Great place for bargain hunting and bulk shopping - not everything is cheap here but some prices are amazing. Has a going out of business vibe with disorganized and empty shelves. But its a breath of fresh air after paying the bouge tax at most groceries in the area.

Truly horrible customer service. Some of the worst trained most unprofessional staff I have ever encountered. Saving a few dollars isnt worth being treated like cattle instead of customers.

Its as trustworthy as ever! Providing a broad range of international and local products for healthier choices as well as fresh foods. I was a regular customer of this supermarket for many years. You can always ask the staff for help, and with a smile. This supermarket is always the best. Recommended strongly!

It shows a great deal about a company when they consistently maintain low turn-over rates. Ill take a smile and how have you been? over polished countertops & stuffy interior mood lighting ANY DAY! God knows, with the way our world is changing, what people both need and want is a friendly & familiar face.. a small thing delivered in a big way here.. If I could give negative stars I would. Not because the store was dirty or the prices were too high, but simply because the cashier was sooooo rude and unprofessional!! He kept walking away from the register as he was ringing up my stuff, like someone was calling him or something. He practically threw the bags I asked for at me and also tossed my receipt and card at me like we were playing catch. I forgot his name but he was an older white man with hardly any hair and his face was very red like an alcoholic. I’m never going back here again. He was bad vibes.

Food is temperature abused by going into the danger zone from waiting in long as hell lines day in day out all night long. It sucks to shop here.

You cant beat the prices for the items the deals of the week, it was what lured us in and we continue to shop here as it has great prices overall. Definitely cheaper than Safeway even for the same products, and better fruits and vegetables quality than Safeway. We do go to other nearby stores like Cardenas for cheaper groceries and Walmart neighborhood market for staples like canned food. Foodmaxx is at its best with the deals

Covid prep is worse than other store but better than safeway. Wide isles help this a lot. Price is great especially if you can buy bulk. Store is a big worn but seems clean. Lots of choices. All in all my favorite due to the prices.

I think Im going to give this store a four and a half out of five stars. I really like this store for three reasons. Theyre open until midnight, theyve got excellent prices, and the produce department is excellent. I especially like the fresh fruit selection. Im a night owl, and I like shopping at nights when its cooled off, and not as many people out and about. I consider this my main go to, for groceries.

Always busy with a lot of people, but prices are pretty good. However, a few months back there was a stabbing that occurred in the parking lot in the middle of the day.

Take your savings to the maxx here.Bang energy drinks for 88cents and five dollar bags of chips for three dollars. Its small savings that add up.

Good place to shop, kind of reminds me of Costco. Got to watch and know your prices though. Some deals are not that great and some are.

Customers service is on point. The workers are so friendly and helpful, very engaging to their regular customers. The store is clean and well stocked. Theyre quick to open up new register when the lines are too long. Ive never had a bad customer service here and my family and I have been shopping here for 16+ years. My husband works at Safeway and hed rather shop here than his own store. Thank you Foodmax staff for being AWESOME!

You really like this location the store is huge are always well stocked. There is a large variety of fruits and vegetables, even organic. I have yet to be disappointed at the variety of their selections. I have found everything Ive needed and then some.

Worst costumer service that I received at night, and it was my first time visiting a foodmaxx. Because cashier was rude, I said thank u and he did not say you welcome. Also, I got my item and my ticket and I was getting the rest of my item and he pushed me with other costumer item, it looked like he wanted me to leave at soon as I got my ticket.

Thinking this is cheaper? think again, some products are more expensive than nearby stores. The store is huge and well stocked, just some brands are not very good and prices are higher often.

I have for years shopped this store. Ive had long conversations with plenty of my fellow shopping friends over this staffs incredibly shallow and cold attitude. In fact, were all amazed that weve had so many similarly bad experiences. For example, recently I was shopping at the mark down rack and along comes an electric pallet jack loaded higher than me with the driver fully aware of me shopping that rack. He doesnt slow down at all but simply begins to push me into the stockroom. Hes suddenly left me no where else to go left or right. (This worker is among the worst.) At that time I loudly said where do you want me to go? into the stockroom? A majority of this staff thinks they have no time for anyone and you will know it too if you shop here. Two other area grocer$ know that Ive made up for it. 🚘

Place is clean, easy to see from traffic. Its clean and was not too crowded when I went. The stores employees were helpful and they do have an array of different items. The cakes although are dry and you can tell by the icing on them.

