I have had a wonderful experience working with Leslie on two different home projects. Leslie is not just a sales person but a designer! She helped coordinate door hardware for many doors, some old, some new and for cabinets all over my homes. She is so organized and made it easy for me to get her all the measurements she needed. She labeled and shipped everything to me for an out of state project. The store also has a great selection of quality hardware. I would not go anywhere else! It is so nice to shop at a place that values customer service and wants to help you.

They have a LOT of stock but overwhelmingly so! Make sure you take a number when you walk in or you will not get service. Most of the stock is not priced so its impossible to know if its worth looking at.We forgot to ask our CSR person the price of something, so we saw another CSR & tried to ask her & she brushed by us & said she was going to lunch.If money & time is no object its probably for you!

My go-to store for cabinet and door hardware! My rep (Faith) is so great to work with and is extremely detail oriented, she sends bids so quick and is great at explaining if something needs to be changed around/ordered. Shes awesome! Their showroom has a great selection of hardware and everyone who works there is very friendly.

San Diego hardware not only has wonderful handles and pulls for draws, but gorgeous mail boxes, all kinds of house numbers, highend door locks, handles and lot of strike plate sizes and colors. If you are building a gate, you will find all kinds of strong hinges and a great variety of gate locks. Dont forget to check out all the nice highend towel bars and toilet paper holders. Check it out!

Go to the big box stores(Lowes, Home Depot etc.) and make sure they dont have what you need before going here. Lots of stock at SDH but youll pay crazy high prices for it.

I’m sure this place is awesome but they are never open and when they are open you can’t go without an appointment time and those times are rarely open. I understand that things are different with covid but this is over board and enough to cause the doors to close. I’m not sure how they’re staying in business shutting out so many customers like this. My husband and I have been trying to get in for weeks to get hardware on our entire kitchen- cabinets and drawers as well as our closet doors. Weekends are when people focus on things like this and get hardware for their home projects. We are only off from work Wednesdays and they are full. For their sake, I hope that they are bringing in business. We really wish we could’ve bought our hardware here.

So, SDH has everything...Beautiful products. Prices run from extremely affordable to crazy expensive. Great customer service. Meaning very helpful.The problem is that they are slower than molasses.NOT THEIR FAULT!Its their clients. They love to hear themselves talk. My lord! Get yourself a shrink. Love this place. So many choices for knobs, pulls etc. Decorative knobs Ive never seen before. You can spend a lot of time looking at everything. Excellent, knowledgeable customer service!

This is a great place for hardware, handles, plumbing, and accessories. The staff is knowledgable and helpful. There is a full selection at all grades from mid to high end. The lot has ample parking and it is easy to find. I do miss the nostalgia of the old downtown location, but no loss of excellence in selection. The staff is good, but you will have to stay in contact and keep up with your order. They stay super busy, so be patient and you will have a great experience.

This place is awesome. I used to come here when they were in downtown San Diego. They have just about everything you can think of for restoration & improvement hardware. I live in an old apartment, and Im often inspired on things to do around my place to maintain that old school style of the 20s &30s. Its expensive but worth it if youre doing a restoration project. Oh, and they have a resident mascot dog named Coconut.

This place has a great selection & very helpful staff - I just wish their pricing was more competitive. I got some beautiful knobs for a dresser here but when it came to kitchen cabinets I shopped around & found my pulls elsewhere for a better price.

My wife and I have purchased a fair amount of hardware from San Diego Hardware over the years. Product selection is excellent, Rebecca in sales is top notch. I called today to get help with mind-frazzeling problem with a lockset I picked up yesterday. Rebecca got my number and I got a call back in two minutes from a guy named Brian who solved my problem in 1 minute. This is really excellent service! I highly recommend San Diego Hardware!

Many options to choose from. Good place to come and get idea of what is available. I think it is pricey but I this is my first time shopping for hardware, they seem to expensive in general. Usually easy get help from staff and get in and out of the store if you know what you are looking for.

I had great success with a rep named Faith. I think some of the reps arent as good. Yet, the selection is incredible and they will price match. I would definitely use them again.

I had the occasion to visit SD Hardware for the first time due to our master bath remodel. I was instantly greeted by Ema. I explained the scope of my project, the items I was looking for and showed her a few pictures of what had caught my eye online. Being my first experience, I was overwhelmed by the 1,000s of choices but with Emas patient assistance and the ability to take product samples home, we found the perfect items. In this day of questionable customer service, it was a pleasure to work with someone who provided 5 star service. I highly recommend SD Hardware for its large selection of quality products in all price ranges and their outstanding customer service.

Extremely slow service and check out. Have been there 4 times in last few months and each time was slow. Good collection of hardware but plan on spending some time.

San Diego Hardware has an impressive inventory of cabinet handles and pulls, perhaps the best in the county. There also is a good selection of door handles and lock sets. Prices are competitive though often more than online sources (but you dont have to wait for shipping). Staff is helpful, but during busy times you may have to wait a while for assistance.

The coolest process of shopping at San Diego Hardware Company starts as soon as you walk in. They have a good ole fashion take a number dispenser system, getting a sales associate to help you in an orderly manner.They have very good organization of all the home hardware you could imagine. These are not your average cookie cutter - low quality fixtures. Their selection consists of a wide variety of shapes, sizes, and colors to suit any level of decor.The down side of shopping here, is the lack of in stock inventory. So go there before you need to build or install your hardware. Get it ordered a week or 2 early.

Faith (as well as her manager Dori) are incredibly knowledgeable and helpful when it comes to all things to do with door hardware and more. I did a complete renovation and found all the answers to my difficult questions at SDH. She was very responsive and timely in getting back to us when we had questions, and made excellent suggestions on the best products to use to meet our needs. Also, they have a very large inventory to choose from for all your home projects.

1) We recently painted the exterior of our home, and the old house numbers looked tired. So I went looking for some matte black raised numbers at the usual places, but had no luck. (It seems like a dark bronze is the color du jour.) But San Diego Hardware had exactly what I wanted on display. They placed an order, and they arrived in five days. Perfect!2) Then I needed a new wall-mounted mailbox that was matte black with no decoration on it at all. Looked online and couldnt find what I was looking for. Walked into the store, pulled a number, went upstairs and found exactly what I wanted. It was in stock, so I left the store as a very satisfied customer!

San Diego Hardware has custom cabinet and drawer pulls and knobs that you can’t find anywhere else. If this an item you can’t find there is a good chance San Diego Hardware carries it or can source it.
