It was a quiet and slow night. All employees and customers had their mask on and kept a respectful distance from one another. I noticed a worker cleaning and wiping up an area. At check out, they have the plexiglass between the register and the customer asking with a sign for customer to please wait for them to call them up prior to putting their purchases on the conveyor belt. Employees were efficient, nice, and respectful, couldnt ask for more.
The staff at this location was extremely helpful. This location is also extremely convenient. However, This location is very empty. Many if not almost all aisles have entire empty sections where shelves have been disassembled. Many pantry basics and Staples have had their entire sections removed. Items that are in stock are kept with only one unit available to buy on the shelves. I dont understand why this location is still open and serving customers. Its impossible to buy everything you need at this store, because they are sold out of the most basic items. Obviously, those items wont be restocked because the shelves in those sections are missing. There isnt even a place to put products if they got them in stock. Its baffling why this location still has its doors open. It dilutes the Luckys brand by having a store that sold out of everything. Why would anyone go to another Luckys location? It makes you think other stores are probably sold out of everything too.
Stopped at luckys store to get a sandwich. All were fresh and made in the store. The store was clean and tidy although some of the shelves were bare. The employees were busy doing their job of opening up the store.
My experience midday was fast and efficient. There selection isnt wide but most things can be found at this store.
Im lucky to have this store nearby, Ive been to others blah. I wouldnt buy meat anywhere else, good deals every week and fresh seafood too!
My husband and I live very close to this grocery and usually go there to buy what we need. Today I went there to return an item my husband bought by mistake yesterday (I wanted a different but similar product) with the product obviously sealed, but they refused to accept the return even when I had already with me the other item in hands to make the exchange. They even didnt get the trouble to see what it was and immediately told me they are not accepting returns because of covid concerns. What??? Every time I needed to return or exchange some product in any other supermarket they always accept if the product is untouched and sealed, and never told me some absurd and lame excuse. This is something new Ive never face in any store or grocery even during this times of covid, which makes me think they were only ill-disposed. Plus, it was not a food I was trying to return, it was a medication sealed package. This didnt make any sense and I felt poorly treated as a costumer. My husband and I do not intend to spent more dollars in this place anymore after this ridiculous episode. Better go to Target and Sprouts instead, even if it takes extra miles.
A grocery store whos bathroom is closed. ..I almost left but I thought Ill hold it. Cashier very efficient.
Prices are a little bit lower than the Safeway a couple of blocks swsy. They do not have a fancy bakery or meat counters. The store is spacious with wide aisles. They have a pretty good deli.
Friendly employee, good customer service and very clean store a lot good stuff.
I went to Luckys after an 8:00 AM dentist appointment. At 9:30 AM the store had very few people inside, probably due to the Covid-19 protocol. I got the 2 items my wife asked me to pick up and was in and out of the store in no time. This made me very happy.
Great customer service easy parking with electric handicap shopping cart
Good food with good value. Good service.
Admittedly in the past decades as this location went from Frys, SaveMart, and now Luckys, we didnt shop there much. Mostly for a few things I forgot somewhere else. I have noticed improvements over the years: more organic foods, more choices, a stellar fruit and vegetable area with many others choices... However in these pandemic times, it is my go to place. Closer, not usually super crowded, and smaller numbers of people and staff, because it is not a super sized store. Less risk. Friendly staff, always well masked. After this is over, I will shop there normally I think. Good people.
The place is quick and efficient, very average grocery stores. SOMETIMES- Homeless people hang out next to the liquor store and coffee shop.
Need to maintain cleanliness outside the store as well....place is a bit shady at night...
As a first time customer, this was a pretty bad experience. Customer service means alot and they definitely need training. My interaction with Rick and Gabriel sealed the deal. I tried engaging Rick who was the cashier multiple times and Gabriel was too busy doing other things than to bag groceries and keep the very long line moving. Only two registers open with lines from the front end to the deli down the aisles.
I am a regular because I live near by. Employees are always friendly. They see me enough they dont need to know i will be back
I went to this store 3 times this week to buy yogurt and all 3 times they did not have it ???
Workers are really nice, friendly & helpful !!
Employees are rude and mean. I have ever seen in this store. They need to be trained.
Im not sure why I every go to this location. They rarely have any of the advertised sale items in the meat department. This is a smaller Lucky, with a rather useless selection. It is not a one stop grocery, the prices are high enough that there isnt any value, and the selection is limited. If its really local to you and you need a really common item, they may have it, but not with driving even 5 miles to.
Lotsa TP, even Charmin. Getting back to almost normal. All Covid precautions enforced. Safe supermarket 👌😊
I give Luckys three stars because they really need to update their stores. its not like theyre charging less for their food. theyre actually one of the major expensive store chains and it doesnt make sense that we pay money but the shopping experience is so ugly.I still think Luckys is a great place to shop, but I would just like to see it updated and more modern like Safeway.
