I shop here every week. The prices are great. They have a wide selection of all type of food. On there digital platform they offer coupons and give you there weekly ads to see whats on sale. The produce department is full of great produce. I recommend this place to every grocery shopper out there.

Good place shopping fresh food after shopped at Walmart

My favorite store location Food 4 less at Shawline Street Claremont across Walmart. Driving from 10 miles to this store is far from but i don’t mind because it’s clean and organized. I don’t feel dizzy which aisle i will look for my needs. They have everything you need for your foodies and cleaning materials if you budget for one or two weeks. The prices of the commodity are cost effective reasonable or economical. The store staffs are accommodating and not rude unlike other location or grocery. Restroom is clean. I do hope they maintained those positive ambiance and attitude all the time. Strongly recommended!

I read some of the bad reviews and I disagree with them! This is a great grocery store with lots of options and a huge produce section! I was thankful for the low prices too! I’m so glad I came by here it’s my new go to grocery store.

Yesterday I was in clairemont doing some shopping at other stores spending birthday money. And decided to grab a few grocery items from Food 4 less. Love that I can find everything I need at a reasonable prices and find extra goodies too. My lady who rung me up was so friendly and nice in these covid times when some are not so nice. Good shopping..

Excellent store and stuff, I have been using it weekly for over 2 years now. Everything is much cheaper and in good quality.

I have been very satisfied with Food4Less on Shawline for several years. But since covid 19 I have been even happier. They have been top notch since the pandemic started. Making sure carts are cleaned before you use them. Keeping the store stocked except those early days when people were hoarding and still giving great customer service as if nothing unusual is happening. I wish I could feel as safe shopping in other stores as I do there but that’s not the case. Keep up the good work. You guys are great!!!

I honestly really love this store. Prices are the cheapest I’ve found in the area, usually a fairly stocked selection, employees are courteous, the store is huge, which makes social distancing easier, and the checkout lines move fairly fast. The reason I’m giving this place 3 stars is because of the produce. Most of the produce looks and tastes great but I’ve bought rotten onions and garlic too many times to let it slide. Particularly in the onion, potato and garlic sections, they leave rotting produce in the bins and it ends up infecting the fresher produce. Often I find flies around the yellow onions because they are going bad. It seems like they just put new produce on top of the old rotting stuff and if you’re there before they add the new stuff, you’re left with old, rotting produce. Usually about half of what I buy at this store is produce, so I’ll probably start looking elsewhere for fresh products that I can rely on.

Wide isles allow for plenty of social distancing. Very great prices & a very clean and efficient store layout.

Great store has everything for good prices

Standard classic American grocery store with a decent variety of products, including come far-from-home southern foods that many other grocery stores don’t have. Packaged goods in the center store or priced better than most stores with a nice selection. The bakery is stocked with standard “thaw and display” type desserts and the meat section is adequate. This would be a 4-Star review but the service at checkout is consistently lackluster at best and downright uncomfortable at worst. On three separate occasions the cashier has been completely engaged with another employee at the register and never even looked up. Once they were talking some pretty angry trash about a manager and how one employee was likely to be fired soon. Today the cashier was begging another employee for her shift and didn’t even acknowledge me throughout the entire transaction.

Found some great priced discontinued or clearance items. Got everything on my list and more. Still kept within my budget. Really like the store layout. Finding things was easy even though it wasnt my regular store. Ill definitely shop there again.

Excellent place to shop with fully stocked shelves with great deals. Popular with the college students that are on a tight budget. Lots of good deals in every isle. Clean and well organized. Large selection of international foods. Bakery and delicatessen on site with plenty of grab bags for sandwiches or grilled chicken. The meat counter is always being filled with great deals on the top quality meats. Large selections of frozen fish and shrimp. They do sell many Kroger Brand items at lower prices than the competition. Huge selection of cheese and cold cuts. Tend to get some odd items at times like lawn furniture or soccer balls or basketballs at great prices. The prices in many cases do beat or match the Costco deals on cereals or rice and bulk items. They do not carry lamb meat in the meat section as they found it did not sell. But they have almost every thing else.

