We worked with Made Lumber on a project for one of our clients in La Playa, San Diego. We wanted to create a Geometric design/3D wood panel wall to be hung in the Master bedroom. We had no idea where to start but with Brians expertise and patience, we finally figured out what exactly we were trying to accomplish and how to execute it. Made lumbers wood shop has the most skilled carpenters weve ever worked with not to mention a wide variety of wood species selections for any type or size of project. The best place on the west coast for live edge wood slabs and custom live edge furniture creations. I sent Brian (the owner) a photo of what type of furniture I was looking for and he went above and beyond to help me pick a few slabs and walk me through the process... he totally beat my expectations. Brian built two custom live edge benches and a created a beautiful desktop for my studio... we get so many compliments on these items. Now, I am trying to find excuses for Brian and the team at Made Lumber to make me more custom furniture! How much is too much?

Among the best places for live edge wood slabs for mantles, tables, and shelves. Theres always a great selection of redwood, maple, cypress, walnut, and more; inventory changes regularly and always has impressive pieces. Some cutting, sanding, and other shaping can be arranged. The place is almost worth a visit just to admire the grain and texture if the slabs, and smell the wood fragrances.

The service here is always good. We are currently working a project that will require the purchase and cut of a live edge slab. Brian was very helpful and we will continue to use this company in the future. The parking on the street is limited, but they do have a yard where you could park for loading a purchase. They stay busy so plan your project with them and they will accommodate you.

Made Lumber, no pun intended, made the process of selecting a live edge slab for my orthodontics office a piece of cake. Brian met with me and walked me through the process of selecting a slab(s) that would not only match and look the best, but also fit within my budget. He was so easy to work with -- Made even cut the piece for us for no additional charge so it would fit in my truck. They have some exquisite slabs on display, so I will definitely be back to vist. Their shop has an inspiring allure to it, from the unique front desk decor to the laid back chill dog that relaxes the day away there. They even have a wooden backboard for their basketball rim, which totally fits with the vibe of what they are all about. The prices were extremely fair. This was my first foray into the world of live edge slab selection, but I am so grateful we discovered Made Lumber on Instagram. Id highly recommend!