Incredible to get the job done
This place is very old... the quality of the products were terrible... we bought hamburger meat for tacos and it has since been referred to as the “meh” meat... will continue going to sprouts insteadThere was a broken part of the display and when my fiancé brought it up to an employee they didn’t care at all. It actually hurt my fiancé so he wanted to make sure it didn’t happen to anyone else.
Workers always nice and polite
Better then safeway in milpitas is the reason for the visit
Not crowded at all. Pretty clean. Friendly cashiers.
I love shopping here. It is always neat and organized. Its a real local market feeling. The employees are the nicest people. Renee always gives you a warm welcome. Last time i was there it was after my daughters softball game. She was feelin a bit down about her team losing. Renee asked about the game and once he seen her sad reaction he gave her the most encouraging pep talk. She walked out feeling better then she went in. Great people. Great store. Why shop anywhere else. ..
I highly recommend this store for groceries shopping they are very friendly and good customer service.
Good grocery stores
Great place to shop.
This place is the worst market, no Meat department, they said they have leg of lamb but they they didnt have them at all. Please stay away from this market. Go to the Asian market called 99 Ranch or Lucky 7 market on McKee between king and Highway 101.
Glad they stayed open late, compared to other grocery stores around the area
The manager is a very warm, caring person. Employees are helpful
This place is pretty darn expensive. Would rather go to another grocery store with similar items and lower prices.
Easy to find parking and plenty of food supplies. Easy access to the free way.
The customer service is good, but it seems I always get there when theres a rush.
Good place for getting fruits and groceries.not enough choices in meat or delis. Compared to other bay area super markets this place need some renovation or remodelling. Offers cam be more publishized. I wish the store management spend some time in that.
Older supermarket. Same food as every other lucky. Fresh fruits and vegetables, and fresh bread. Staff is nice and helpful. Lines usually fast.
Well i have been going to luckys for 20 years now and i have allways been able to find exactly whAt i need also if you need money order they will help u with that
I was in the area and needed to stop for a few things. It was convenient because it was on the way home. The store is nice and clean. I went to the produce dept first and immediately became a bit annoyed because there were 2 children running around like they were at the doggone park! They were with their father who absolutely WAS NOT even paying attention and one of the kids nearly ran smack into me, completely ignored that I was even present and continued running and the father was totally clueless and oblivious to their behavior.People PLEASE, PAY ATTENTION TO YOUR CHILDREN! It is a huge inconvenience to the public when your children are unattended to while others are trying to shop not only that, they run the risk of becoming injured. The public is simply not a playground. Watch your children....PLEASE!
Good selection of stuff. Prices are alright. I come here mainly for convenience. I dont see them having any special items so dont have a reason to make a special visit.
This supermarket feels a little small, but it has a friendlier vibe. Id prefer this location over many others
The cashies are the best !
Opened up a line if they saw more than 3 people. And they made sure they sanitized the carts after use! (And friendly people)
I shop at Lucky because they charge less than Safeway and I like their brands better.
Its nice having a local grocery store that is clean and well stocked.
I love this location its clean well stocked and not to busy all employees there are great always asking if we need help
Though a smaller store, has the essentials of a supermarket. I wish their items have longer shelf life. Deli meats, packaged dry items, mayo expire within the same month or month after. Mentally ill bums hang out nearby.
I went to buy groceries to make breakfast tomorrow, but as i was passing through the aisles i saw 2 African American girls shoplifting, infront of cashiers face, another worker there pretending she didnt see anything, but pretty sure she was aware of what was going on, the girls were packing their duffle bags with baby foods and other stuff as well!! According to the cahier the security was outside receiving a delivery!! Im very disappointed for what i was saw today!! I will not be coming back to this Lucky store!
Typical grocery store. People are nice. They have pretty good deals. Check the flyer every week to find them.
Great deals at times. You can really save a lot if you buy the sale items.
They are keeping up with the current trends require wearing masks, having social
Quick stop. In and out. Had what I needed
Long lines at 4:30 on a Saturday. When I politely asked the guy to call another checker, he doesn’t even respond. Not a great organic selection, no potatoes, no stew meat.
This place lacks kosher and halal deli and dinner meats but seems OK for any run of the mill place. This chain has a very old fashioned promotion going where whenever one purchases items, after having spent a certain amount, one is given some stamps that go toward earning cookware with the exchange of a sufficient amount of earned stamps one has acquired.
Excellent 👌
Goes there in urgent need only. Location is good but exit is too difficult coz of turns and entry exit of 680. They Dont have things which I need most of the times.
Things are easy to find and pretty clean.
They have continually updated sales and are well stocked. Its a decent place to go grocery shopping for on the shelf foods, but not too great for fresh items.