Foodmaxx always has competitive pricing for almost everything that they sell. It would be nice if they had more locations instead of being spread out so far. More cashiers would be great but like almost all grocery stores they are always cutting back on staffing and hours.

My experience was a nightmare today, one of you employees, decided to approach me, asking me do really need all those bags, I respectfully responded, I paid for them and its none of your business, continued to follow the door tell not to use profane language to him. Had he approached me correctly, by just asking me for a receipt for the bags, I would have given it to him, teach your employees to stop with the racial profiling

Like the selection but some of the workers have bad attitude. Like Blanca for instance!

Pretty good for deals in grocery shopping. Usually find unique items as well. It has self checkout for 10 items or less. Better to visit while its not busy as the waiting time may get higher than usual. People unsurprisingly fill out carts fully!

FoodMaxx got good prices for foods, easy to find parking space. FoodMaxx is short stuffed and cashiers are not friendly. I would recommend that they get retrained on costumer service and hire more people.

Plenty of parking,discount prices and bagging your own groceries. Unfortunately theres always long lines and sadly homeless people in the parking lots.

This is a wonderful place to go grocery shopping because they have great prices the fruits and vegetables are usually in expensive decent quality and fresh and they have great prices on Foster Farms split chicken breast with rib bone that sometimes you can find for 98 cents per pound.

Humongous store, they carry everything, especially for Mexican cooks, & at the lowest prices compared to large chain Supermarkets.

Friendly staff, they are always stocking the shelves, and are helpful when you ask for assistance. Great variety of food in each aisle its almost hard to choose.

Good variety and low prices. The staff are helpful with disabilities needing the electronic carts. They helped me find a place to sit until one was available. I do wish people would stop steeling the carts since the store is now down to 1.

Good food long line but quick service

Prices are great. Store is usually clean and organized. The only problem I have is how long the checkout line can get. If you want to get in and out, dont purchase anything around 9PM. Their self-checkouts arent available at that time and they will have at maximum, 2 checkout lines open.On a positive note, their rotisserie chickens are AMAZING.

Food Maxx is the perfect grocery store for what I need. The store has open hours everyday from 6am to 2am which is perfect for me. The store is close to home and close to the freeway for me, another bonus. I have not really shopped anywhere else so I truly cannot compare prices, but so far the prices seem to be affordable and the selection is excellent. I really enjoy this place, great job.

Open 24hr which suits my aberrant schedule, Food Maxx has a nice large produce area. The savings are significant on the varied items they purchase large lots of. I got fresh ginger for $0.49 recently ($2+ elsewhere). Most everything I want they have. Off hour shopping is best if you dont like mobs tho.

The last time we were here, you could get inside. They are working on restoring it so you can do that again. The store was closed so I couldnt add to my magnet collection.

Not a bad grocery store! Everything is pretty affordable in the frozen, veggie and box foods area. There wasn’t much meat to choose from and what they did have was slim pickings and very expensive!!!They did the social distance while in line it wasn’t super packed on Sunday. We also got a Redbox while there and plenty of parking. It’s right off the freeway in San Jose. The clerk was nice and saw I had my daughter and opened a new line and got us up front!They had plenty of food and TP! Lol

Good place to shop! Value format youll find what you cane to buy plus more!! Meat value is outstanding. Chicken is always on sale in somenshaoe or form. Vegetables are fresh and priced to move. This place gets better and better as the company grows the produce is better than luckys and theres more products at a great price, the one thing you do have to do is bring your waiting shoes cause with the large amount of product that everyone manages to get in on the cart takes awhile but the place is clean and the people are helpful and friendly

This market is good for low prices. Lower than Grocery outlet markets. The checkout lines need to be improved way better. They need to open way more checkout stands, to ease the over flow of customers
