Hammer & Nails has a screen repair service that is inexpensive and takes a few days that Ive used a few times, and I took a screen in today. They took a look and figured they could fix it themselves on the spot, which they did, for free. Id give them five stars anyway, but today was over-the-top. I love the place.

They had exactly what I needed to finish the job and the service was friendly and informative. Clean store as well.

Staff is super friendly, stock is limited but as expected, and the usually high ACE prices.

Wasnt sure if i ilked it or not place was clean and lines were short but many of the products they sell arent on display they are kept out back in their employee area in a way that you would never even know they sold them. Also unless your an experienced driver do not park here

Fantastic personalized shopping experience for nearly everything you’d need to do small repairs around the home from paint, lawn & garden, to hardware, cleaning supplies & more. They even give my dog treats. Special Thanks to RON & LISA who are seriously the most amazing! I never feel intimidated or lost in the store- and definitely never ignored if I have a question. Love this place and those two!!

Small but well stocked

More stuff than you would think they have. Full sheets of plywood and drywall, trim and cleaning supplies. Even the hard to find stuff is always available. Pricing is great too. Staff is always helpful. Glad they’re in my neighborhood and I don’t have to frequent the big box stores.

Ive been here so many times over the years for home maintenance projects and this staff has been so very helpful. Ive been searching for answers on fixing my home furnace and Ron answered my questions very quickly... it is such a relief knowing Ron and this team are nearby with such positive attitudes, knowledge, and superior customer service. Ron is my hero for the day!

When I lived in PB, these guys always had what I needed.So glad they were only a couple blocks from my house. They have the right supplies to accommodate renters and the local community. If you live in the neighborhood, give these guys a try before you go to one of the super hardware stores.

Probably the friendliest staff of any local small business that I have ever encountered! This is my go to store for all things to do with my hobbies (silversmithing and masonry.) The staff is knowledgeable about all of the items that they sell and can solve any problem when asked to help. I used a varnish and it left air bubbles all over the canvas. They knew exactly why and problem was solved. Thank you!

This place is awesome tucked away at the base of Mount Soledad on tbe south side in Pacific Beach. They may not have everything but you would never know it. They sure did a good job of listening to there customers and compiling the best and most relevant products that they could offer. Customer service is not a thing of the past here, their staff is always willing to lend a hand, an ear, a suggestion, and on occasion an opinion. I highly recommend this place if you are new to the neighborhood, a handyman, a contractor, or a DIY selfer its worth it.Michael
