quality items without having to go into the store. It’s so easy! Just click what you need on the website and identify a window if when you can swing by. They placed the groceries in my trunk and I was on my way. Thanks Mercato! We used Mercato to have our groceries delivered from a local grocer. The customer service is great. I called to have an item added to my delivery and they were able to add it before the personal shopper started shopping. I would like it even better if the online functionality included an option to edit, add, or remove items before the shopper started shopping. I use Instacart and Prime/Whole Foods extensively. I would also like to see more markets available on Mercato.

Successful first order! Was able to get delivery in just a couple days, and it got delivered in the right window with my whole order complete. No complaints here!The site itself could use better site search, but I found the browsing by aisles helpful when I couldnt find what I was looking for.

During the 2-week trial of Mercato Green Ive now made 4 orders and I will no doubt continue with the service. With 2 young kids it is incredibly difficult to go shopping in-person for some foods that wed like to get. Mercato has given us the opportunity to get our favorite foods with very user-friendly delivery windows. Have nothing but good things to say about this company.

Appreciate the offset of carbon emissions with a tree planted for every delivery! Wish similar models would follow suit. Shopping local may cost a pinch more in the short term, but I rest easy knowing the right decision is being made in the long run.

Ive ordered twice from our local coop, Green Top Grocery, via Mercato. Its taken me a little while to figure out how to find all the items I want on the website, but I have become more and more successful. I appreciate that local items are featured. Ive done curbside pickup both times, which has been quick and easy.

There is a wide variety of merchants on the platform and I was pleasantly surprised to find that a bunch of my favorite stores were on the platform! I had moved from one side of Manhattan to the other and was worried I wouldnt be able to buy goods from my favorite shops so often but now with Mercato, its possible. I highly recommend using this service as a safe and reliable way to shop for your pantry staples and fresh produce. If you have any issues, the Mercato team is quick to help and resolve them!

This worked great for me. I was able to score some lovely farm fresh eggs among other things . It feels great to treat myself to some luxury items at a time like this and to know that Im helping keep our local small businesses going is even better. The Proper Sausage is a gem we need to keep in the Shores.

Seamless experience ordering from Mercato. I placed an order with a mom and pop grocery store here in Utah and received a phone call two hours prior to my pick-up time from a staff member at the grocery store informing me of the items that were out of stock and potential alternative items to replace them. I did not receive a receipt from the grocery store but did receive multiple emails confirming my order from Mercato listing out in detail the items that were out of stock and the ones that I chose as alternatives. The app is really user friendly and the receipts are very detailed.

I’ve used Mercato twice now for delivery from The Original Farmers Market in LA. Both times I was able to get delivery the following day. No problems with either ordering or delivery. It’s a great option if you don’t want to brave the stores.

Great service! We have never used food delivery services, we usually shop locally. We have 3 high risk family members in our household so are self isolating as much as possible. This service has been great to get the supplies we need, impressively quickly and to support our local businesses which in our neighborhood in queens, we know are mostly family run. We ordered lots of vegetables from the local market, and meat from our local butcher. A call was made was made for one substitution and a few minor items that were out of stock. We had great customer service!

My order was fulfilled and delivered on-time. I was notified via email when the order was finalized, sent a text prior to delivery, and notified again once driver arrived. I was surprised how easy it was and the delivery matched the delivery window I chose. I didn’t sign up for the free trial but instead paid the delivery fee and tip. Great way to support local small specialty markets during this time of social distancing and quarantine. I simply placed my order at my favorite local Middle Eastern specialty store, Bay Sweets, and within 1 hour my order of fresh delicious food and groceries was ready for pick up! Super easy!

Mercato has been a godsend during this pandemic. We’ve been able to obtain regular deliveries of quality food (better than any supermarket chain). I would not hesitate to recommend this service to anyone.

This is my first time using Mercato. My expectation was set low given the current turmoil and all other grocery delivery apps I tried are either significantly delayed or simply not accepting new orders at all. I placed the order last Thursday and Friday morning 9am the shop had called me in confirming the order. I got my order at around noon last Friday, which is the fastest grocery delivery I have ever had during the past few weeks. Coverage wise, Mercato offers a relative wide variety of grocery stores/ butchers. I am thrilled to see a lot of Japanese food markets are covered by Mercato besides a lot of Italian butchers from downtown. Again, thanks for all the efforts and hope everyone stay safe.

Mercato does a great job. Im not able to leave the house right now, so I frequently order food from different merchants that Mercato delivers for. They deliver on time and the drivers are courteous. I would recommend this service to anyone.

I am very grateful that this service is available especially when social distancing is so very important. Im also grateful that it allows me the opportunity to help local markets and grocers wholl need the business through this especially strange time. I have recommended the service to others, because it has helped us all feel like were able to do our part by staying home but still eat well and care for our families.

Ordered from Mercato for the first time and was very pleased! The produce was fresh and packaged neatly. They gave me a one hour window for delivery and I got a text and a phone call when they were close to my house. Definitely recommend to others :)

Mercato is an absolute godsend during this challenging time! Not only can you get same-day delivery, but orders are accurate and on-time, and youre supporting local grocers rather than big chains. Best of all, every order goes towards planting a tree! I love having a grocery service that I feel confident in and good about. 10/10 absolutely recommend

Mercato has been a lifesaver! They have a great selection of stores to choose from. Im happy to be able to still shop local during the pandemic. Having the ability to have groceries delivered has made things a lot less difficult.

Very good experience ordering online grocery from my favorite store and the delivery went very well. I like that I can shop safely (I have auto immune problems and was doing COVID before COVID) and I can maintain healthy eating. A lot of other options are for take out food that doesn’t really maintain good health-this Allows me to get my grocery and my store also offers hot food and grab and go stuff that is delicious but healthy. You can do a trial delivery and subscribe if you love it so there’s no commit,Emmy if you want out but pretty sure you will want to stay. If you do subscribe, you get unlimited deliveries with min purchase. Stay safe-be healthy- be good to yourself!

Great delivery service, got all of my produce from the farmers market at a time when store shelves were empty and no one else was delivering. Great customer service and best of all they donate to Eden Reforestation Project for a tree to be planted with every order. Highly recommend to support small businesses and save yourself some time. They even offer a free trial.