This is definitely going to stay my grocery store of choice! It is simply the most inexpensive food at the highest quality. The fruits and vegetables are super fresh, making sure that I never have to worry about shopping at multiple stores to get what I need. I was honestly surprised at the deals on the meat, especially for how good it looked. Everything else is organized well on the main shelves and offers a good selection. Basically, Food 4 Less is everything you need in a neighborhood grocery store!

Great prices, good quality produce for a discount store and plenty of selection. There is no self checkout at this store but it wasnt an issue I at all. Staff is friendly and helpful and the lines were all short and moved along quickly. They stay open pretty late too. I was out of town but if I lived in this area it would be my go to grocery store spot.

It seems that shopping @ supermarkets has become a pleasure again..we have begun to appreciate our foods and the staff that do all the work to make it happen..stores are kept tidy and clean for a healthy environment..I just love Tangelos..dont you...keep safe my dear friends and travelers..

I go to UCSD but coming here is worth the drive - much cheaper prices on same items you would find at Vons and Ralphs. Store was very clean and I was able to find everything I needed.

Prices are cheap, fruits are cheap, veggies are cheap. I was looking for eggs, but they ran out. Later the staff went out their way and found me in the store to hand me a carton of eggs. So friendly staff, they all seem like happy workers. I go here all the time, their always happy. They even have ads placed conveniently at the entrance of the store. This is such a chill place.

I came in here while visiting. Produce was very sparse, empty bins. Kinda weird for a big grocery chain store. Great prices if they ever have it in stock. Hopefully the next time I get a chance to visit, they will be better supplied.

Prices are Great. Staff is wonderful. You have to pack your own groceries which is worth the savings. The only thing is that even though they are open until 1am they turn the lights out on all the refrigerated cases at 10pm. I dont like to grope around in the dark freezer looking for what I want. Even though I have mentioned this to many empoyees and on a survey and in a complaint online it FEELS like they just dont care enough to listen. If you are open until 1am you should be open until 1am. If you dont want my business just say so. Dont turn the lights out on me in the middle of shopping its just so rude. It really takes away from what would normally be a 4 or 5 star experience.

Not my favorite Food4Less but they do have helpful staff and generally everything I would go to any other Food4less for. Ive always had great customer service here though!

It was great! Shelves were stocked, plenty of variety in all good sections. Sales team members were available. Customer service was awsome. I love this store above other locations Ive shopped at. Keep up the good work!

Really like this store...they have lots of stuff...the shelves are constantly refilled and the store is clean and well lit. The meat section is stocked with pretty good prices. The produce section is my favorite. Staff is also friendly and helpful...only complaint is when they slice cheese they should put paper in between slices nothing like having chunks in your sandwich instead of nice sliced cheese.

This place much more often than not has lower prices than other average grocery stores. I sometimes get my meats here, but be careful. Last time I was here, I got chicken leg meat and it smelled pretty bad by the time I made a couple stops on the way home, and I took an insulated bag with me and surrounded the package of meat with frozen veggies. Usually they are pretty good, though, but giving a 3 star instead of 4 because of how fresh (pun intended) the incident was

This Food 4 Less is my preferred one. The store manager is Sergio and good customer service certainly flows from the top. Hes a good guy that cares and consistently tries and it flows through all levels. Its well-stocked as well as maintained and the prices are pretty darn good on a regular basis.

So Im not sure what the problem is with the employee moral at this store but I do just about anything I can to not shop here because the checkers have terrible attitudes! Today it was Daniel in the green scrubs. His name tag says he has been there since 2012 but I dont think he wants to be there anymore. Between watching him with the guy before me and literally the only words him speaking to me being my total I just dont get why people like that are put in a customer service position. You guys need help!!!

Open super late and always the best prices. The convenience of going here to get alcohol and snacks at midnight would be sorely missed. Huge grocery selection, I come here for a lot of late night runs.

It is food 4 less. Pretty much the same wherever you go. However, the associates here are very friendly and helpful. The best time to go is early morning, otherwise, it gets pretty busy.

Food 4 Less is my primary choice for grocery shopping. Selection is very good, prices fair and customer service is always there to help. I recommend this store and think you will be very satisfied with them.

This is one of the nicer ones Ive been to. It was clean and well organized. The milk is the cheapest Ive seen. There was no wait at the register. The parking lot is a little awkward, as there is only one exit/entrance. It is definitely nicer than the Mission Valley one for sure.