I was given a coupon for $1.50 off any meat over $5. I found a Max pack of hamburger that I can make a few 1/3 pound patties for the BBQ. Yum 🍔
Much better than Safeway a little south of here. Good everyday prices, good quality. No complaints.
Good for fruits, veggies and general grocery shopping. Ample parking and good prices. They also do EBT. If you are looking for novelty items though the options are limited.
They always have what we need. However we buy the bananas which are always slightly green. When we get them home two days later they brown inside? Not good.
Very friendly people and very clean place
Prefer this over the Safeway. Shorter lines and they have everything you need. Ive been going here for over 30 years.
Was hoping this place would get better when it changed from save Mart to Luckys but it stayed the same. Rude employees, under stocked shelves and half the time they get a product I like and buy all the time they stop stocking it. I complain and they do nothing.
I really liked this Lucky store,it was just the right size for me,I got Everything I needed and the employees were ey nice, one thing that I seen that could of been better was only 2 lines were open and it was after 5, should have more cashiers.I will be going back to this store
Using the app for offers is not user friendly and the wifi at the store is poor. The employees were helpful and patient, so made up for the lousey app.
As this Lucky location was a former Savemart Supermarket, it doesnt feel like a lot has changed. The staff is all pretty much the same and service is average. The produce, meats, and bakery are ok, but I try to catch the good sale items during the weekly ads. Typically their Friday, Saturday, and Sunday 3 day sale ads are where they have the best prices.
Its a decent grocery store. Near to my place. I get pepperidge pastry sheets here which i dont at Walmart. Good if you need something basic urgently and quick.
It is a good store great variety. Found what I needed.
Luckys grocery stores are hard to find and far apart! What I mean by that is, theres only a few left in San Jose. I feel like its one of the last real grocery store chains left. Ive been shopping at this particular Luckys for a few years now. The employees in this particular Luckys are stone/straight faced and their body language is very unwelcoming. Not very many smiles. They all always look tired and bored out of their mind. Like they really just didnt want to be there that day or any other day that you see them for that matter. At least they still hold their old policies: clean store, fresh produce/products and when a cashier gets backed up with a long line, the other cashiers rush to shorten the lines by opening another register for your convenience. Not many places do that anymore!
This location needs self check out because the clerks are often unpleasant and the people who shove your stuff sloppily into bags are also just as redundant. The prices at this location are rather high, often even higher than Safeway, but with much less selection (perhaps that is why they feel like they can charge more for what they do have, in some backwards sense..) This spot either needs to shape up, or its existence will be completely pointless when they finish this new Sprouts up the road since there is a bigger, better Luckys with a self checkout nearby, as well as a superior Safeway right down the street, and, best of all, even a Grocery Outlet right down the way...so, wait..why does this place even exist again, when the selection and service are poor and the prices are at such a premium? I am looking forward to the new Sprouts being completed, because between there and the Grocery Outlet, I see no reason to ever go to this Luckys again unless somehow the other two are closed.
This lucky is open late hours . Has water refill as well. Great for quick shopping visits
Really old place, but looks clean and organized
Close to my house and staff is friendly and meatcutter Kevin is very helpful. Been going here since it was Savemart! Good sales ads!
Quick buys but I will not buy meat there. Great fruits and veggies.
Very clean store, it was pleasant to shop inside.
This is a store where you can find most of your kitchen needs. They have organic things if you are sensitive in that field. Its good to know they do photo cakes here, basically they print your didital photo on the cake. It doesnt sound healty but its fun, especially kids like it.
I like that Lucky carries so many varieties of fresh fruit,I love the sushi bar .what I didnt like was I waited at bakery for assistance more people waited as well no help
Been coming here for the last 3 years and they are great. Always helpful and friendly, good about calling for more help when lines get too long.
Hafa adia great place to shop back in the day 🌶️.
Nice neighborhood store and wonderful staff.....good camaraderie and service!
Great deals. Staff is really helpful and friendly. Small selection of meat
Nice people and fast check out too
Service is not good.you are only have better service to your country people
Just your small neighborhood super market. Decent prices that wont break the bank. It used to be a Save Mart store.
Its not bad for daily grocery shopping but the catering actually has nothing good at all
Good food. In door or outside seating.Music at night. Full bar.
Very nice store it has all the groceries you need a pharmacy, flower shop, deli,Starbucks and Redbox inside.
I like shopping at Lucky stores. Everyone is so helpful.
I always shop at this Lucky Supermarket. The employees r always friendly and helpful.
It is a good store great variety. Found what I needed.
Usually quick and has almost everything we need. Good produce :-)
Went here on new years eve, I hate being that person who shows up on a holiday because I always hate having to work holidays. However, the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful.
Great store with a lot of frequent good sales, staff are all really nice too, Hugo is especially helpful!