Lines move pretty quickly. You bag your own groceries here. Good variety, good prices

Very conveniently located across Wal-Mart, has just about everything youll need. Great prices on meats on the weekend. Well stocked and the employees are extremely helpful. If youre shopping on a budget, this is the place to go.

Incredible prices! Almost 50% less than Vons .... BUT about half the selection as well. Produce really tasty and fresh. My neighbor recommended it a few weeks ago and now I am a regular shopper.

Great low prices. Only suggestion would be to replace the shopping bag holders so you can bag your groceries easier. I know you have to bring your own reusables, but it would be more convenient if the holder were available.

Now that our local Ralphs is gone this is one of the better places to get meat for cheap (at least when on sale). Its been renovated so its a nicer place to shop than it used to be. And you can quickly drop by Walmart who sells almost all dry goods for less.

Saved a couple bucks tonite.

This is my go-to grocery store in the neighborhood. They have a great selection and amazing prices. I always pick up cold cuts from their deli because theyre cheap, fresh, and great on sandwiches.

One of my favorite super Markets. Great prices and a wide selection. Some of their own products are worth considering as well.

Produce section is nice. Has a really good selection and good prices. The cashiers are really friendly and off putting.

Its open till 1am so it is really convenient. The place is always fully stock up and I love the great variety of asian products they sell.

Open till 1am, decent store brands. Layout is logical, and the sales are usually pretty substantial. To beat wallmart prices just skip everything marked at full price. Terrible baked goods but thats almost a given.

If I knew that I could find marinated Mexican chicken, this place would have it. Easy. Pollo Asado is what I bought even though its not breast, but drumstick and thigh meat. I prefer to find the marinating mix, though.

I had 70 groceries items and Lupita went out of her way to help me while I felt like my cashier (Christine) was trying to rush me out of the line . I was only able to afford 3 bags but Lupita helped me by loading the cart and helping me carry extra groceries to my car. Thanks Lupita!

I usually shop here in the morning time around 7am and its nice and quiet with almost no lines. They do their restocking in the morning and the staff is very friendly. Come before 10am if you want to beat the crowds.

No frills, no bright lights, no faux-life slice of isnt it fun to shop ! Just everyday food at pretty good prices. Gotta watch those prices here and there but overall Ralphs ugly stepsister does pretty good for itself and my wallet. The big bonus is the staff...they really care and are very helpful. Definetely on my A list!

Usually an ok store, but awful hygiene. The guy checking us out coughed right into an open bag of our produce. Didnt even try to cover the cough. I mean, really? Usually not worth it to buy unprocessed meat here, prices are the same as anywhere and usually spoils early with super poor cuts.

$3 service fee for debit card transactions over $100 is ridiculous. Prices are only great on a handful of items, so the savings aspect of this grocery chain is no longer appealing. Ill take my $3 service fee to other retailers that arent charging me for using my debit card.

My boss is doing the shopping there and he gets his biggest bang for his buck and the bathrooms are real clean there too

Food 4 Less was great I was in and out pretty quick short lines. Getting in going past the buses was hassle just to make a left hand turn people were pulling in and out and it took 5 minutes just to get into the parking lot.

Open till late, less crowded, close to freeway and other stores. Good service . cost effective liquor and other products .

Sometimes the fruit is better than sprouts and sometimes it looks like it passed through a gorillas digestive tract. The beef is overpriced. Some things are cheaper but you have to be selective. The employees look miserable all the time. The restroom doors are left open so the hobosexuals dont get it on in there.

I would rate this place 5 stars but a few of the cashiers that have been there a while seem to hate there job. Infact the only time I ever see a smile or change in attitude is when they are talking amongst themselves. So poor customer relations but clean and well stocked.

Decent deals on the meat and produce. Aside from that, they play all the hits over the speaker! Ive actually had some good times shopping with friends here.

Prices are better than most supermarkets, however Smart & Final has many items for less. The exception is produce which is usually less and better looking.

I hear the employees gossiping too much about customers each other the management. Heard a manager ranting and raving about lazy employees needing new ones but prices are good

Its own by Kroger which also owns Ralphs...so basically has the same inventory as Ralphs but better prices
